She should’ve gotten 8 wrap dresses and told her bridesmaids to wrap them differently
Didnt think about that
That is what I was thinking of if I ever got married. I want the same length, material and color but different styles. I know not everyone looks good or comfortable in the same dress. With wraps they can style it how they like it
sounds better
Exactly what she needs an Infinity dress.
That's actually genius
I went to a wedding where everybody in the bridal party wore a dress that they picked out and bought. The only requirement is that it be navy blue and to the toes. And it totally looked good. Idk why they are so freaked out by this
Alyssa Orrick the thing is tho she had no direction everyone wearing different dresses is cute when there’s a Central concept
What you’re talking about though makes sense, if one person has orange and the other has green, it’s going to look stupid
@@autumncooley2830 All the dresses were going to be ordered in the same color.
@@michellegonzalez877 do you know her? I didn't hear same color
It least there was a well thought out look about your wedding and it did not look haphazard!😏
Her wedding dress 😳
Michelle Stella Poor thing looks like she was attacked in a toilet paper factory.
@@BruinPhD2009 😂😂😂
@@BruinPhD2009 thanks I couldn't find the words to express it :D :D
Its pretty except the skirt part. The top is nice
It's atrocious
Just Facebook stalked her lol, she did not end up wearing the wedding dress nor did the bridesmaids wear these dresses.
probably read all our comments :D

ShaurGaming those dresses are really cute
Trust me, no one is going to be distracted by the bridesmaids when the bride’s dress is a giant eyesore
Lmaooo damn XD
Brutal, but true 😂
Well they’re just trying on styles not colors. They’re all going to come in a grey version
It's hideous.
ick
You can literally buy better dresses just from a regular dress shop
Exaclty what I thought
sahar ehsani I think bridesmaids’ dresses are designed to keep them from competing with the bride, that’s why they’re normally so ugly.
@@BruinPhD2009 there is a difference between being stunning and just normal beautiful
No.....
You can find better dress in ANY shop
I got mine from etsy, they were made of Jersey knit fabric and looked amazing!
We did not see a single element of the vintage country chic theme mentioned by the bride. Not one.
exactly
The bridesmaids and the brides all wore different dresses at the actual wedding
Funky and ugly ones
Nope....she doesn’t have a clue what it means.
First of all “vintage country chic” sounds like a mess to begin with💀
I attended a wedding once where the bride gave them a color swatch n said "pick what looks best on ya, but in this color"..(it was a deep burgundy/wine color)..everyone looked GREAT!!! (N they ALL were HAPPY)
That's literally what I was planning for my wedding
I had a friend do the same. It was lovely. The bridesmaids ranged from size 2 to 18 and they all looked amazing in the best dress for each of their figures.
My BFF did the same and it was perfect! I ended up finding a dress for about 50.00 from ebay.
*I didn't want to spend a lot of money since I was very pregnant and would never wear the dress again.
It needs to be the same material though. I was a bridesmaid for my friend who did that and I got a satin dress and the other bridesmaids had chosen chiffon but I had only been told the color. She was then upset at me that it looked different.
It totally does work! You just have to put a tad bit more thought into it! I’ve seen lots of brides maids in different but same color dresses
The best option is to do what Africans do with wedding dresses. In nigerian culture its called aso ebi. You get the same fabric of clothing and then tell your bride maids to get it sewn into a dress that matches them and you may put requirements like it must be long, sleeveless, no boobs etc . Thus you get 8 different dresses with structure and connectivity. This is an example images.app.goo.gl/9mqrxR2t96zNuQjd9
Jesuferanmi Jebutu ahh, that’s a perfect idea as it can also match their body type and not make them look ridiculous
@@FeeOJLee that's great! Perfect way to guarantee that nobody feels uncomfortable.
Tea and Biscuits exactly. So big girls look good because the design was personally made by them and a seamstress. Skinny girls get the same thing. Tall and short covered. Big boobs and no boobs also. This way no one can complain if the dress doesn’t look good on them because THEY picked it. No guilt about the cost of their dress since they made the dress. No guilt about favoring one person over another when picking dresses. All your responsibility as the bride is, is to pick a pretty fabric.
