I'm Kim...Can Borax during the heating process, cause gas bubbles in the corundum fractures it's healing?

I m cutting on a grinder using a 220 grit wheel .I am cutting a 50 carret stone . It cut in a cab .I used a 400 , grit to a 600 grit . To 1200 grit what would you recommend. To use next.
