Skyrionn, I’ll definitely check it out, I’m glad I stumbled upon your channel! Btw, do you think Scythe is William Black?? And that the hero of Oakvale is named ‘Aarkan’ as a book in fable 2 suggests? Will you be doing lore for the in between of Fable 1 and 2? @@kristiankopera Wouldn't be necessarily bad. Even though the first game is great, it could be greatly improved on many, many aspects. Microsoft/PlaygroundGames could simply do a reworked Fable 1 on a way bigger scale with more depth and details (Better and bigger storyline, towns, land to explore, dialogues, characters, everything !)
It's a cool detail of how Scythe is mentioned in Fable 2 to be looking after Rose if you use the wish that brings her back. Rose, in a letter, describes him as scary looking with a hood, but very nice and she feels safe around him. She also mentions that he has promised to reunite her with her brother/sister one day.

Based on how powerful Will was, and how the Queen of Blades managed to fight him for weeks, literally creating mountains, I’m not sure if the hero we play in Fable 1 could beat either of them in a fight.

Fable 1 did not age well tho, so boring and clunky. I just tried to play the remaster and even on xbox one it still lagged. Crazy. I get the nostalgia aspect though we tend to look on the past with rose colored glasses.
Thank you so much. So much time went in to this video and I'm so happy with how it turned out. I'm thinking I'll look into the backstory of Portal next.
Fable honestly has some really good lore idk why the games barley talk about it. I did enjoy 2 though cause to me I feel like it was the most fleshed out lore wise
There was so much that they could have explored and developed to make Fable II and even Fable III's story better. I loved the story of Fable 2, but still, diving a bit more into the origins of what made Albion what it was would have been great.
My favorite lore piece was the “Fall of the Guild” reading those diary entries from the perspective of a man who wanted to become a Hero, but how society changed and how the Guild and Heroes were seen as time went along was very fun to imagine and think about
This is amazing! As a child i used to read every in game book, and the description from legendary weapons, it was just magic, they did a pretty good job succesfully portraying this world of fantasy and made me dream about It and think of It with illution. And now that i have grown up that same feeling mixes with nostalgia... it was a very special game for me, it still is, and im glad Microsoft is trying to bring it back for the next gen, hope they get to portray the same feeling and magic that made Fable so special. Love the video. I have always loved fable its one of the reasons i ever got an xbox. I love all the info you have of the history and lore of fable, thank you
You probably won't see this but I thought that Avo's Tear was created by some hero when he was trying to close a vortex that would destroy Bowerstone. I'm pretty sure this is explained on the book on Avo's Tear when you are looking for the sword.
Hello :) I believe there are conflicting stories on where the sword came from. According to "Tales of Albion" which was on the Lionhead website, it said that Nostro commissioned it. But then, as you mention in the book, it tells the story of how Solcius used a common sword as the focus point of a spell to close the vortex that threatened Bowerstone. I think with conflicting stories like this, it's good to kind of decide which story you would prefer happened. Thanks for watching and commenting! :)
@@Skyrionn Thanks for the reply! It's actually cool now that I think about it: it's a very old legend, so it's normal that there is not a definitive explanation for its origin. Anyways, you should resume your Fable content. This was a nice video :)
@@stefanoponce6090 I am planning on coming back and continuing with the Timeline. I'm currently working on a Bioshock timeline which is taking a while to put together.
I'm sure I remember reading somewhere that After Nostro had Avo's Tear made, for whatever reason it was given to a town guard, at which point it did not possess any powers. Then once it was used to seal the rift, it gained equal powers to the Sword of Aeons.
@Black Rainbow I don't think it's entirely far fetched to say they have roughly the same power, it was used as a focus to seal a rift to the very void the original was forged. I know in the base game Aeons has 550 damage, but in TLC it does specifically say "Its strength rivals even the Sword of Aeons."

Great video. The in game lore on the Avo's Tear is about some of the great 4 heroes buried in the guild courtyard. Something about how one of them closed a portal that was going to destroy Bowerstone, using a sword that belonged to a guard as the catalyst to stop the portal, it absorbed all his magic and the portal at the cost of his own life and that sword turned into the Avo's Tear. I'm not sure where you read the thing about Nostro having it commissioned and made by a black smith. Thats a vast inconsistency unless they retconned it. I dont understand why they never made a prequel game where you play through Willam Black/Scythe's backstory. That couldve been its own tripple A game.

