I commend you for using the leashes for the girls. I had one that connected my wrist to my daughter's wrist about 27/28 yrs. ago. People thought I was being so cruel, but I had 4 other children to also keep track of. It was a blessing to have one to use.

When my children were little we were still living in Scotland.A harness on the children were very common at the toddler stage.Kept them safe and they couldn’t run off . They were a lifesaver.

I love that no one is criticizing you for wearing the straps. I refuse to call them leashes. My girls were 12 months apart and they always wore them in crowds. People would point and call me horrible but at least I knew where they were. Good job, Alicia.
I had a leash for my son 56 years ago. He would not stand still. He never would listen. And it was the only way I could hang on to him. People really criticized me but I didn't care. I wanted him to be safe. I applaud that they now come with butterfly wings. They're beautiful. They have a little bit of freedom and they don't have to stretch their arm to hold on to a adult hand. They look so beautiful. They really showed the princesses that they are. I have never heard of ham turkey legs, but i want one!!. Delicious, and love the way the girls tackled them. You are giving them the opportunity of so many experiences. Good for you, and I'll bet they really, really love the ponies.😂😂❤❤
I'm a great believer in the harness thing because even at 18 months they can dart when you are looking the other way! You are such great parents. I enjoyed seeing these little pixies, fairies with little wings! ❤❤

Our family went to the fair every year. My 6year old daughter and I dressed in period costumes.... she got scooped up into one of the acts. She was so scared. But she did not leave my side after that 😂.

Oh Alicia, I am SO glad to see you have them on a leash! In a couple of years you will be so thankful for that. When my youngest was about 3 I went to the kind that velcros around the wrist but I usually velcroed it around the back of her Osh Koshs so her hands were free like your's is. My youngest did not walk anywhere! When we were around traffic or crowds (Disneyland, Knotts's etc) a leash was an absolute safety factor. She was over 5 when she stopped running out of grocery stores right into the parking lot at top speed. And don't let other people dissuade you one bit. I got tsked at, eye rolled and comments galore but our first job is to keep our children safe and if it takes a leash, only the parents know what works with your own kids! It looked so fun and the girls always so cute. Love Dad's tartan! Enjoy!
So about the leash thing. I am about to give all of the moms and dads heart failure with this story. My mom had a cute little pink harness for me when I was not much older than the girls are now. It went over my shoulders and buckled in the front. Until…. Apparently, I figured out how to unbuckle myself, and I left the harness on a shelf with sweaters and took off. My mom tugged and felt some weight and assumed it was me. After that still had the cute little pink harness, but it was buckled in the back. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 It only takes seconds for child to wander away. Anything a parent can do to keep their child safe they need to do.
Thank you! And I made sure to keep my eye on them even though they don't quite know how to unbuckle them yet😅 But you're right, these are for safety! They run in opposite directions sometimes and then what do I do?! These keep them close and still give them feedom😊♥️♥️

Children can take off so quick when in a crowd, so the Leashes are fantastic for keeping them safe. Looks like you all had a great time 😊

My youngest did not walk anywhere! When we were around traffic or crowds (Disneyland, Knotts's etc) a leash was an absolute safety factor. She was over 5 when she stopped running out of grocery stores right into the parking lot at top speed. And don't let other people dissuade you one bit. I got tsked at, eye rolled and comments galore but our first job is to keep our children safe and if it takes a leash, only the parents know what works with your own kids! It looked so fun and the girls always so cute. Love Dad's tartan! Enjoy!
We have the velcro wrist things too, but they really like their hands to be free😊 We had so much fun💖💖
So about the leash thing. I am about to give all of the moms and dads heart failure with this story. My mom had a cute little pink harness for me when I was not much older than the girls are now. It went over my shoulders and buckled in the front. Until…. Apparently, I figured out how to unbuckle myself, and I left the harness on a shelf with sweaters and took off. My mom tugged and felt some weight and assumed it was me. After that still had the cute little pink harness, but it was buckled in the back. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
It only takes seconds for child to wander away. Anything a parent can do to keep their child safe they need to do.
Thank you! And I made sure to keep my eye on them even though they don't quite know how to unbuckle them yet😅 But you're right, these are for safety! They run in opposite directions sometimes and then what do I do?! These keep them close and still give them feedom😊♥️♥️

OMG Alicia, how wonderful to see the Leashes....such a great idea for this day and age. When I was little, Mum used them for my Brother and I but I have never seen the use of them since. Children can take off so quick when in a crowd, so the Leashes are fantastic for keeping them safe. Looks like you all had a great time 😊
We did have so much fun! I think a lot of people are afraid of the backlash they may get from using the harnesses or leashes, but in crowds they are great tools to keep children safe!💖💖

I used a leash with my son over 25 years ago when we’d go to the zoo… it was a lifesaver because he was so fast and wanted to see absolutely everything 😊 Don’t be concerned about any questionable comments.
