Yh it's rly not that hard at all. It's actually very easy. I'm not a gymnast but I can hold that for 2 mins.

LOL I don't get why this is being hated... He's not a trained gymnast so it isn't something that comes easily to him or something he actually trains for. Plus a lot of the audience were impressed because they probably could not do that. People need to get off their high horse...

Lol most guys on the comment section thinks it's the "trick" that kills the ladies, no bro, it's the whole package that he has: the given looks, accent, humor, and most importantly his being down-to-earth kinda guy. It just so happens that that "trick" is just another one to add to his list of his thing. And since so many of you say you can do better than what he did, why don't you just focus more on fixing the attitude? Insecurity and jealousy are not attractive.

What he did has nothing to do with gymnastics. It is not something any gymnast would do.

I loved it when he did it in the movie, and STILL love it today. As a fitness person myself, that is NOT an easy thing to do. Your core has to be EXTREME strong, as well as your upper body strength to do this. Love it.
Not to be that girl but I am that Jamaican girl that have zero tolerance for people that look for PERFECTION, GREATNESS AND EXCELLENCE out of others and critic them harshly when they dont measure up to some dumb subliminal standard... Jamie did not say he was a gymnast, a work out fanatic, nor does he has a strict diet..he dabbles here and there with his workouts.. What he did was VERY IMPRESSIVE!! keep in mind he had shoulder surgery a few years back..non of us is perfect NAT, NAN, NONE of us is purfecttttttt. so why the heck we always expecting perfection out of people. Im happy for those on here that says they can do what he did with ease and longer etc etc..some yall say everyone can do this 'PART TRICK' welp i cant..he did great and im quite sure that scene is going to look epic in the movie
Arlene Sutherland Well said, Arlene. All the hate and ridicule is absolutely ridiculous. Not that it matters, but Conan is the one who asked him to do the 'trick' - Jamie didn't offer, only obliged. I'm sure he would have preferred not to have done it, he even said, 'This is such a bad idea.' And you are correct. He doesn't proclaim to be an expert gymnast or super athlete. As you pointed out, he admits he rarely works out - so to me, I think it's pretty impressive for anyone who has that kind of upper body strength to wing that off the edge of a desk. But you know, everyone's a critic and has to chime in because something doesn't measure up to their personal standard of perfection. The one thing I do agree with is the constant screaming over every little comment or move he makes. It makes the interviews difficult to hear and sometimes the host(s) have to stop or request the crowd to calm down so they can actually ask questions. It's time lost where questions could be asked or something shared, but screaming ensues.
Some men really don't understand women. Usually, if we like something we cheer or verbally express it. I get why the women audience are cheering so loudly. Those who are complaining about the cheering are just plain jealous of Jamie. Jamie is a friendly, humble & very talented actor. That's why he has garnered lots of fans & definitely they are also in that audience.

@@nourghazal296 agree, you only use your elbows. The first time I tried this I was probably 13 y.o., the hardest part is balance (but still relatively easy)

Jamie had this on his twitter page one time, he had done training for something he was doing! He did it on a railing were his head could go down as far as he wanted, much like he can on a pommel horse! He held it for like 2 and 1/2 minutes! His body was like at a angle, head straight with his body, like he was doing here, only here its harder to hold because the desk doesn't alway for his head to dip lower! So yes you have to have upper body strength and core muscles! I don't believe he's on social media anymore! But what he did is very hard! Wish had a pommel horse or that rail! Then he would held it much longer! Pretty impressive and Jamie is a really cool laid back guy!

I once went to a strip club and my favorite guy was the one dressed in normal sweatpants doing pushups and pullups and stuff like Jamie's move here. He didn't even need to get naked and we were all screaming like lunatics and throwing money at him. I think that says a lot about why we watch fifty shades and read the dumb books, it's not just sex, we like masculinity and strength. Heck, the gays at the club were beside themselves.

This is a slight variation of a turtle freeze. If you would like to learn this particular freeze, there are several tutorials on youtube. I would suggest wrist guards if you are a beginner though.
