    My friend used to dis-assemble the engine if he went into a restaurant on a date, and then rebuild it when he came out. He alwayswondered why he had trouble getting a second date.

    Curious how to lock the hood on a '65 Mustang? Chain & padlock? Also would a trailer wheel chock lock work on 1 of the wheels to imobilize it?

    Another even easier way is to swap the coil wire with any plug wire at the cap, ect,remove coil wire and #8 plug wire and swap locations, although it is noticeable, the engine will not start and would deter most thieves from taking the time to trouble shoot the cause

      @@MustangRestorationsInc no sold it a long time ago unfortunately. Had a GNX #529 I sold also. Really regret that one. But it is what it is. I want a new Mustang GT now with that 10 speed auto and and stick a Pro Charger in it. Do you have one of those Starsky & Hutch Gran Torino in your warehouse? Think I saw it in the background in your video. Anyway I didn't know you were still in business. Glad to see you are. I will subscribe to your page. Regards,Ralph

      @@cctrans29 I remember you now that you mention the GNX. Yes I have a Starsky Torino that I bought from Geroge Barris who had put the car together for the 2004 movie...I've since made the car an over the top show car as illustrated in the video. Ok. Long time ago. Does the Torino have a stroker 351W? That thing has to go. The movie ones looked they had good HP.

    thanks alot man! I'm 15 I
    just finished my 1966 ford Mustang and I'm excited to drive it around but I'm pulling my hair out scared to death to leave it anywhere, i dont live in a good area and my high school im about to enter isn't the safest do you think it's safe to park it in the school parking lot doing this trick?

    • @MustangRestorationsInc
      @MustangRestorationsInc  8 лет назад

      Yes. Keep the rotor in your pocket. It will keep someone from taking the car.. Unfortunately it will not keep someone from vandalizing the car.

    • @pizzagoblin3654

    • @tgafire87
      @tgafire87 7 лет назад +1

      pizzagoblin This way does work but if your going under the hood every time you park your car it will and up being a hassle and you'll quit doing it after awhile. AND your just showing all the dirt bags around that it's that easy to pop the hood. I think a better idea is a hidden switch. Maybe a master power switch that would prevent anyone from hot wiring it.

    Great ideas. Why not just remove the cable from the cap to the coil??

    • @MustangRestorationsInc
      @MustangRestorationsInc  2 года назад

      Good question.. On quite a few Mustang engines the coil wire can be somewhat difficult to separate or pull out from the cap or the coil ends.. This may lead into the wire coming apart at one end or the other.

    Take the Wheels with you...all you need is some Cement Blocks stored in the back seat.
    Or...a handful of Pet Rattle Snakes in the car...works every time.

      Hi Tony. In the Ford shop manual is the outline of how that system is put together. The manual is a treasure trove of information. Talk to David at Kentucky Mustang parts for that maul and many more things too.

    If you have a manual transmission you are fairly safe. From what I understand many of the car thieves these days don't know how to drive a manual.