LouKa exactly lol. This show gives me anxiety as a future bride but as a Nigerian it also sorta makes me sad for the bride and bridesmaids 😅
I did this. I picked the color, fabric, and the length and let them choose. There was a bit of length and shade variation but was super cute. They still wear their dresses
Yeah, it’s gonna be a loooong time till I get married, but that’s what I wanna do :)
Stephanie Johnson same here. That or wrap dresses so they can play with it to look the way they want.
Kala Bell May I ask what the color was
@@kimberlyarrington5721 Champaign and knee length
You, dear Kala Bell, are a thoughtful person; I love they are still wearing their dresses.
I hate how they're always so offended by the idea of mismatched dresses! I know this was from like 2011, but honestly, it's been a thing since then. Let people still be individuals, damn.
Yeah like it HAS to go their way of you shop there
Mismatched isn't bad as long as it flows
@@tanishkatrivedi7713 it was filmed in 2011
Exactly!!
As long as the dresses have something in common, besides color and length, mismatched dresses can look cohesive
Stacey: sO I hAvE tO fInD eIgHt DiFfErEnt DreSsEs?
Yes, love, you do. That’s your _job_
How much harder can it be to find 8 different dresses, than one dress that flatters 8 different women? They should have bent their efforts towards getting the bride to pick a single color & length, & then let all the bridesmaids choose styles. PS--Five is not much of an improvement on eight.
@@serendipityshopnyc it's her job but it makes it harder on her and there's a huge chance she could of ticked off the bride by mistake trying to make her happy it's better to have a focal point then let them wear whatever they want
@@Sassafrass95 I agree with you on the focal point, which is why I suggested they persuade the bride to pick a single color & length, and then let the bridesmaids all choose whatever styles amused them. Eight different knee-length dresses in royal blue would work fine and still be somewhat random.
Exactly
My sister just said find jewel tones to the wedding party and even with a pantsuit thrown into the mix, it looked fabulous because of how all the colors matched the venue and floral arrangements. 🤷🏻♀️ But we're all family so we just...get each other sometimes hahaha.
Her wedding dress is a MESS! 🤢 Too frilly and distracts from the bride herself!
Horrid, but I guess it makes her happy
Exactly!
Yeah my aunt had everyone choose different dresses...and the wedding WAS TERRIBLE!!
At least we know she is going to be I catching ,even if it’s not in a good way 😂😂
Be Free You’re so fucking rude, dude. I understand people have their opinions however, if the bride felt beautiful and special, that’s all that matters.
This was filmed in 2012, before mismatching dresses became popular. She was ahead of her time 😏🤗 cannot deal with her wedding dress however 🤢🤢
I had different dresses in 1975 lol
@@scottwoodcock3542 here's a cookie I guess... 🍪
Why yall so pressed over HER dress? It's not yall wearing it. Yall just wanna type atp
The owner and the saleswoman were shocked when they heard 8 different dresses because they dont have one beautiful dress, let alone 8 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂
They don't need beautiful dresses, obviously. Just ones they can sell to stupid bridal parties. :)
My parents were married in 1937. (Yes, that's right). My mom had 8 bridesmaids in what she called a 'rainbow wedding'. All the same style but 8 different light colours. I think she was way ahead of her time with her rainbow theme. She wore a cathedral train silk satin gown, had a page boy holding the very end of the train, and also had a ring bearer and a flower girl.
That sounds very beautiful! I love the idea of that. It sounds so wholesome!
I love that idea! I bet it was beautiful
this girl has NO style holy crap everything is just a hot mess
And she's got an attitude to match!
Agreed
She needs randy lol
I feel like wanting different dresses is fine. You should probably unify the colour, skirt and fabric, tho.
Oh god. What is wrong with you people? This bride was very nice and polite. She actually treated everyone like actual humans rather than props for her wedding. Not everyone gets obsessed with tiny insignificant details. You all should reflect on your attitudes and words.
I've been to weddings where the bridesmaids were given colors and told to buy whatever they liked, maybe with a few guidelines, like a specific length. It looks absolutely fine, and no one winds up buying a dress they don't like. Honestly I'd rather that everyone at my wedding feels comfortable and has a great time!
