The first month of their lives they need to be in a smaller cage so they don’t get lost in the bedding, I found this out from a friend who also had babies she had left them in the larger cage because that’s what everyone told her to do, but one of the babies got separated from the others and by the time they found it, it had died so she put them a smaller cage but two stories high so Mom could wander off but the babies were not able to climb up yet once they were older she placed them back into the larger cage as they were no-longer in danger of wondering off and getting seperate and risking death. Remember a large cage is great for fully grown hamster but not for babies who are only a week old and starting to move around a little lesson my friend learned and a painful one and not something I would wish on anyone who have baby hamsters.
MariahWhitneyCelineJanetMadonna why is it odd her cage for her hamster was huge it had two levels for a hamster that was just bigger than a golf ball 😹😹😹 she could have kept 3 fully grown hamsters in her cage and they would only bump into each other once in a blue moon she spoiled her hamster with lots of space which was great but it was just too big and Mummy hamster was on the upper level when the baby got turned around and gotten lost in the bedding that lined the cage but it was not warm enough for it to survive being separated from the others so keeping them contained to a smaller cage with Mom she’s closer on hand when it happens again.

But then I had panda the only last one who was my friend..ALL BECAUSE OF MY SISTER !she made my only friends what I didn't have for years Ive never had a friend but pancakes left me my first hamster and then the day when panda was there I had one only friend... I wish my hamsters have baby's😶😭

When are you able to rehome them?my hamster that I got from pets at home who was apparently a boy is now a girl and has had babies they were born 11th November didn’t even know she was pregnant until I checked on her to clean her cage and she gave birth..
