- In August 1992 I travelled over early in the morning from my hotel in Jenbach to spend the day travelling on the 53km long 760mm gauge line to Krimml. I had opted to catch the once a week timetabled steam service.
Thank you for this wonderful video. I live there in this region and it is really cool to see how the trains and technology have changed over 32 years, but the turquoise roofing of the station Zell am See is still the same.
This is spooky.. I found you from your chart Leacon open day vids which i attended too when i was 14 ... now this ... I was at this very station myself in 90, 91 & 92 !!! Small world or what ?? 😯
Wonderful video. All those freight trains, why aren‘t they in service today? It wouldn‘t just be super cool to look at, but it would also produce less carbon dioxide.
They got rid of all the goods infrastructure just a few months ago. Now it is passenger only, probably for a long time to come.
