One day when Bill Gaither stands before our Lord God. "Well done, my good and faithful servant. You took my gift and opened the hearts of people around the world with it."
Bill and Gloria Gaither have had an anointing of the Holy Spirit on their music for the past 50 years and their songs continue to encourage and bless us today.
My daughter said to me today that when you listen to the Gaithers music, it takes you to heaven. And I couldn't agree with her more. Both the band and the group and to Bill & Gloria, you are truly amazing. God lives in your music! Thank you for being worthy vessels.
Never saw a more humble lady than Mrs Gloria. She would be considered in the general publics eye as living a life of luxury but that life is so far from who she is. You can just tell her heart for God and passion for hearts and souls to minister to us.
This is what sets the Dove Awards apart from all other award shows: The winners and participants on stage are not receiving praise and glory but giving it ALL to God!! Praise God!!!
@@bamakeyman While David is a talented singer, and very good, I think often you Christians kind of deify the man. Certainly, that is simply not true. But hey, you have your opinion, so that's also fine!
Raymond Quinton I do agree with Bama though, not the greatest but one of the greatest ever. He can sing a lot of different genres along with his insane range.
You can see the difference! I don't have a Problem with all other singers but this Man and his band stil playing the real Song what came from Heaven. I feel the Power of God's Words in this Song. Be blessed!
We can say like in my case all the lineup does it but just wanted to hear the voice of David Phelps, that first sharp tenor especially in the song, HE TOUCHED ME. Beautiful!
I don't, no need to miss it since there are many, MANY recordings of their work. People grow and change---what would life be like if everything stayed the same???
All very gifted vocalists, David Phelps has mind blowing ability. Truly inspiring and what we all need to listen to in these times of struggle as humans.
Happy for GVB, very much so, but I'm even happier my PHavorite PHave got a spotlight....Mr. David Phelps!!! Were you asking yourself "Whose voice is that that I can hear over everyone else's?" That would be David's because he has a very special gift straight from Heaven and there ain't no hiding that light under a bushel---or in a group of voices!!! Thank You, GOD!
Bill and Gloria Gaither are legends in their own lifetime! The GVB has and will always be my favorite, in all their variations. God bless all of you.⚘❤🙏
Glory to God. The harmony par excellence. The rendition God glorifying. David as always just put that final touch of ambience. I could feel God's presence in my room. Thank you Bill Gaither. Thank you to the uploader.
You can feel how much these songs mean to everyone in the audience. They are in awe of these songs, the Gaithers and of course, God. Good to see some GVB-oldies too, and David Phelps nailed it...again :-)
I did notice, though, that Michael English totally ignored the lovely Bill Gaither (who extended a hand to him) when he walked on stage and walked straight past in FRONT of him. Just saying, because I thought it would have been courteous to acknowledge him, even if briefly. My wait was rewarded when the wonderful voice and tone of the other-wordly talent of David Phelps walked on stage - what a gorgeous sound and blast of energy his voice made. WOW!
I just love how multiple generations are represented here. So often only the grandparents are in the audience but everyone is here and they are all worshiping! I grew up loving it all and I have attended a couple Southern Gospel concerts too, and I took it to heart that I was one of the only ones there, under 35. Probably under 50 even. I hope that when concerts are allowed to resume, that all people will join and come together and celebrate God’s faithfulness.
The Gaithers and the GVB are such legends in the industry for their humility, God-given talent and pure love they put into their worship. Seeing Bill tear up at the end made me well up too. May God bless them all
Bravo. The "Factory" of Christian groups and singers and even just turning around lives and ministry - the Gaithers. Amazing. And yes, you can tell with David Phelps is around LOL, awesome...
One of my all-time favorites. is Mr. Bill Gaither, a creative genius with his music, his arr arrrangements, ,as well as his huumongous faith, in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Always so good . Thank you . Lord deserve to be served and worshiped on a high quality level . You did it for so many years and support us - The big CHRISTIAN FAMILY - abroad . My deep appreciation . Nelly G . From Bulgaria
To the young people, particularly the young artists who have no idea who any of these people were or are, Bill is, and this is not sacrilegious, the most important figure in the development of Christian music as we know it today other than Jesus just like Paul was arguably the most important writer of the New Testament. Also, there were probably a lot of self-righteous people who cringed at the idea of Michael English being on the dove award stage, even though, to a generation, Mike is considered the greatest singer in the history of Christian music. This is a beautiful, beautiful moment, and I love the fact That at least until Bill goes, southern gospel is not dead.
Oh this is wonderful. These beautiful songs are always refreshing and uplifting. It's good to see the whole group coming up.God bless the Gaithers Vocal Band
They are all individually great singers but they do not meld well. I have thought that from the very start of the new group. Each guy is a really sweet person but their sound together just isn't unique like previous Gaither groups.
What happened to singers like Guy Pernod and Marshall Hall? These guys were apart of the G.V.B., before these younger singers come into being. Mark and Ruff Toss, Phelps sang with Guy. I noticed he was not mentioned.
Guy has a wonderful interview on RUclips. He is putting put his own gospel music. Homeschooling his 7 kids, and still does GVB when there is a reunion.

