That doesn't mean he did that well. I got the final 4 teams correct and both exact semi-final matches to be played right which is more impressive. I also got England to beat Denmark in SF but the only reason I got 2 out of 3 of the last matches of the competition wrong was because I'm English and I knew England had a much better chance of winning the trophy vs any other team in the final than Italy because Italy were overdue a Euro's title so I went for Italy to lose SF to Spain (which they should've done on general play) and England to win the final which they would've just about managed to do vs a Spain etc...even a France. Like I said anyone but Italy. Best team from the previous 6 European championships to have not won any of them. Seconds away from winning Euro2000, would've won it last Euro's if they'd had a quarter of the luck with the fixture list as Portugal had. For 1of the top3or4 footballing nations in the world, Italy went a very long time without a continental cup. They knocked on the door a bit more than England so I thought it would be decided on lottery shootout because both teams are very good but the lucky God's would be with Italy.
I have a feeling they won't be dark horses, but definitely a surprise package. They're in great form right now, and I see them possibly reaching the quarter-finals, if they are paired with an opponent that isn't a favourite (teams like Poland, Denmark, Croatia, etc.)

Germany for example was not doing well and still managed to get out of the group stage. France was favorite by all accounts and got beat by a team that's not even there anymore. I've seen quite a few games turn around completely because of split-second moves. The English have always been very confident about their team even when they wouldn't even get out of group stage. It's fine though, that's what make the sport so fun

I am 28. I have never seen England beat a good team in the knockout phases of a tournament. The only decent team we've ever beaten in my living memory at a major tournament was Germany in 2000.

Dark Horses: Turkey Turkey has always created solid defenders, Demiral and Soyuncu are a strong duo. They’ve beaten France twice, and their midfield are overlooked, and they have a decent attack.

I am 28. I have never seen England beat a good team in the knockout phases of a tournament. The only decent team we've ever beaten in my living memory at a major tournament was Germany in 2000.
