I really enjoyed the beautiful Korean traditional wedding ! I wish the couple eternal happiness, success, and health.from the bottom of my heart. the way they respected the elderly people was magnificent. they made those elderly people very happy by respecting them.that is why I think the couple really deserve the eternal happiness.Good for Koreans to have such a great culture.
@toBe8ere 1) it is not a pepper but a dried date(some people call it a sugar date or palm date, it is a sort of fruit like small apple or a plum). the meaning behind sharing a date is to predict who is going to be in charge of all the finance of the newly married home. who ever gets the bigger chunk of date is predicted to be the one who handles money at home. it's not a serious thing, but more to bring laughter in a wedding. 2) it means that the groom thanks the bride for being his wife.
This is a very beautiful Korean Wedding, taken place,in a Christian Church's Sunday School. You two look so magnificent aswell, but I pray for God's blessings upon you,and may His Son Jesus Christ surround you, with his everlasting love.God bless this Couple, through Jesus Christ or Lord.To God be the Glory!!
@benjerman92 don't you worry a thing. i've seen thousands of non-korean couples getting married in Korean traditional way. every korean would welcome you to have you be a part of the Korean traditional wedding. you're basically a part of the big family, Korean family! Congratulations!
This is really lovely, I'm even more interested in Korea now. *sigh* If there were only some Korean classes around here... I'd love to learn the language and then go there :/
this is so cute! I wonder, does the majority now marry the "western" way (white dress etc) or is this type still the norm? I hope it is, it's lovely! The couple is adorable, too.
Having just returned last weekend from my sons wedding 한국어 차 결혼식 in Seoul, I can tell you that the traditional " Tea Ceremony" still happens at every Korean wedding. While the service was in a church with his bride wearing a beautiful white dress and my son in his kilt, the Tea Ceremony takes pride of place. In fact it took twice as long as the wedding service. So yes, its still very much happening, and as his dad I was proud to keep it alive.
i have been watching videos of diffrent traditional weddings all over the world and i have some questions for you if you don't mind answering; 1) what is the reason/symbol behind sharing a pepper? (im just guessing here so sorry if i got that wrong) and 2) why does the groom carry the bride on his back?

I'm not Korean, but I have to say traditional Korean wedding is the MOST beautiful and elegant way to get married.

What's the name of the music?
It's Canon by Pachelbel played by Sookmyoung Gayageum orchestra. Gayageum is a traditional harp of Korea.
I couldn't find it :( do you have any link?
Hi! Would it be ok if I would use a part of this video for my video? :D Thanks! :D

폐백은 참 괜찮은 전통인듯. 요새는 생략을 자주 하는데. 간소하게라도 하는게 좋은것 같음. 행복하세요!ㅎ
