_"Maybe someone's counting? I'm not, that's for sure."_
Thanks, Quin. Now I'm obligated to do this.
*In today's episode of Breath of the Wild...*
I've been contracted, reluctantly, to record every Korok that Quin finds til the end of time. To some, this is a curse. To me? Yeah, yeah I agree. But, c'mon, I've built a reputation of having nothing better to do than this, no? At least I'm not on the actual grind, that's Quin's job. Comparatively, I'm on vacation.
    Time to *summarize.*
1:00 We "start" our journey with *Korok 97!* Quin, unfortunately, does not take a graceful dive. I will have to dock points for his sub-par performance.
1:25 *Korok 98* is atop the Temple of Time. It's strange how much Koroks love to "hide" on tall vantage points... are _they_ hiding from _us,_ or are _we_ hiding from _them...?_
2:30 Quin struggles like a hylian in subzero water in order to retrieve *Korok 99.*
2:48 Quin's obsession with Koroks perseveres over his fear of death, allowing him to find *Korok 100* (only 800 more to go!)
3:19 *Korok 101* was frozen alive, but he has finally been defrosted. Now he may wreak havoc upon the world.
3:38 *Korok 102* was hard to find for Quin, and even harder to find for the viewer. ("Yahaha!" offscreen)
3:59 *Korok 103;* don't worry Quin, many people are also probably not good at that. My buddy Eric, though, does that all day.
Quin assumes that Koroks have rights and, therefore, protection under the law. This is wishful thinking, as the nation of Hyrule has a long past of prejudice against the forest fae race.
4:11 *Korok 104* has no protection and thus Quin finding is the first human kindness he has ever known.
    4:14 *Korok 105* didn't even try.
Those skeletons were moving at supersonic speeds just to slap The Green Man. Unfortunately, they failed, and it was very embarrassing.
    4:28 *Korok 106* is a little weirdo.
Nintendo Switch Shirt. Not much more to say for that interlude.
    4:57 *Korok 107*
5:06 and *Korok 108* are very unlucky with doors.
"You ever been outplayed by a pig before?" I'm almost certain that that's the plot of the game you're currently playing, Quin. Virtually every game in the franchise, in fact.
5:45 *Korok 109* is one of the first few Koroks I ever found, fun fact. Kind of embarrassing for Quin.
6:00 The small men are not fireproof, in exception to *Korok 110* (and several others, especially on Death Mountain).
Quin prophesies his future. We'll check back with him in a few decades.
6:32 *Korok 111* recites an ancient incantation to finish the spell.
    7:15 *Korok 112* is a buddy :)
    7:55 *Korok 113.* Just Korok 113.
    8:00 *Korok 114,* too.
    8:17 *Korok 115* is a sticky man.
8:42 *Korok 116* is found while Mipha is on break, making him quite a bit harder to find. Mortally.
    8:49 Hello, *Korok 117!*
9:15 This puzzle is vague; even after my third rewatch (because I've made a horrible decision) I still can't tell what *Korok 118* wanted.
9:29 Quin kills a salmon while finding *Korok 119.* Someone is unhappy about this.
    10:01 *Korok 120* knows.
10:10 Quin overshares to *Korok 121.*
10:19 The Man, *Korok 122.* He is unimpressed by your lack of diving. Frankly, so am I.
11:19 *Korok 123* is tedious. I'm sure he won't be the only one. At least I love counting, so he gets a pass.
11:24 Binkus nearly dies finding *Korok 124.*
11:45 Quin is bad at counting, but at least he finds *Korok 125.* He does give him his 90th Korok _seed,_ if you discount all the ones he's traded in to Hetsu so far.
11:50 *Korok 126* is sad and lonely. _Mood._
12:00 *Korok 127* did not want to be found.
_If we abide by Quin's rules, he should have _*_45 subscribers_*_ from this video alone._
12:17 Quin picked up the rock to find *Korok 128*
    12:39 *Korok 129,* I don't know. Good progress. I am counting.
13:23 Quin mistakes a seed for a jar to find *Korok 130.*
    14:00 Cursed *Korok 131.*
14:10 *Korok 132* nearly leads Quin to kill his new pet elk, but luckily it just runs away. Perhaps they'll see each other again some other time.
"He's got terrible aim," says Quin, projecting, after struggling with Korok 131
14:32 Okay, I lied, Quin's sick. He's got the best aim I've ever seen. He also finds *Korok 133,* once again mistaking a seed for a bottle. Why?
    14:40 *Korok 134.* Yay?
14:50 Quin has achieved his dreams. *Korok 135* is there to congratulate him. Maybe one day he'll marry Saki and this specific Korok can be the best man at the wedding-- oh, nevermind, he hates him. Moving on.
14:59 Gross *Korok 136* has been got.
15:07 *Korok 137* couldn't think of anything new. Me neither, buddy.
15:19 Nearly missed *Korok 138.* ("Yahaha!" offscreen) What would I be then? A fraud, that's what.
15:25 *Korok 139* has a _great_ hiding spot and you will not bully him for it!
15:47 Quin is impressed by *Korok 140.*
Today's (mis)adventures conclude with *Korok 141* (15:58), found with our best bud Gamer!
    Today's Korok count: 45
    Total Koroks found: 141/900

According to some theories, they might be Kokiri that turned into Koroks and the Koroks might turn into Deku trees or cursed Deku trees like in the lost woods. I think that since the Kokiri are children who like to play, when they got turned into Koroks, they didn’t really care and kept playing. When they played hide and seek, they put themselves in jars and stuff.

