TLDR;
As before:
Take 15 minutes to do these tasks.
1: Build 25 farm tiles
2: Build 2 manual power generators and 2 batteries in your research room
3: Build a water sieve next to the toilets
4: Connect research buildings to manual power generators
5: Deconstruct coal power generators
The full story:
Please stop killing your duplicants. No duplicant needed to die today. It's making me sad to see the duplicants still starving to death when all they need is 25 farm tiles and farm tiles are just so easy to build. The deaths at this point just feel needless.
You can be digging to the top of the map in 15 minutes if you spend the first 15 minutes of the next episode finishing this list. Why don't you have this list on your phone and challenge yourself to finish the tasks in 15 minutes? If you ignore everything and focus on just these tasks, you will get the tasks done in 15 minutes and be on your way to the surface.
Firstly go and fix each of your duplicant priorities: Priorites are broken, broken broken so here are some rules. I highly highly highly suggest you use these rules. HIGHLY!
Priority rule 1: Only use standard and high priorites. high is the single up arrow.
Priority rule 2: Only give ONE and only ONE task a high priority per duplicant.
Priority rule 3: Two duplicants should have the digging and building priority set to high.
I could write university thesis on why you should follow these priorities so please just follow these rules for priorities. It's really really really important.
Task 1: (2 minutes) You still need 25 farm tiles. Remove the graves and expand your mealwood farm to have 25 farm tiles.
Task 2: (3 minutes) Expand your research room and build 2 manual power generators and 2 batteries in an oxygen filled area. Do not connect buildings to this power network. Some buildings require a duplicant to run 24 hours every cycle.
Task 3: (5 minutes) Build a water sieve next to the toilets. Pipe the dirty toilet water into the water sieve. Pipe the clean water from the sieve into the toilets. Pipe the excess water from the toilets into your clean water pacu tank. Connect the water sieve to the manual power generators.
Task 4: (3 minutes) Deconstruct the power wires connected to the research buildings. Build a new power wire to connect the research buildings to the manual power generators. IMPORTANT: ONLY the research buildings and water sieve should be connected tot he manual power generators. CHECK THE OLD WIRES are not connected to the manual power generators.
Task 5: (2 minutes) Deconstruct coal generators. Here is the long explanation of why you should do it though:
Firstly the duplcants died in this episode needlessly. They were digging for coal instead of tending to their crops. If your sduplicants keep dying you will never get duplicants with the digging skills that let them explore the map. If you aren't exploring the map, you're running out of resources. If you don't have new resources eventually the hatches have no food, the mealwood runs out of dirt and your base completely dies because you can't feed any more duplicants.
Next, the coal generators spew out CO2. Duplicate stress levels increase from breathing CO2. Their stress also increases from popped ear drums caused from the generators increasing the air pressure. When your duplicates are stressed out they begin eating, crying, damaging buildings, etc. When the duplicates cry or vomit they make the floor wet. Duplicates stress out even more when walking on the wet floor. When duplicates are continually being stressed, they aren't working. When they don't work then they aren't cooking food. When there is no food they starve to death.
Let's look at heat now. The coal generators are creating heat and heat can not be deleted until later in the game. If your generators keep running, the oxygen keeps getting hotter causing stress. Eventually it starts killing your plants. When your plants are hot they stop growing food. Your base has now died. You have no way to feed your duplicates ever again.
The tips I share are genuinely there to help and there is a complex reason why I gave the tip in the first place. I recommend ignoring everything happening in your base and fix the 5 issues happening right now. Once this list is done then you can: Dig to the top, ranch your hatches, cool your base, remove CO2, purify the air and build a coal powered system. But you gotta get the basics fixed first and ignoring these issues will prevent you from getting to the top.
