  • A surprising result obtained from kindling and epoxy resin.
It is on the wood lathe that the original effect of this bowl is revealed. A meticulous finish obtained with fine sanding and carnauba wax will be necessary to give luster and protection to the work of art. This project is accessible to beginners provided they know how to use woodworking machines.
It is in my carpentry workshop that I film my work in a calm and relaxing atmosphere of the asmr type in order to share my ideas with you.
    Good viewing !!

I really like the "mold" you use when pouring the resin. Its good that you can reuse it and not waste money on cutting up buckets. And as usual, beautiful work. I think a bolder color would be equally impressive, such as maybe a maroon, pearly blue. Of course those are my favorite colors. lol. Very nice.

The piece definitely gave me a 3D effect with the kindling. The purple epoxy was well chosen as it showed the contrast with the white wood, which at times looked like sea shell fragments. I found this art work very interesting as there was a lot to look at. Morgan, you keep surprising us my friend, which is fantastic, thank you and keep safe and well.👍

      Hi The Pagan
Thank you for your comment 😉👍
I see that you are a very good observer 👍 indeed the 3 D effect and obtained because the wood I used is hazelnut and it drinks the resin on the surface without going any further and that is what gives this interesting effect

I have a resin idea for you! Have you seen AVSwood’s Epoxy Lava Table video from a couple years ago ( ruclips.net/video/O-155DJz6mk/видео.html ) ? He uses a really cool technique around 5:37 where he’s poured a color resin for a river table, then uses an air gun to agitate it while it’s partially set, then covers it with clear resin. I think it turned out looking really cool, and wonder if you’d do something like this in the future?
