Loving the channel! Weird how these places just seemed to get left like that, as if the prepriators just evacuated in a hurry the building and never went back.
Glad I came across your channel 😊, Im new to exploring so it's great seeing these type of videos and to pick up great tips to help me along the way. I just liked and subscribed x
hi first time of watching your video's, the things on the cellar wall are called cellar boy's they are used for when you pull a pint the are to control the pressure stay safe
The bed was probably set up like that because they were probably unable to fit it through the doors ect... And possibly the owner was old so quick and easy way lol
9:15 - hides the pictures hanging on the wall as it might give away the location, then pans round to a mirror that shows the same pictures in it's reflection... Then at 12:44 shows an actual picture of the pub, class.
The video was great you didn't need the torch because it was so light inside because the walls were mainly white you need a medal going in there across the roof lol good find 👍
work has started on it now, people there every day, before anyone takes the name of the pub from this video and makes the effort to go there lol 3 x 5 be houses being built out the back and the pub is being refurbished and reopened. Nice to see it before though, history right there.
You can tell which county this is in from the video and if I cared to do so, I'm sure I could find exactly which pub it was. But I have no reason to. It does look to be a nice pub, though. Hopefully someone with a great vision buys it up. These days, most country pubs cannot rely on just wet sales from village regulars to sustain the business. The food has to be good enough that people specifically come for it from surrounding areas, and has to have specials or change things up often enough that the regulars don't get bored of the menu, but it also has to be affordable so it isn't just a once a year treat. The management strategy of a country pub is not the same as an urban one from my experience of working in both rural and urban pubs, seeing country pubs fail and also seeing country pubs thrive. Fortunately, my village's pub is busier now than probably at any point in the last 250 years that it existed and that is entirely driven by good quality and well priced food.
@@Melonmango99 I just got that from the notice board , google Acton arms and its the first pub that comes up. In 2022 it was being scheduled to be re opened.
You should have poured one for the ghosts whilst you were there. It's possible the rotten stuff would be what's in the line. You should have poured one and chucked it which should clear the line then try to pour another. Chances are the stuff in the keg will still be fine.
@@urbexadventures2044 next time you are in a pub trying drawing off a pint or two to clear the lines then see if the next pint is drinkable - if beer is off you know pretty quickly. The other stuff you can try is unopened bottled beers and unopened wine which keeps for years. I was watching a video of some lads who found an abandoned nightclub, found an unopened barrel in the cellar, managed to find a tap and spire for the barrel then proceeded to drink the contents which were still perfectly fine whilst playing music through the soundsystem!
You kept saying you couldn’t show parts so as not to give the location away but on the wall you showed a certificate from Shropshire Council and on the dartboard it gave the name of the pub 😆
It's really hard to remember all the buildings I've been in over 10 some sites honestly massive 12 13 14 I keep remembering new ones jeez I just remembered I just remembered 4 more
Fantastic to see it now back open ❤
Who was looking in the window? At 3:49

No doubt empty but I'd've still checked those Whisky boxes 😋

Some of the gaff looks clean, maybe some squatters made it their home not so long ago or maybe they still do.

'I bet he drinks (Carling) Black label', not in that pub (lol), you said about the pool table, but it's funny, dominos but no dart board.

The Acton Arms. The mirror newspaper published a piece about it a few days ago