Hi Quin, hope you enjoy the Korok hunting, it's definitely one of the most grindy thing you can do in a video game. Since you have already taken that step, maybe you want to complete all the side quests and get all the key items in order to 100% complete the game? I personally add killing all the Lynels to that list cuz it's strange that they are considered as just normal enemies but not mini bosses.

Pretty recently I finished collecting all 900, and let me tell you it’s super painful, super satisfying, and super fun! Here are some little tips I found helpful :)
    - Some puzzles have you match the fruit on a set of three trees/cacti, and I recommend shooting down the ones you need to make it match since if you mess up they take a while to respawn
    - You can stasis the acorns in the floating puzzles, but not the balloons
    - If you can’t find a specific one sometimes just walking around with stasis will help you find rocks or something suspicious
    - make sure you always have enough arrows
    - you can mark the korok locations on your map using stamps! This makes it easier to focus on one area without always having to reference your computer

As someone who collected every korok, good luck. My only advice is that with the ancient saddle, you're not always able to whistle in your horse because of the conditions, similar to how you can't call your horse on Death Mountain. Before you enter any snowy areas, just ride in with your horse instead of teleporting so you can move around faster than running.

  • @cajunseasoning1846

The Ancient Saddle allows you to call your horse anywhere you want. It is behind the Great Fairy-like fountain of Malanya the Horse God, its a short ride/hike from Highland Stable through the opening passed the puddle lake where the horses are and go left from there and across the bridge. It plays the same Great Fairy music when you approch but remixed with Epona's Song, its quite lovely.

Close to the bridge over by the Coliseum there's one that took me forever to find because it's pretty well camouflaged. In the Akkala region, close to the spiral peninsula iirc there's a timed one that I remember being a little stressful because of how little time you get. In the Eldin region, next to the Medingo pool, there's a korok that you need a golden bow for because it gives you the required range while also not burning to a crisp. In Nirvata Lake, between the Peak of Awakening and Hateno Village, there's two. The trickier one is the one up the waterfall. In the Gerudo Highlands there's a couple of annoying ones; not because they are difficult but because of how far the item you need for the puzzle falls down if you miss.

bro I just discovered your channel and I love it! I don't know if you got majora's mask (from 1st dlc) but if you haven't you should cuz it allows you to blend with all monsters (even lynels) so you can sneak by; it's especially good if you're trying to farm weapons from within hyrule castle.

When I was collecting all the korok seeds I managed to miss 1... I used the interactive map to remove korok seeds I had found, but at one location there are 2 koroks very close to each other, so i somehow checked off both... that was a long day, going through the map twice

You need the ancient saddle it’s in the Malanya area. And when you hit the Koroks on Tarrey Town and Castle bridges put your Ravio hood on!

  • @ChaucerWife
    @ChaucerWife 3 года назад

Everyone has said it already, but you have to go to the horrible horse fountain and duck behind it, magnesis the chest out of the ground, and bam! You have the ancient saddle. Then you put it on a horse with max friendship/trust at one of the stables (only the ones with the lady tending the horses) and you're good, Quin!

Most of the flower ones involve climbing, which is SO much easier to do with the Climbing Gear at at least level 2 so you can have the set bonus. Also do attempt the climbing ones in the rain, even in the Climbing Gear. It's a nightmare. Also wearing the Zora armor Mipha made for you lets you swim up waterfalls

For the telehorse ability you need to get the ancient briddke (which you have) and the saddle. One i believe is under a cherry blossum tree at hyrule ridge and the other is by the horse god

The Ancient Saddle is the item that you can equip to be able to call your horse, to find it you need to go to the Horse God Fountain, it should be to the left of and behind the Fountain itself. Also! Those Korok puzzles that are the pots being flung into the air can be cheesed with Stasis! You can Stasis the pots, shoot them, then un-Stasis and it breaks them.

you get the ancient bridle to give the horse extra gallops or spurs, you get the ancient saddle to call your horse the horse to you. you can get the items at satori mountain and the behind horse gods fountain. you can equip them onto your horse at the highland stable by talking to the NPC by the horses while on a horse.

The other day I finally got all 900 koroks. I've been slowly chipping away at it since 2017. The Zelda Dungeon map changed the game about 7 months ago and I've been occasionally just checking some off the map. Earlier this week I said "screw it, I'm doing this" and grinded out the last ~200 of them.
I had exactly 3 I was missing at the end, which I type as I hear you say you're afraid of missing 3 at the end. It was annoying as fuck to check off all the koroks again, but I was eventually able to figure it out.
The castle is the worst part because you can't view the map from the inside! Also, be VERY careful when there's 2 koroks directly next to each other on the Zelda Dungeon map and make sure you actually got both before you check them both off. Those were my three missed ones.

the item that allows your horse to teleport to you with just a whistle; is actually the matching saddle to your sheikah bridle, it is found at satori mountain under the cherry tree. happy korok hunting!

  • @Icepiq72

The ancient saddle, which allows you to call your horse via whistle, is behind the Horse God. You can find his location in Faron on the map it’s called something like “river of the horse god” or something like that.

So on the Wii u version, I started tracking my koroks about half way through. Then after getting the 900th one, I realized it was actually the 899th. I haven't touched that game since. It made me so angry. Then I got the switch version and tracked every single one from the start. I just got all 900 on December 24th :)
