It is very complicated to apply the rules. It is a rip off. Im 73 and payed all my life. Also, my parents.
I'm embarrassed that some of my money has gone towards paying Jimmy S, Rolf H, Gary G, Huw E, + more. At least my conscience is now free of guilt because i cancelled my tv licence yesterday.

I got rid of my TV 15 years ago I got a dvd portable player and have collected old DVDs , dad's army ect all sorts of DVD's really interesting no American crap ,TV is addictive,just get rid I'm ot dropping up the bias broadcasting rubbishes

Whats a T.V licence, I have never had one of them, then again I live in a more rougher area and a licence salesman wouldn't last long walking around knocking on doors in my area

btw, Stuart I have a question, maybe you know the answer. I cannot get a straight answer for this question. I have virgin media so I am able to watch Amazon prime Netflix RUclips on my tv. Some are saying because my tv is capable of receiving a bbc tv signal i have to pay for a tv licence. But I do not use my tv to watch bbc or record or watch live tv as I have e stated. When I read tvl literature about this it is so obviously misleading and confusing I don't know where I stand. I believe I do not need one that's why they are deliberately obfuscating these issues! Hi. Let me say that most so called journalists don't understand the Communication Act so they give poor information so let me help.
It's not your fault or responsibility that you TV is capable of far more than you use, so as SMART TVs are so complex, confusion arises.....your answer.....if you WATCH or RECORD any LIVE as Broadcast channels you need a licence.
If you only watch streaming services & NETFLIX, you DO NOT need a licence.

@@StuartLomas hi Stuart, just watched your video ( a streaming service buyer beware) and in it you stated that because sky streaming has live tv you need a tv licence, you said it in your own video, this was the point I made just a little while ago. My virgin media has the capability to watch live tv I don't as I said I have virgin media to watch Amazon prime, Netflix, RUclips. Confused again now Stuart. 🫢
@jfdomega7938 The point of that video was that in my opinion, SKY'S products name, SKY STREAM is misleading as it suggests its a 'Streaming' service & yet a user can access Live TV which you can't access on true Streaming Services such as NETFLIX, Disney+, Amazon Prime, Paramount + & so on therefore, as one can access Live TV on Sky Stream, one will need a licence whereas an actual Streaming Service like those named above, you don't need a licence....no need for any confusion.
Are you watching live stream programmes, if not, no licence needed.

Hello Rachel. Sadly there is not a reduced rate for disabled people & where you live has no effect either. If you let me know what you like to

your wrong on the live broadcast , the licence fee IS SOLEY for the bbc, what i watch on my screen is my buisness so you are wrong on the live broadcast thing.
@@amaglite ok, may I suggest you read The Communications Act or if that is too much to expect, check out The Black Belt Barrister Channel (yes he's a barrister) regarding the TV Licence, maybe you will believe him.

@StuartLomas I believe the point he is making is.... no matter what an act says. Hell do what he likes.. and as long as he's not causing anyone harm our loss I'm with him. The treasonous c#### in parliament are supposed to be public servants.