Yes! That's the kind of bride I want to be: So long as it's all the same color, fabric, and length, we're set. Let the bridesmaids pick what style top they're most comfortable in! Wrap dresses are also amazing for that. I was a bridesmaid in a wrap-dress wedding: everyone looked different, but uniform. It was so fun!
Honestly I’m in favor of mismatching dresses. No way would I ask my friends to plunk down several hundred dollars for a dress they don’t like. And I don’t like the idea of treating the maids like they’re part of the decorations. I just want them to all feel comfortable, beautiful, and loved. As long as they’re smiling genuinely in the photos, the photos will be beautiful.
Normal people do exist after all. Thank you.
I lied, this is not gonna be fun at all😂
Were people exclusively getting married to their highschool sweethearts 10years ago ?
Just the ones that can afford to be on thus show.

The sales associate hair is the real “disaster”.
LaVivaLEXX I thought this right away! 💯
Lmao
I was in a wedding once where we all had different dresses. We were told they had to be short and sunflower yellow and so we all bought dresses that were different but complemented each other and it looked really cute! They were also sundresses, so we were all able to wear them more than once, which was super nice
The consultant needs to stop being so judgmental and get a grip
I thought consultants were supposed to be supportive. I'm sorry but this chick isn't supportive at all.
Yes!!! She's snobby sounding too
The moment I saw her dress I wished the appointment was for her because she regrets it.
I let my bridesmaids pick out their own styles as long as they were all: Chiffon, Steel Blue, and long with no lace. It worked out great for me because I made sure it would all work together!
Honestly, I applaud the bride! I like her openness to making sure everyone feels comfortable. Dont know why they're making a big deal out of everyone getting their own dress. That's what I would do for mine
Her wed dress is a mess
Edit: Omg thanks so much for the likes guys 😊

Ok when I got married I gave my bridesmaids a link to a website, a colour and a length, and they all chose beautiful, different dresses that they loved and looked beautiful in- it's not that hard to have bridesmaids in different dresses 😡
Emily Duff what website did you use?
@@meredithdavis7803 David’s bridal is great for bridesmaids dresses because it’s all similar material and you can get the exact same shade for each dress 😊
Okay- so Just because a bride wants different dresses doesn't mean it would look bad! Just because a bride wants long sleeves, doesn't mean she is self conscious. Just because a bride has a small budget, doesn't mean they want a million dollar dress but can't afford it. It 👏 isn't 👏always 👏 bad.
No, it isn't always bad, but normal appointments with tasteful low-maintenance brides, easily-filled requests & reasonable attendants don't make for dramatic television. Also, a lot of drama on the screen makes the audience feel smug that they didn't/wouldn't ever do that to their friends & family!
Just...🙄
I've been to at least a half dozen weddings where bridesmaids were given parameters for their dresses and it looked awesome. Plus, many brides have friends all over the country and they can't fly to one destination multiple times, at the same time, to go bridesmaid dress shopping.
At my wedding, all of my bridesmaids wore diff dress but all in the same color and length. My photos turned out so pretty with all the different pattern dresses.
We all picked out our own dress for a friend's wedding and it worked out beautifully. Our only guide was the color. All of our colors matched perfect as well
yeah. I don't know why the consultants were so against it.
Different styles can work, legitimately do not know what they're talking about. Different colours can work as well as long as it's like a pastel colour.
You have to have the proper color pallette, I agree. Everything has to have something similar, or else it won't work
@@still_not_terry324 colour would depend on the theme but faded colours tend to match it more.
🤢🤢🤢🤮
Mhm my cousin did the different dress thing with her brides made. Granted they had similarities but it looked great
At my sister's wedding, her only instructors were "anything, as long as it's pastel" (it was a given that it was regular street/knee length). We all wore entire different outfits, but it worked fine (apparently, "pastel" doesn't really conflict).
My best friend had us choose our own dresses, she just gave us a color. She didn't even see our dresses til the wedding, everyone looked great. I think the fact that she settled on a particular color helped keep things coherent.
What an awful wedding dress!