Excellent video man, I love fable lore and its great seeing more content on it. Especially when it's done so well One critique: the music is slightly too loud in some spots
After researching this, it changed the way I saw my first playthrough after, as the Old Kingdom is mentioned quite a lot! Thanks for watching - I really appreciate it!
How on earth does this not have more views. Thank you for this i really enjoyed it. Please do something about the theories surrounding who Scythe is and what happened to the hero of oakvale.
I will, I have quite a big list of locations and people to cover. Scythe is William Black. I'd be interested the investigate what happened to the Hero of Oakvale. I'll add him to the list. Thanks for watching and being so kind!
We all know Playground will completely disregard this amazing story. after the reveal im holding my excitement until we get a story plot and gameplay. The Court of Blades and the history of Scythe needs to be played in game and I have this feeling it will only be mentioned in books or some kind of text in game. If they are rebooting the series, they could definitely have his story play out and could give us a group of amazing villains to fight for many games.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! It was information pulled from a ton of different sources. The Old Lionhead website, books in game, the Fable Wikia was a great help. Fable: The Journey had a nice chunk of backstory for The Spire. Tons of sources compiled into one video. It took a while to write, but it came together well :)
I'm going to guess you read the books that appeared in the game and tied it all together? A ton of this sounds super familiar but I never pieced it together like this. I really hope the next Fable title (Because the rumor is that there is a new one) is a reboot and expands upon THIS storyline, and not some weird ass Fable II "spire" story line, that makes absolutely zero sense already. I love the queen, knife and jack of blades court concept, and hearing it the way you presented it feels significantly more like a versatile story than anything I can recall in Fable II or Fable III. Great job.
It was a combination of a bunch of sources. Looking through all the history helped me appreciate the games so much more when I went back and played them! I would love a reboot I think. Im just not sure where they could go with another Fable in the current timeline.
Josh Washington lol I started with fable 2 and to this day think it’s one of the greatest games I’ve played I wanted to get anniversary to try 1 but I got a ps4 now... still a reboot is exactly what is needed if streets of rage 4 can drop so can this
Fable 1: Great start to the story and lore. Tons of memorable characters, quests, and art. Best combat system in the series. Awesome villain who felt like a huge threat. Fable 2: Artistically good, a couple good quests, neat villain, 2 memorable characters. Garbage combat system. Kicks out most of the lore from previous game with small exceptions. Fable 3: Good motives for villain, the most memorable side quests in the series, tons of memorable characters, best music in the series, improved combat system, and sadly forced to be a sequel to the worst game in the trilogy.
I don't know who edited the subtitles but some of them are just priceless " woodsman came across a woman in a near-death condition who have been attacked by 12 Alfred's", I'm glad I never came across those Alfred's while playing, they sound vicious :-DD
I'll admit, during my first playthrough after making this, I understood all the references to the old kingdom and heroes mentioned. It really made me enjoy the playthrough a lot more.
Great video, could you do one where you explain what happens to Albion between the different games, each time the landscape and cities has been changed and I always wondered why, like how Brightwood became Brightwall and things like that
I love this video as there isn't much lore behind the original story. I've heard that Fable IV is in the works. If so, I hope it's before the first game of Fable. A back story if you will, leading up to where the first game begins. I rather enjoyed the first one the most because it was based in "mid evil" times. There's so many heros before the original game that needs to be explored.
Thank you! I have thought about doing Skyrim. There's so much history that comes with that and I'd love to go into it. Maybe when I've done a few games and I feel confident that I could do it justice :)
Oh dude I hope you've played it by now. Fable is one of the most original fantasy worlds developed it's amazing the third installment isn't really worth it sadly.
Doesnt it say in fable 1 that a hero gave his own life to save the guild and the gods or something blessed his sword to seal a vortex that was consuming the guild and thats how avos tear was formed? Ive played this game probably over 50 times and ive never heard this way you described in being forged. Maybe it wasnt a god but the good heros spirits of the past or something. Im pretty sure this video is wrong about avos tear.
If I may suggest two topics I would really like someone to do do a breakdown of the law revealed during journey cos that's a game I could never really play and and I understand there's actually a lot of Secrets revealed during it and also a history of Theresa and she's my favourite character would be brilliant keep up the good work thank you for all your efforts
I'll add it to the list. The issue with The Journey is that I'm not sure if I would be able to visualise it with the software required to play the game. If I can find a work-around, I'll see what I can do! I've got Theresa on my list :)

@@Skyrionn I hope you do more Fable lore videos, there's not many good respectful fable videos out there. I bet you'd get millions of views, all the Fable fans would appreciate it.
