Love the driveshafts, all the metal... i feel like if you combined the best parts of this and a Smasher, you'd have one hell of a vehicle! As it stands though, I'd rather have the Smasher. Especially cause its on sale right now for $100

I feel for them , it can’t be easy competing with big companies and still charge enough for profit I buy a red cat to support them but most releases I have or had the versions of . This is probably nicer than the FMS. But FMS cool because 2sp tranny . We can get them on sale for 120 bucks . Funny is the mini MT and 24 seems to die down , I bet Redcat was working on this because of the mini craze . I guess that’s the hobby though, stuff gets hot than cools down and usually comes back sooner or later. I think 2025 going be Rally cars , the big companies hands are forced to if they weren’t already in the making .
I wish it came with a 380 brushed motor. Ima keep investing into my mini lmt and getting another 1 for the wife. I guess you get what you pay for. But majorly under powered. With a couple hundred bucks of mods itd be sick, but then you can just start with a mini lmt?
This is my local skate park in New Milford too, Maybe I’ll run into you there sometime and we can get a bash in 👍🏼. I also take my cars there, it’s the only skate park around to my knowledge. Nice vid man
The truck looks good. I wanted to mention that I watched another video of this truck. His was a lot faster. Obviously, I don't know if you had a ba battery or motor, but there was a definite difference.
The top speed stock out of the box is in fact 6mph. Exocaged got 6 and RC Review got 6. However he did show it will go faster with an aftermarket 3S pack. Perhaps thats what you saw.
Hi Greg. Let me explain why the truck is so slow. It’s for kids. It’s light. It’s small. They can carry it. They can’t hurt themselves. They don’t want speed. They want run time and durability. Being slow means it won’t break. Will get this for my 4 year old if it comes to Australia (it won’t) 🍻

It's a really neat truck, but as you alluded to at the end, it looks like it would get boring fairly quick. I dont know what you would really do with it as its too slow to bash, but the tires look way too big to crawl (I could be wrong about this part)

Yeah, but 6mph x 24 (it's 1:24, folks) = 144 scale mph. I don't know of any 1:1 monster trucks that hit 144... (yeah, it needs to be faster, but sometimes we expect a bit much from our cheap toys.) I do think that, on a scale freestyle course, it'd be just fine. Unfortunately, approximately none of us have a 1:24 course ready for the new Redcat. I definitely like how bold Redcat is with new product.
Wrong. Rc cars need to be fast no matter what size they are. 40 is fast. Less than 10 is not fast. Slow is always slow for adults. A 1/5 Baja is not faster than a 1/8 buggy but people still buy them. So your scale speed comparison is useless. Even a kid doesn’t fall for that rubbish
Seems a little expensive and pretty slow out of the box but looks way better then the traxxas considering its an actual mt chassis instead of a glorified crawler. I see some real potential with a gearing change or motor/esc chance and a few upgrades
@@RCPoor a cheap kids toy wouldn’t have ball bearings, proportional steering, or oil shocks. Its definitely slower than it should be but it actually looks pretty good quality wise
This could be a winner if it came out of the box at 12-14mph. Flat-tread tires look a little weird, but probably offer more cornering stability. Has potential, at least the drivetrain looks beefy and it comes with a decent servo.
I’m still skeptical because of all the issues they’ve had in the past. It’s going to take more to prove to me that they’ve worked out their Engineering & Quality Control issues
Ever since the ascent crawlers they have made some actually really good cars especially their crawlers. They also really redeemed themselves with the low riders

K10* c10 is 2wd. I'm done with Redcat. I own two soon to be zero. The kaiju isn't too bad, but the wendigo is almost impossible to drive and keep straight. This truck looks less than impressive as well.

All metal drivetrain but plastic gears in the Trans? And some cheap ass motor. The arrma groms are way faster and cheaper. I wouldn't mind paying a little more if there was more quality and speed

Should have gone with a 370 or more powerful motor. The 180 is absolutely anemic for a monster truck. It isn't a good basher and it isn't a good crawler. Drop a $40 GoupRC 2204 brushless out runner/esc combo and it would be a little beast though. It has potential, but that 180 motor just ruins it.

You can throw a 3s lipo in it, just like the Ascent18. The stock ESC will run it, even though it isn't "officially" supported.

Well, that is clearly a 24 scale and comparable to the FMS smasher. The best use for this is monster truckin in the living room when winter hits lol.

What do you use to film your RC cars? I’m trying to figure out what to use that works good. Also, those tires are really big. It looks like a fun rig.

The ascent 18 is almost entirely upgradable in less than a year. Itll be interesting if Redcat, Injora, Treal, etc do the same for this.

They are taxing because it’s a licensed product ( edelbrock ) anything with a name brand stamp is always going to be taxed