Omg it is it looks like a fucking roll of TP!
It looks like something from Wish!
it looks like my grandma's tablecloth
You’re all so rude. It doesn’t matter if YOU think the dress is hideous - the bride clearly felt beautiful in her wedding dress and that’s all that matters. Fuck off.
@@lejlastark2515 You call us rude. And then swear at us. Oh the irony! but you do have a point though, she liked it so that's what matters. But she also has to remember that she agreed to be filmed , so must except comments for or against her choice.
The way she spoke to her mother was very out of order ...that wouldn't of worked for me ,if I was the mum
Exactly
Then they should've bought their own dresses wtf😂😂😂
I allowed my two bridesmaids to choose their own dresses and it worked out fine. The operative word being "TWO". I gave them a color palette and that's about it. They ended up choosing similar dresses (same color and fabric but different style).
She said “yes this is perfect, just what I wanted 😐”
i think as long as there's some common element between all the dresses (i.e. same fabric or length) and the colors of all dresses at least go together well, it can look nice and not distract from the bride
Just saw her wedding pictures, and none of them wore what was shown in the episode! Her real dress and bridesmaid dresses were beautiful ♥️
I feel like she has a dry personality and wedding dress is too much
Different dresses are nice when you have a required length, color, and sometimes even fabric
Literally bride wants a fruit salad
She could have made each woman pick one shade of an eight-shade rainbow.
Serendipity Shop true but then they might fight over a certain color that more than one wants 😂
Why are people so against different dresses? I LOVE when the dresses are different!
Britany Phillips I agree with Lori.I think that 8 different dresses could work but the material has to be the same. The designer also need to be the same to ensure that they are the exact same color
@@yalondahardaway5050 I'd go with the same design different color.
If you’re gonna have everyone pick out their dress then you better stop sitting there saying no. She just doesn’t want to be the bad guy.
The bridesmaid miming a 🔫 at 5:00 cracks me up
ngl i don’t think it’s an awful idea for the bridesmaids to have different styles of dresses as long as they’re all the same colour, fabric and a similar length. everyone’s body is different so i think it’s nice that they can all wear a dress they feel suits them & that they actually feel comfortable in
Even different length is fine. My friend had hers where the only perameters were color and not to the floor [it was outside so she didn't want anyone's dress to be ruined.]
I love when bridesmaids can get to chose there own dresses
My friends wedding I was a bridesmaid and we all had our own dresses.
We had the styles that matched our body types. All the same colour, but our own dresses.
Excellent idea. Every bridesmaid should feel comfortable and that is a good way to achieve that.
0:23 that dress is um....
*special*
The Dress that the Mother will wear, is sooooo gorgeous!!!! (even if i´m not sure about that Colour) I Love it!
I feel like the names of these videos are so harsh on some of the brides/maids

When wedding goes wrong and you have to wear walmart dress
I had nine bridesmaids. They all chose their own style. I gave them a specific color from a specific designer (Alfred Angelo). It was so pretty and not a big deal at all.
Brilliant!
Her wedding dress is brutal
This is the style now. Whatever style you want in the same colors. She was ahead of her time
"I just want it to look like everyone picked their own dress, showed up, and it just so happened to look good." Can you think of a formal event, like a prom, where you could grab 8 different girls at random and think, "now that makes a cohesive bridal party!" Because that's what you were literally asking for. Come on now...
Love when Lori says “hot mess” lol.
Those dresses looks so cheap gosh. You can get those dress on wish and only pay less than 50 on each I think lol
Sophinan true
N thy awful
Lori said that they didn’t want to distract from the bride. But with her mess of a wedding dress, I don’t think anyone could be distracted by the bridesmaids
I was in my cousin’s wedding. We all wore different dresses, but they were all long and navy. It honestly worked out because we had varying features and they all flowed well together
They all look very beautiful in those dresses I am pretty sure the bride will be even more beautiful in her dress as well take care
When my friend got married we were all in different shades of blue and the were different styles
i like the idea of mismatch dresses as long as theyre the same color, length, material and maybe the same designer. i think it looks better when the bridesmaids have individuality.
