  • On June 24, 1973, Art Young interviewed Senator Ralph Yarborogh. Sen. Yarborough, the "patron saint of Texas liberals" was at the time of the interview a member of the Texas Constitional Review Commission and the bulk of the interview is spent discussing the proceedures and results of the commission's work. This includes discussion of how the environment, education, and taxes are covered in the proposed constitutional changes and amendmemts. Also discussed are Watergate and the effort to turn the Big Thicket into a National Park.
    Art Young was a mid-1970s era morning radio show host on KRMH (103.7 FM), broadcasting from San Marcos, Texas to the Austin, Texas radio market in the 6 am - 9 am time slot. The Art Young Recordings Collection consists of almost 200 recordings of interviews he conducted with local, state and nationally known politicians, activists, artists, musicians, actors, writers, educators and business owners.

    Ford didn’t become VP fall of ‘73. So couldn’t have been June ‘73. Poll he refers to was released in June ‘74, although he later says 1973 in another context.
