Kristin, my wife and I have been following your RUclips for a few months now as we try to open our FIRST boba shop in Kansas City. One of the big decisions that we have to make is... the use of automatic dispenser for both sugar syrup and powers. I'm curious to get your thoughts/opinions on the value of the use of these dispensers. We like the consistency that the dispensers will allow but each one can be costly, esp if we have 7 to 10 different powders. What do your shops use? Any tips/tricks for new boba shop owners? Love your RUclipss! Keep up the good work. Thanks.
Hello TN.
Thank you for your comments and kind words. I'm happy to know my videos are making a positive impact around the world! 🤩
So personally I prefer to put my profits into things that will bring me a better ROI, like marketing and promos which keeping customers coming back every day... not on things which cost more but you can find cheaper alternatives. For example, in my older videos where I am in my shop showing how to make Mango Milk Tea, I show a pump method I use for my fructose, instead of a machine. This will save $1,000. For my drinks, the customers only asked rarely for 50% sugar, etc... so the staff knew how to do this accordingly.
For powders, a simple brown scoop and box rotation system is better in my opinion than an automatic powder dispenser. If your staff are robots, then this is an excellent idea. But hopefully they're able to use their hands and measure out a scoop of powder themselves. I literally mean this, as I've seen automatic machines used for robot making bubble tea machines.. but for humans, there can be a level of allowing them to do this themselves through training. 😂
Although staff being the biggest error in drink making production, if we take away human touch from everything, then we might as well be using robots. And there are bubble tea robot options already trending around the world.. only a matter of time until humans are taken out of the equation completely. 😂
Hope my thoughts on the matter make sense. 🤩
Kind regards,
Kristin.