For my wedding my bridesmaids are in different dresses, that complement each other. They are also 3 different complementary shades of purple. All of the dresses together look amazing. All of their dresses are long with a slit. I can’t wait to get married. I should mention I have one maid of honor and 2 bridesmaids. I have one best man and 2 groomsmen, so the sides are even
Ok I personally only think this would work if they were the same color-
Yeah same colour different dresses it would be beautiful
Lori: we want *you* to be the focal point
Honey....I don't think anything can divert attention from that mess...I mean that dress....even if you tried
She might just need to cut down the number of bridesmaids...🤷♀️
My cousin did something similar for her wedding. She picked out like 10 dresses we could choice from and it looked GREAT and we honestly had little confusion or conflict
For my wedding I choose a fabric, color, and length and I let my bridesmaids pick the style. I think as long as those 3 things are the same it doesn't matter if one dress is halter and another is strapless.
Everything the black girl put on was really beautiful 😍😍😍.. It just blended in
When I get married I’m going to pick a color but they can pick the style
6:30 her friend wearing the toga style dress looks like she's one of the muses in Hercules!
I rather pick the same 👗 for my bridesmaids, not mix-matched
🎶🤟🏻🎄🤟🏿👍🏻🙏🏻👍🏿💟🌈🤪😙🙏🏿🥰😻🤣
“You just want everyone to show up in silver dresses and it all works out.....it don’t work like that” WTF Lori, it most certainly can lol
i work in a vintage shop..none if these designs are vintage. this one is kinda sad.
I’m sure it was very irritating to the bride that the consultants relentlessly kept trying to talk her out of what she wanted.
I think it’s nice for a bride to think about how her bridesmaids are feeling, but you need to have some structure otherwise it will look like a mess
I love the idea... maybe one colour? And totally one fabric all the way around!
Her wedding dress looks like the ruffles are made out of toilet paper...
Christy looks great in anything she wears.
Ew. Those colors do not all go together. I can see the greys and blacks together but that orange and pink clashed way too much. This is why I think it’s a great idea, that if you want “different dresses”, then it should have either the same style or the same color scheme. Same with fabric like Laurie was saying. You can have one girl in a long mustard taffeta and another be in a short plum chiffon. Does not work 😑
lizzardsthename my understanding is that they will all me grey in color just with all the different styles
I thought she would buy them all in grey?
They’ll all be in silver
Exactly! The same colour is important if they're all going to be different styles. But the same fabric is also important too
Okay when she said different dresses i didn't think she meant DIFFERENT different i thought she meant like same color similar silhouette or something like that not ACTUALLY different
I actually don’t get the idea of the bridesmaids wearing the same dress. We in the middle east don’t do that, the bride’s/groom’s family and friends all wear different yet special dresses. I think this way everyone can be happy
That bride is crazy thinking 8 different styles are going to work she don't even know what she wants I have no clue what goes on in these girls head😭
That is one of the ugliest wedding dresses I have ever seen.
She didn't wear it
Look her up on FB. She didn't wear that dress nor did her bridesmaids were those. Instead hers was a lace number that was truly vintage beautiful and she really went creative with her bridesmaids wearing different but similar colour pattern dresses. Her wedding photos are lovely!
As soon as the bride realized the attention was off her by what Laurie said, her whole bad attitude changed. Snippy, spoiled you know what
i love lori's honesty..like with her she gives me a "its not about what one says but its the way one says it!" vibe.🤷🏽♀️💯😉
Considering the bride's choice for her wedding dress, her fashion tastes leaves A LOT to be desired. And why is "Vintage Country Chic" so popular and what does it mean?
What a disaster. When that mother with the shoe polish black hair got all echoed about that dress. I laughed out loud.. Thinking
Lady that sweet girl is 1/4 of your size...
Lol
The bride has no taste :/
absolutely none
shahad alsanea just because it’s not your taste dosent mean she has none
There were 7 maids in the last wedding I was in. We had 6 different dresses in the same color and fabric: gray lace/chiffon. We were allowed to choose whatever style we wanted as long as it was in the same gray lace/chiffon family.
thank god lori thought some sense into her, that would be a MESS
