my boyfriends at bootcamp right now becoming a marine. he gave me a promise ring before he left. how is it to have your husband deployed? it's hard for me now but I can't even imagine what it's like.
I know and feel what this is because my husband spent a year in deployment and that hurt a lot, I just have to wait for time to fly

I'm not crying. My eyes are just over hydrated.
Spent last year waiting for my at the time boyfriend to come home from Afghanistan. Wasn't expecting to come across this tonight but it definitely brings me right back to how I felt, every day he was gone, other songs come close but the emotion and pain is so perfectly captured. The memory gets you through but the reality of them being absent in everything is still there. Anyways, he's my husband now and I'm so happy he's home :)

He's been in the Army for almost four years and I knew that being with him was going to have its ups and downs. Out of the two and a half years that we've been together we've spent a total of 13 months with one another, the rest of the time he has been gone on military assignments. He loves what he does and I support what he does, but it's hard loving anyone in the military (both men and women). Thank you Us the Duo for such an incredible song.

I can't even start to describe how touching & true this is to my story. My marine left today again for more training and I've been playing it off like I'm fine.. But not even being able to talk to him for a month again is lonely. Your song that I found today brought me back to how much he means to me even if he's gone for 8 months.. I never thought I'd be in this position to be lonely and not have the one I love physically & mentally here with me until I fell in love with him. No matter how long he'll be gone, the moment he gets back I know it was all worth the pain, loneliness, and crying because he makes me the happiest women in the world, & I wouldn't have it any other way. I could never be more proud and happy for him. Thank you for caring about the men and women that serve our country. 💗

This makes me cry. My dad was in the army for 20+ years and he had to retire about 2 years ago because of severe PTSD and back and neck injuries.

Made me cry too. My dad was in the Marines. He recently retired. He also has mild PTSD and has small hear loss. He has back injuries aswell. Many thanks to your fathers service :)

this made me cry the first time i watched it i sobbed. Its a different kind of heartbreak. Not the kind you see in movies or the kind you experience when you're no longer with some one. This is a heartbreak not many would understand. I on the other hand do. Its been almost a month since i haven't see my boyfriend. Seeing this video makes me look back at the memories me and him had. Its SO SO SO hard to watch the one you love leave for days,weeks,months and years. Much respect to people in the military but the same respect goes to the girlfriend/boyfriend, fiancé, husband/wife, and family for sticking around.

This video sends me into a reality. My husband is in the US Army, and his whole team is in GRF. At any moment he could get a call, and within three hours, we will say our goodbyes and say "See you in 9 months or more! Be safe, my love!" Being an Army spouse is a difficult task.
This song is very inspirational, and has touched my heart! I am so thankful to have found a song that I can listen to on days that are the hardest to get through. My husband is my best friend, and when he leaves; a part of me will as well. He is my heart, and I am so thankful to have a best friend such as he. He's my hero!

He is currently in Afghanistan on his 3rd tour and is FINALLY!!!!!! home on October 18th.This song is exactly what we go through. We listen to it all the time and we are going to play it at our wedding :) Wish they could preform it. I would fan girl so hard.
Now this hits differently.
Every time I listen and watch this amazing video...I finish with tears. My man is in a position similar to Carissa's role and I usually go through Michael's role every time he gets deployed. It's an awful feeling; but it feels awesome when he gets back home. "Us The Duo, thanks for your outstanding music, lyrics, songs and videos...for years your melodies been touching my heart". ♡♡♡

When he was shown holding the bags I was really disappointed, until he handed them over to her and I started screaming because I felt so contented at that moment.

This was so amazing to watch. I'm joining the Navy and from the looks of it going to bootcamp in June of 2015. Watching this made me realize that it will be hard to leave your loved ones, but the feeling of seeing them again just makes the love grow stronger. Love this couple, Mike and Carissa are the cutest!

My husband has been in the air force for 14 years, in that time he has been deployed 7 times, no less then 6 months, no more then a year. My three children feel it the most, but this song struck a cord in my heart and I cry every time I listen to it....and I listen to it ALOT ha ha. sucker for punishment I guess. no one will understand a military spouse's pain and heartache.

I stumbled on this song and never thought it was a military video, i listened to it on spotify and loved it and thought about my fiance who is 14hrs ahead of me in time difference in the navy, when i saw the video on here i could not hold back the tears through out the whole video.
