Caravans and hiace,delica,vannet,liteace,townace,l300, Bongo, brownny these vans are common vans around the world but unfortunately our brothers and sisters from nort America didn’t get these awesome vehicles from Japan.
Water does give better cooling than air. It's just an extra few parts to go wrong. Water can change state and boil so it absorbs more heat. Whereas air can't do anything more than get superheated. You could in theory use the A/C system to cool the intercooler and you'd probably get even better power gains
@@JonathanLong It was difficult getting parts in the US. I had the van for about a year, and it was being worked on for half of it. Getting parts and mechanics to work on it was a hassle. I sold it and bought a Hiace which was a bit easier but not much, just sold that a couple months ago.
Power gives down shifts sooner. Good for towing. Hold is sometimes called snow. It lets the transmission "slide" a bit between shifting and keeps gears high for better traction accelerating in slippery conditions. In my personal experience, I never use these options.
No diff lock or ajdustable 4-wheel drive - 4HI, 4Low? That is clearly a huge drawback compared to the Delica Starwaggons, even though this is not an off-road van. :)
Why is the United States not to bring such as Nissan Elgrand E51 ? Big tax ? Or what ? Why only old cars come to you ? A caravan for example to Russia not to bring, because the tax for him 20000$ And for example all that is 5-7 years very good .
Red Phoenix exactly, its an artificial manipulation of the free market to keep new car makers and dealerships in business. it pisses me off. canada has similar law as well but only 15 years there. we have 25 year law. very stupid law.
Because as much as Americans like to think they have a free market, they absolutely do not, in any industry. This particular rule is supported by the powerful auto industry lobby that doesn't want imported cars to undercut domestic car sales, and lobbies and their $ rule the USA to the great detriment of the people.
i thought it was initially because a little GERMAN company called mercedes benz was losing profit margin to grey market cars and lobbied congress with millions $$ to stop the grey market and was successful
International name: Nissan Urvan. (2000-2016 spec)

Just bought one of these in the US, such a rad van!
Hi. How hard do you find it to get parts for this van? I'm looking at getting one

@@LarsReber I feel that. I had the same hell problem with my crown. My beat is far easier
Most beautiful caoch ever. Very happy to own a one
I love Nissan Caravan E24 and I'm proud to own a one still
is yours still running?
@@nicksmynickname yes
this is actually the coolest car in existence!!
Close but not the coolest. That designation goes to the Caravan "HOMY" simply because of the name.
Van*
Forgive me if this has already been asked but what kinda fuel mileage would this get? Mpg? Thanks
When we are paddling the accelerator, there is a click sound when we fully pedal it. Could anyone please tell me what it is.
Much better than those of standard Nissan Urvan used as multi purposed vehicle
These are still being produced here in the Philippines
Jamoresi yes
Philippines produce urvan, not caravan. Both of them are all phased out.
Shit Got Real Urvan and Caravan are both, for international markets its called the Urvan, but in Japan its called Caravan
9:13 I wonder where I can get one of those as aftermarket. It looks cool to have those when I practice parking backward
I love this caravan 😍🥺
Oh and I forgot to say, subscribed to your channel, very interesting to talk ) I import parts from Japan and Korea .
Hey you think I could get one or those vans with the Driver seat in the left side?
I think they were sold in Europe as lhd and were called urvan
Favorite van Nissan caravan
Will it do a wheelie if the back is loaded with stuff?
Please can anyone say what the POWER BUTTON does?button says HOLD,AUTO and POWER?what is the meaning of that button

@@PacificCoastAuto thankyou very much friend
Nice! Too bad the interior had those scratches and things but I think it is very comfy to sit in the 2nd and 3rd row!
beautiful video ...keep on specially sharing infos like turbo timer
Was that a manual choke knob to the left of the steering wheel?
Yes, it is very much like a choke but diesels don't have carburetors so it functions differently but has a similar effect.
Cool!
I was indeed wondering why a fuel-injected turbo-diesel had a choke knob on it.
we own a different variant of this van, the shorter wheelbase the nissan homy, has the same turbo engine and comes in two wheel drive
I think both similar homy and caravan
Cool van :)
I love it so much.....please can you bring Kia besta to USA please please
Can you get one this with manual transmission ?
This is awesome but all I could think about was that SOUND."BWEEEEWEEEWEEE...BEEEEEHHHH. BWEEHHWEEEHHHWEEEEE....BEHHHHH"
I know. Sorry, it will be that way for a month or so. By September, they all die off.
sadly i'm in hawaii and the 25 year rule does not apply. hell, what makes me even more sad is guam has no 25 year rule. you can import anything there!
JDM tree!!!! Yes, and crazy JDM birds!
Thanks
ilove those insects in the background they remind me of old japanese cartoons....plz do the cressida
The Cresta (spelling different for JDM model... lol) will go up next week.

Btw I'm a 10 year old but I love these videos there the best

Is not still
In the 90s Mazda and Nissan (Neiysaaahn if you are American) had a battle as to who can build the tallest auto shifter. Nissan won.
That Caravan looked like a Ice Cream Van lol it's a variations of this van.

Good condition van 👍
I would buy that old caravan off you. Cool as.

Hi from Russia. I have similar Caravan, just in 1993 body and in a bit worse condition:)
How fast they go ?
@@barcelona5602 I pressed until 150kmph, so fast enough

The yanks are into some kind of protectionism. By making it impossible to buy good JDM cars, the consumers lose and the domestic car industry wins.

This channel would be better off with a 1999 Nissan Skyline R34 V-Spec with a Bayside Blue finish
I would also be better off with one.
I thought so
Did you wash your hands after you made this video?
