  • Hey everyone!! I'm so sorry for being M.I.A; I have been drained lately. I finally got the time to put together this straight hair video for y'all. It has been over a year since the last time I straightened my hair and a cut off the heat damage. Before you jump to conclusions NO i did not get heat damage from flat ironing my hair on 450 degrees, I got heat damage because I flat ironed my hair and then I went to the salon and they used hairspray in my hair and flat ironed and used a curling iron in my hair all in the same day!

    I love a woman with long hair. I have a greater respect for woman with natural long hair as this process is very time consuming. You're a beautiful woman with a great smile.

    Hi im only 13 but u inspired me to go back to being natural. When i entered junior high i wanted to be cool so i used heat on my long curly hair everyday, and i lost 6 inches of hair, so my mom doesnt have time to take care of my hair so i looked at your videos and my hair has already grown 4 inches in the last 7months and its so healthy. Thanks alot. And your hair is truly beautiful. :)

    You have beautiful hair but I just wanted to tell black women you don't need all those products. My mom's hair grew down to her butt and she only used water and olive oil. Black hair isn't complicated at all. You just need to stop wanting straight hair. It's only complicated because you compare it to looking like straight or loose curls. If you got frizz so what. Anyways keep the beautiful natural black women coming.

    • @NaiaKirra
      @NaiaKirra 10 лет назад +10

      She just wanted a new look for a bit. Why is that wrong? It's not like she straightens it all the time.
      That's good for your mom. I had a long period of time where I only used water and an oil based conditioner, because I had no time to worry about my hair. But my hair just shed and broke off constantly and was totally damaged. My hair has extremely low porosity so I can't just put oil on my head and expect it to work. The strands to absorb moisture easily at all so I have to adjust for that. And my hair dries with a quickness. Two to three minutes after I am out of the shower my hair is dry as can be and it doesn't even feel like I have been in the shower.
      So, you can't say that "black" hair isn't complicated because everyone if different so what works for one won't for another. Once you find what works for you then it becomes significantly less complicated sure but you have to find what works for you first.

    • @ShaneiceCrystal
      @ShaneiceCrystal  10 лет назад +4

      Lol wow. You both are just sharing knowledge there was obviously a miscommunications. Its all good!

    • @NaiaKirra
      @NaiaKirra 10 лет назад +10

      NoShadowLyte Wow, no need for such hostility.
      It just sounded like you were insulting her decision to straighten her hair and making light of how it can be difficult for some people to grow their hair.
      I have always had a hard time with my hair and recently due to health issues it has gotten even worse to manage and even keep hair on my head, and so I felt a bit insulted that you were under the impression that it was easy to have healthy hair.
      I didn't mean to offend you or anything and I wasn't saying your method was wrong I was just saying some people can't do that.
      I wasn't trying to start an argument or make your comment sound negative I was just letting you know that it was a bit of a broad statement that may not apply to everyone.

    • @NaiaKirra

    I really love this video, it was really helpful i haven't done the trimming yet but I u do straighten it the same way you showed us, I use different products but my hair still comes out just as straight. I've watch this video a few times and every time I watch it I regret cutting my length off my hair was also near tail bone length! But because I thought going natural meant chopping a lot of your hair off my hair is now at bra strap length😡(1year and half ago). Ever time I heard about someone going natural I hear the term "big chop" so I thought that was the only way, afterwards I heard about transitioning and I thought "really?" After I just cut my hair short. But whatevs my hair is healthy and natural so maybe that was the best for my hair .I really love you hair it's SO big and pretty!! I'm sorry this comment was so long! But I hope you took the time to read it
