@@trainenthusiast5199 well, I'm a music producer, so I figured out pretty quickly that both songs have the same time signature (as well as BPM), and I suspected they have the same key as well, only different octaves and formants, because the MOONLIGHT vocalist is female and Bruno Mars is a dude. So I looked up the key for both the songs, and lo and behold! It's identical (F Minor in both cases).
Idk, I'd say C minor fits both of those songs better. They both use G minor chords, which contain D natural, a note that isn't found in the F minor scale. While this section of MOONLIGHT doesn't make it too clear whether the song is in C minor or Eb major (never listened to it before), Treasure's chord progression definitely wants to gravitate towards C minor, and it can't be called F minor just because the first two chords are Ab major and F minor.
Considering "Treasure" is nine (NINE!) years older than this song, it's probably more accurate to say that "Moonlight" is simply a Bruno Mars song written for Twice.

I would like to say. March 17th, 2023. This video first ever comes up on my fyp. I have an obsession with music, and I find strange similarities in songs, keys of said songs, bpm, etc. So i thought it would be interesting to see, and i open the video. And i listen to the music, and i really *listen* to it, you know? Like really get the feels. I knew the sing treasure and have always loved it, but did not know the 1st song and became obsessed with it with just one listen and one snippet of it. Until i found out the name of the first song, i would play this one specific mashup on loop. I would be doing all of schoolwork/homework and just listen to this over and over and it was heaven. I finally searched and found it was called 'moonlight' by twice as we know it and fell in love. Nine months later, i realize this video is the realize i am a huge twice fan and if i haven't seen this video i would have never known they existed. I went to a twice concert recently and they sung moonlight in the encore and i had never been more happy. All in all both songs are amazing and they sound perfect together :)

Treasure was exactly the first thing that came to mind when I first listened to Moonlight😭 Oftentimes I expect the pre chorus of Moonlight to be followed by Treasure as the chorus
There's been so many songs that has the same bpm I sometimes confuse them when humming the lyrics and transisition to the different song without realizing.
Baby I'm Yours - Breakbot, is the source for the concept of Treasure, so it would be fun to hear it with Twice vocals, too. Breakbot saw Bruno at one of his shows a couple years before Treasure was released and got a request from his team to use the track, but said no, and decided not to pursue any court stuff in the end.
