some guys do not know that the original version was sung buy Desomd de silva and the sinhala version was done by Master Ameredewa, so there are many versions, not a deal every one has done with their own styles some times.
It was sung by Master Amaradewa not by desmond De Silva. Never heard Desmond singing this song. I mean the sinhala version not added stuff
+Suri Jay Sorry to butt in. But you probably weren't even born when Desmond De Silva first sang Nimal Mendis's original composition that he wrote for his wife, titled 'Yesterday Today or Tomorrow' which was later translated to Sinhala and used for the film Seetha Devi, sung by Amaradeva!

all you guys just research before you blaming artistes and criticising. Nimal Mendis composed this song for his wife when he was dating her. He originally wrote it in English. He got desmond to sing it. Then when the sinhala movie producer came to him he got amaradeva master to sing it in sinhala. So no one copied anyone. Now nimal mendis gets a lot of young people to do versions of his songs. so i dont see any thing bad any where, you have the option of enjoying any version you want.

Nothing wrong.. great version... He has enough great originals to do a concert but I like this version. No harm done..I have seen prominent artists and 'super stars' murdering this track with very little resistence from anybody really..Well.. having said that I think the female voice is a dissapointment to say the least.
The second girl who starts to sing is totally shaky and uotta pitch....donno whether its nerves paying off...thats the only flub I see in this....Anyways superb cover Billy!! keep it up man! U made this current to the younger generation....

Nimal Mendis writes his songs in English. The original was written in English (Yesterday, Today Or Tomorrow - for his late wife Ranjini) sung by Desmond. Subsequently it was transferred to Sinhala and used in the film Seethadevi. According to your statement Amaradeva has killed Desmond's song ???
