Federations did not add the galactic community, it was a free update, federations just gave a few more resolutions you can propose in the community
I would put synthetic dawn above all the other species pack. Its just a completely different playstyle with a solid amount of replayability.

The leader cap is not a part of the DLC but the free update
Which also means you are double fucked because you don't have busted leaders but still capped.
As a rule everything I buy on Steam is 'Wait for a Sale'. I like Stellaris because it's probably the most approachable Paradox game. I tried EU4 before Stellaris and just could not get it. Now I'm learning HOI4 and having a blast.

@@rykerth896 this is true. utopia however is agreed by basically the entire community to be an essential DLC, so that's a safe pick.
Despite leader caps, empires in Galactic Paragons can end up way more powerful than anything without. Also, the leader cap was part of the free update, so has no impact on how good paragons as a dlc is. If anything, how restricted leaders are makes it even more necessary, since what leaders you do have, you want them to be powerful.

@@cosmosyn2514 if it makes you feel any better, I feel the same way as the sentiment you expressed here. Personally think it's disgusting that they change the system in the base game in a way that necessitates buying dlc for proper enjoyment.
Paragons should have been a much smaller pack, only having the new renowned and legendary paragons and civics gated behind pay wall. Everything else should have been moved to base game.
The amount of dlcs wouldn't bother me if it didn't all together cost around 230 dollars
The leader cap is part of the free update, while the reason there even is a leader cap (leaders beeing a lot stronger) is locked behind the DLC: So without the DLC you get the worst of both worlds a pointless leader cap on already pretty useless leaders.
God, the entire leaders update is so bad, it was made purely to sell that DLC.

One thing about lithoids is they are better soldiers expecailly with machine empires just to add something good about them even though this still wasn't a good enough selling point for me I'll buy the lithoids probably last.
overlord and distant starr i would put them ins the most fun category and would down toxicoid incatch in on sales... And Paragon well most of the feature are free so don't need to buy it... But the update was one of the best honnestly XD and still the new origin is pretty nice so catch it on sales or fun for the most i would put it between those 2

Wish you had spoken a bit slower here. Remember, the audience for this is people who don't already know about the particular things added by a DLC.
You can change the video speed to 0.75x, it will be easier to follow along that way.

Imo Apocalypse is quite fun BUT not needed and mainly best in multiplayer. It’s so fun destroying your friends capital :))))
Galactic Federation makes playing as aggressive "evil" faction almost impossible.

The best way to enjoy all dlc is to pirate the game. Then you can judge them based on their own merits instead of their price

Yeah, it is in the base game, but tbf the mechanic is pretty barebones without Nemesis. Kinda like Federations and the Galactic community without the Federations DLC. They exist in the base game, but they're heavily stripped down.

And, btw, their ancestors invaded my country long time ago. I pirate their dlcs as a reparation