That's why I made this, because I couldn't find a visual timeline. I'm currently working on a timeline for Portal. (Hopefully going to get one out a month). If I did find time to get out some smaller lore videos, what would you like me to cover from Fable?
@@Skyrionn you should do a video about how the world changed from the first fable to Fable 3. Use the maps and stuff. The map isn't very detailed though. You could also do some monsters lore like the Hobs, nymphs and balvarines.
@@cyberlingbot3d896 It's on my list of episodes to do. I was thinking of doing little lore videos like that. I think I'd have to stop one of the other series though to find time to do it.
Severely underrated video. Thank you for this
You're very welcome! That's very kind :)
I can't believe this video exists! Thank you so much!
What an outstanding video. I have heard the outline of the History of Albion from the games, but there is a lot of neat details in here I had never heard before.
If the rest of your lore and fact videos are this good, then I will definitely have to watch more! I can tell you take this very seriously!
The animation and video editing quality is a "stupendous!" bonus, as the curly mustache traders like to say. Keep up the amazing work!
Thank you so much! It means so much for you to say that.
I'm currently working on a Bioshock lore video similar to this. Unfortunately it's taking so much time to make it perfect. So I'm not sure when my next episode will be uploaded. Hopefully there is enough on the channel for you!
Excellent video man, I love fable lore and its great seeing more content on it. Especially when it's done so well
One critique: the music is slightly too loud in some spots
Thank you! I was surprised that not many people are making Fable content. It's such a great game.
Noted! I did have that issue with my earlier videos.
This was very well done, and I learned a lot. Thank you.
Thanks so much for watching. This is exactly why I make them. I'm planning on continuing the Fable timeline after I complete the Bioshock Timeline!
Good work!
Thank you! I really enjoyed making this one!
This is well made! I've always wanted to know about fable's history, and that's why i really like this video.
After researching this, it changed the way I saw my first playthrough after, as the Old Kingdom is mentioned quite a lot! Thanks for watching - I really appreciate it!
Thanks for making this! Definitely liking all your fable videos
Good efforts, thank you, it’s was exciting
+Темирлан Толегенов You're very welcome! I'm so happy you enjoyed it. Stay tuned for more!
That was a great video, thank you! I wish they would have made a Fable 4.
I'm so glad that you enjoyed it. It's such a great story! I'm to follow on with the timeline one day!
Wow. thank you. I have enjoyed this game for years, and what you shared here, was very informative and fun.
Glad you enjoyed it! I also have a lore series on Fable if that's your kinda thing!
I'm making a video on fable this really helped me understand a game I've loved most of my life thank you!
Great editing and info. I hope it was fun doing this video
It was! I loved researching the history and then visualising it. Thanks for watching!
This is really good, 10/10
Thank you! There's more to come!
Incredible video
Thanks so much! I'm considering doing another lore episodes based between Fable 1 and 2. Stay turned!
I'm not finished yet but this is so cool!!
Plus you have a nice voice!
I hope there will be a Fable 4
This was so informative! Thank you so much for making such a well put-together video.
Where did you get all your information from?
I'm glad you enjoyed it! It was information pulled from a ton of different sources. The Old Lionhead website, books in game, the Fable Wikia was a great help. Fable: The Journey had a nice chunk of backstory for The Spire. Tons of sources compiled into one video. It took a while to write, but it came together well :)
Love your work! Can’t wait to see more!
More to come!
Also, join our Discord! We talk about Fable and meme stuff.

Josh Washington lol I started with fable 2 and to this day think it’s one of the greatest games I’ve played I wanted to get anniversary to try 1 but I got a ps4 now... still a reboot is exactly what is needed if streets of rage 4 can drop so can this
God I love this game, it doesn't get enough attention, great vid!
Glad you enjoy it! I really loved making it!
This is about to get a lot more views
I never knew the backstories of Nostro, Scythe, Archon etc. Really informative video thank you :)
Glad you enjoyed! It is such an amazing story!
Fable 1: Legend
Fable 2: Nice and cool
Fable 3: WTF, you call that fable
I loved the story from Fable III but the first will always be my favourite!
Fable 3 felt like a Fable game.....
Jordan Rayner Faiiiir
Fable 1: Great start to the story and lore. Tons of memorable characters, quests, and art. Best combat system in the series. Awesome villain who felt like a huge threat.
Fable 2: Artistically good, a couple good quests, neat villain, 2 memorable characters. Garbage combat system. Kicks out most of the lore from previous game with small exceptions.