Because He Lives I Can face tomorrow, speaks to me and all who are Christians ,sang by the most wonderful people,I love them all❤
Bill and Gloria Gaither have had an anointing of the Holy Spirit on their music for the past 50 years and their songs continue to encourage and bless us today.
Thank you Gaithers. And, no matter how many times we hear these songs over and over... it will ALWAYS BE FRESH FOR A CHILD OF GOD.
My daughter said to me today that when you listen to the Gaithers music, it takes you to heaven. And I couldn't agree with her more. Both the band and the group and to Bill & Gloria, you are truly amazing. God lives in your music! Thank you for being worthy vessels.

Nothing against all those on stage, but when David Phelps hit his first note, the energy skyrocketed
Church came to the Dove Awards! What a anointed moment.
Especially today we need that mix of Ole Time Religion with our restored popularity of today glossy RUclips videos.
I grew up hearing these hymns by The Gaither’s with their flawless harmonies. Greatest gospel music ever!!
You can’t help but notice when David Phelps is in the house 😅
You can say that again! LOL
Amen to that.
Daniel Whitman Man, David has such a unique voice and he's so powerful..
A voice like David's is a gift to us from Heaven!!!
He has always been the voice best noticed. Band hasn't been the same since he left.
This is what sets the Dove Awards apart from all other award shows: The winners and participants on stage are not receiving praise and glory but giving it ALL to God!! Praise God!!!
When David Phelps joins it raises to a whole new level...
Cleanup hitter.
Phelps is one of the greatest male vocalists ever. In any genre.
David Phelps, Guy Penrod,Mark Lowry,Russ Taft. I love hearing them sing.

I miss the Mark Lowry, David Phelps, Guy Penrod line-up of GVB.
Best line up ever!!! Of course all of the lineups are great..... But there was something about that combination of Mark David guy and Bill
Everybody does!

I remember clearly the first time I heard David. Awesome! Yes, he and Guy really made the Gaither Band I fell in love with.
I don't, no need to miss it since there are many, MANY recordings of their work. People grow and change---what would life be like if everything stayed the same???
It doesn’t matter how many times I watch this, I get a blessing and my day goes better & brighter afterwards.
Goosebumps on my Goosebumps. AWEsome!!!
All very gifted vocalists, David Phelps has mind blowing ability. Truly inspiring and what we all need to listen to in these times of struggle as humans.
I've listened to David Phelps pretty much every single say since 1998, and I still get goose bumps, smile, and just shake my head every time.

You can feel the absence of Guy Penrod when they sing " Because he lives i can face tomorrow " Guy and David are the best duet ever.
Mike, did it much more often than Guy ever did that song. So not really a giant absence.
Literally cried listening to this song because of what Christ has done in my life

Love all these powerful hymns and thank god that they share them with us. God Bless all of the singers.
I have been listening to this music from about mid 1980's. Still great music even without the ones who are no longer with us. R.I.P TO THE GREAT.
That's about as powerful a legacy as one might ever hope for in a lifetime. The word Gaither will be known for generations to come. Just awesome.
Fact
Beautiful harmony, love them so much...God bless you all!!!!
Oh what a wonderful day to wake up to this. Praise the Lord. Merry Christmas 🎅 2020
All cool. But it seems something is missing when there is no Guy Penrod standing with his long white hair

Glory to God. I love every one of those people.

I love this video but what gives me goosebumps is this line "Shackled by the heavy burden" - the acoustics and all in that is just music to my ears.
My favorite moment is watching Hillsong sing along at 5:14. My favorite groups, Hillsong and GVB
I got chills all over when David joined them.
How beautiful to hear and see them all together. Wish they all could have sung more together in this video. 🕊
That was amazing it was awesome because he lives Mark did a amazing job well done !
I think Todd Suttles has the base part on that "heavy burden" and he nailed it, so much so that Bill gave him a pat on the shoulder there.
Bendiciones saludos desde peru

David Phelps, Dios te bendiga!
Amazing just Amazing GLORY TO OUR HEAVENLY FATHER JEHOVAH.. IF IT SOUNDS BEAUTIFUL HERE ON EARTH IMAGINE WHAT IS LIKE IN HEAVEN

This was amazing! These voices all together again.....made me cry for joy. The only one missing was Russ.
Another one I can’t get enough of.
These men do not Blend as well as the original vocal band or Signature Sound! Love the song! David Phelps is sorely missing!
