the X2D with the newest V series lenses I would describe as "just fast enough to not be annoying". I agree that Sony (or Leica SL, which is probably the highest IQ you can squeeze out of full frame right now) have stunning output but ultimately Hasselblad's color science is so good that with their lenses I find it basically impossible to improve on the color/white balance that comes straight out of the camera. the adapting crowd are indeed using Fuji cameras, which have their own drawbacks, but if you want the big sensor and a focal plane shutter that's your choice I guess.
@@chipxhazard The X1DII is already a good bit faster and it also doesn't have to be the latest glass. The 45p and 28p as well as the older 90mm are great lenses and a lot cheaper. The electronic shutter is still effectively unusable though, even on the X2D.
Yeah agree, with @TCMx3 below - we run two X2D's with a HAss 907xCFV100c, but we also have a bunch of Leica - SL3, Q3 and a suite of fast 'M' primes - we are Pro's 35 years in the game based in the UK mostly covering Cotswold Weddings where the warmth of those chocolate box esque environments need to be captured correctly. Leica for Black and White Hass for its HNCS - top fun fact - when Hass bought Imacon what they really got was all the colours - thats what HNCS is all about - Fuji with their multitude of Film sims can't even get close - and what's the point if you shot it in RAW anyway and if you haven't whats the point of Fuji GFX MF? Mute extra point we use Profoto A10 flash as Hass uses Nikon Protocols and it all integrates seamlessly especially now with the addition of the proper trigger mount included when you buy a 907x100c which was not available on the 907x50c - you can get a trigger on using the optic attachment and make it work via a lead into the headphone socket but you were stuck with it - the trigger won't come off again - I know, I tried and that would only work on Elinchrom and Broncolor as Profoto do not make a modern trigger with a small sync port!!!!
cool music, the video shots look really nice. What camera are you using for the video and what kind of post process? What beach is that?
Thank you! I used the DJI osmo pocket 3. I can make a video on the post process. It’s Jacksonville beach, Florida

Yeah I just don’t have the budget for an X2D with a V series lens.

I think you're too hard on yourself, I saw a lot of really nice photos. I own the X2D so I can't compare. Thanks for the video! 👊
Thank you for the kind words!! 🙏🏽