Fable 3: Good motives for villain, the most memorable side quests in the series, tons of memorable characters, best music in the series, improved combat system, and sadly forced to be a sequel to the worst game in the trilogy.
@@Mr.Foxhat you sir, are wrong, objectively wrong
I love these Fable videos dude. They remind me of Zeltik's channel with Zelda, or Fudge Muppet with Skyrim.
Thank you. I just love lore. Thanks for watching and commenting :)
Love hearing fable lore
nice video really well done, great job man keep doing it
I only just realised that Theresa was the sister in Fable 1. Love that.
This is great! Can't wait for the new fable to come out in 2021
I don't know who edited the subtitles but some of them are just priceless " woodsman came across a woman in a near-death condition who have been attacked by 12 Alfred's", I'm glad I never came across those Alfred's while playing, they sound vicious :-DD
😂 😂 😂 😂 I may need to manually do them!
Subbed. Looking forward to your history of Albion on Fable 4 in the future
One day! Thanks for the sub!
Man thanks for the lore I’m playing fable 1-3 and I know what’s happening exactly
I'll admit, during my first playthrough after making this, I understood all the references to the old kingdom and heroes mentioned. It really made me enjoy the playthrough a lot more.
Great video, could you do one where you explain what happens to Albion between the different games, each time the landscape and cities has been changed and I always wondered why, like how Brightwood became Brightwall and things like that
Nevermind X) I think you did enough Fable videos for me to find what I'm looking for XDD Didn't see you were so prolific x)
Wow this is awesome I'm a long time fan of fable it was one of the first video Gamez I ever played!!!
I'm so glad we're getting another one.
@@Skyrionn I am to!!!
I love fable it’s so ominous and cool it’s awesome!
I love this video thank you for making this.
Thanks for watching. It really came from a love of the games!
I always wondered if the darkness, the spire, and the crawler had a connection between each other. Glad to have learned they do.
I'm glad the video helped!
This is rad as hell
I love this video as there isn't much lore behind the original story. I've heard that Fable IV is in the works. If so, I hope it's before the first game of Fable. A back story if you will, leading up to where the first game begins. I rather enjoyed the first one the most because it was based in "mid evil" times. There's so many heros before the original game that needs to be explored.
Thank you :) I loved making this. Combining all of the information I could find. Have you seen the Fable lore series I have?
Dude, Fable: TLC was dope.
Fable 2 impoved on a lot.
Fable 3 was the best co-op.
Thank you so much for doing this
So you so much for watching! It was so fun to make :)
@@Skyrionn it's about time someone talked about it
That's some story telling shhhhh right there!.... Very well spoken mate never played fable.... I love skyrim so might be worth a dabble
Thank you! I have thought about doing Skyrim. There's so much history that comes with that and I'd love to go into it. Maybe when I've done a few games and I feel confident that I could do it justice :)
@@Skyrionn yeah so much story behind skyrim I would get lost trying to keep up with it to be honest haha
Oh dude I hope you've played it by now. Fable is one of the most original fantasy worlds developed it's amazing the third installment isn't really worth it sadly.
This was really good!
Thank you so much!
I wish they made a prequel playing in those events
Gave me goosebumps that outro
Doesnt it say in fable 1 that a hero gave his own life to save the guild and the gods or something blessed his sword to seal a vortex that was consuming the guild and thats how avos tear was formed? Ive played this game probably over 50 times and ive never heard this way you described in being forged. Maybe it wasnt a god but the good heros spirits of the past or something. Im pretty sure this video is wrong about avos tear.
God i could listen to the lore and history of fable for hours on end ive played all the games and honestly i still barely know enough lore lmao
It's so interesting isn't it!
Loved the video, apart from when you pronounced regime as, regimay. Lol just playing, would love to see more like this
If I may suggest two topics I would really like someone to do do a breakdown of the law revealed during journey cos that's a game I could never really play and and I understand there's actually a lot of Secrets revealed during it and also a history of Theresa and she's my favourite character would be brilliant keep up the good work thank you for all your efforts
I'll add it to the list. The issue with The Journey is that I'm not sure if I would be able to visualise it with the software required to play the game. If I can find a work-around, I'll see what I can do!
I've got Theresa on my list :)
@@Skyrionn that would be marvellous thank you so much both for adding it to the list and taking time to reply that is very courteous of you and the channel shows all of your hard work and courtesy
You deserve a fuck ton of subscribers and I'm about to binge your Fable Lore videos js.
Thanks so much! I hope you enjoy the lore!
