Thank you for your comments. Sorry I am so late getting here. I continue to add to my channel. Most of my videos have few views. It is good to hear from someone once in awhile. Best wishes.
Hi George, thanks for the presentation. just wondering if you have a reference for the 8 stages of ORT or is this your interpretation? I'm currently trying to draw parallels to other therapies and found this to be quite useful!
Texts for course were: 1. Walsh, J. (2013). Theories for direct social work practice (3rd edition). Stamford, CT: Cengage Learning. 2. Payne, M. (2014). Modern social work theory (4th edition). Chicago, IL: Lyceum Books, Inc. Note says the Object Relations material came from: Walsh, Chapter 4 Payne Chapter 4 (Shemmings & Shemmings, pp. 120 to 126). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I will also look further to see if I can find an exact location via Google search. Thus far I spent 20 minutes this morning looking and did not find a direct hit. Thank you for your interest. www.ivcc.edu/uploadedFiles/_faculty/_mangold/Klein%20and%20others%20-%20Object%20Relations%20Theory%20Outline%20Notes.pdf Also: Hutchinson, E. D. (2003). Dimensions of human behavior: Person and environment (2nd ed..). Thousand Oaks, CA: Sage Robbins, S,, Chatterjee P., & Canda, E. (Eds.). (2005). Contemporary human behavior theory: A critical perspective for social work (2nd ed.). Boston: Allyn and Bacon. It has been a few years since I developed the course and my memory is not clear. The latter two were derived from a search.
I hope you didn't. You are one of my saviors in helping me understand the material. You actually help it all make sense! If you can find it, that would be great. If not, your video did help with some directions to go in with review things on my own. This Object Relations Video is great also! :)
Hi George, Did you remove the video that was from the previous week (2) on Psychodynamic theory? Your videos are incredibly helpful to me and I appreciate your work in putting them up here. Thank you so much!
I believe the psychodynamic theory still here. I will look. Thank you for your input. I have not done new ones in this series since retiring since I thought fewer people were viewing them. If there are some additional ones you would like to see I would be interested in producing more.
Wow! Thank you so much for answering, and so quickly! I am glad that these are up, I am just finishing up my MSW and this has been more helpful than my classes! I love your style and content! I will look again for the psychodynamic one. I will let you know about other ones! Thanks again! :) Mary Ellen
Hi George, I have looked over and over and can't find the week 2 psychodynamic theory video. I do really like your style and the way you communicate the material in a very easy to understand manner, but with an insight and depth that adds much more to it.
There is something here about Sullivan you did not like. Would you be willing to share with me how I could have better presented the information. Thank you.
Projective identification -the ability for the therapist to get a small taste of what the patient is going through. (Thomas Ogden definition)
This explains all my marriage fears and relationship avoidance issues
Great work. You are doing a great job explaining these theories. Tough job.

because it's Harry not henry like in your presentation
Thank you. I have always had trouble with names. I will be more mindful in the future and get the names correct.

About names, Harry or Henry, or Herbert "Harry" Stack Sullivan for me it is same, everybody know that.
