+Geekdom101 maybe the reason why bulla might not be born yet is cause there is a lot of hate towards the dbz ending with uub so toriyama might have seen this and is trying to write it out out the series like GT

enjoying the start of the champa arc very much so far, love the humor! fun questions that come to mind after watching, like the possibility of the nameless planet being the 7th DB, why did bulma only ask the dragon to search only universe 6 instead of both, and does beerus have a sinister motive for the wish if he wins or you think his wish would be humorous

Great episode! The best parts were seeing the super dragon balls and holy crap were they huge! And bulma sneaking a kiss on vegeta. I really hope we get more scenes like that it just adds another level to the show. 😀

i was eating food throughout the episode as well :D, cant wait to see what happens next week with Gohan, seems like its going to be very interesting. was a great episode nevertheless, quite funny even though there wasnt a lot of action going on. Anyway great review once again, always interesting to hear about timelines and stuff like that , since i basically just got back into DB and skipped the first 27 episodes since i watched the movies.

Hey mate, I think you forgot about the whole *Bulma is afraid of Beerus's intentions* thing. That was one of the best parts of this episodes and that is the reason she is going to find super dragon balls of our universe. I think the episode you saw wasn't subbed. That episode 30 preview has me so hyped for Gohan. That Piccolo training scene gave me goosebumps. It was so amazing. Seeing Gohan training with his first martial arts master again. Seeing another saiyan/namekian fight. Just all of it.
And of course Gohans fucking hair is back.

Hey D, just a thought. You mentioned how Tights is much older than Bulma but looks younger. Could be an inside joke based on how Bulma had a thing about always thinking shes so beautiful and being cocky about it. Not sure if they are gonna see each other in the series but from what I can gather it's been ages since they have been around each other. Could be a set up for some sisterly conflict at Bulmas expense which would be hilarious in my opinion.
Why the hell do people keep asking "Why do people even care about Bulla?" Like why the hell wouldn't you care about her? It's Bulma and Vegetas second child! A potential candidate for first female Super Saiyan. That's as stupid as asking why do people care about Pan? They are the rising generation and it's important they are apart of the series.
Not only were they already created and in the canon but it's the principle too. You create someone important, they are official canon, the time period for their birth comes and you better fucking make that character. These plot wholes are horse shit and Toei needs to get their shit together. If they can remember Pan then they sure as hell can remember Bulla/Bra.

Personally this has been my favourite episode so far. It's so refreshing to see a new storyline, and the art was actually (for the most part) well drawn. It was just so good to finally make some progress in the story and to see things progress with expansive lore
If Tights is 10+ years older than Bulma, she should be almost 50 years old if not older and yet she looks 15.

I also noticed at beginning of the episode it should of started off whis telling the story about why berus and champa couldn't fight. I was actually hoping to see the flash back of them fighting animated but that disappointed me a bit but overall I give this episode 8.7 very good episode aside from the plot wholes you pointed out. I noticed everything from the manga is different from the anime

I loved the bulma slapping berus part I thought that was hilarious. As for bulma being able to create a dragon radar that can find them in deep space that's not farfetched at all. We know how planets far away from look and what they might be made from. So to say that she can detect the dragon balls even though they are in the universe somewhere isn't much of a stretch.

I can't believe it. This is what I've been waiting for since the series was announced. New content. Couple that with the amazing writing and character interactions and this series could be the best Dragon Ball related thing ever. People should bitching about the canon, the plot-holes and the animation. That's not what Dragon Ball is about. The best way to gauge how good a Dragon Ball episode is by how much you laughed, and this episode was a 10/10.

Thing is, in Asia where the main target audience are. Most people in Asia don't really care much about canon/timeline. They just wanna have fun with the episode and what other cool franchise are available.
The RoF arc is in Age 779. Bulla is born in Age 780

Has anyone else noticed that this tournament is very similar to the Dark Tournament in Yu Yu Hakusho? It's two teams, 5 vs 5, and the winning team gets to have their wish granted. Is it possible that AT may have started taking inspiration from other manga series?

personally i think BoG already made EoZ noncanon because the whole point of ubb was that majin buu was and always has been the most powerfull person goku fought, so when he found out about ubb he decided to train him so that he will have an awesome fight, even gt stuck true to that until of course it was time to find new opponents, but with the introduction of beerus and the ssg concepts before the EofZ, ubb pretty much became unnecesary since he no longer is the reincarnation of the most powerfull person goku fought,just the reincarnation of someone he fought, and even if goku founds out about ubb, he wouldnt care because he fought againts GODS, making buu look like an outdated trend, so yeah, i dont mind that bra was not born, because the end of z was meant to be the encounter of the strongest warriors, not an "oh hey i fought you in the past, you are not as powerfull as i remember" scene
You forgot to mention that we got the reveal of the super dragon balls. And boy their size is not false advertised haha
Hey Geekdom, I didn't hear you mention it or anyone in the comments either. Do you think they're setting up Beerus to become a full fledged villain? The look he flashed Bulma, combined with his annoyance of Goku and Vegeta could convince him to finally end it. Plus adding to the fact that Whis has even offered Goku Beerus's job, I feel like Beerus is gonna snap. It would also allow Goku and Vegeta to finally become stronger since they would have to stop him. Thoughts?

This could all just be head canon, but here's my way around this Bulla situation.
Frieza's resurrection and the birth of Pan we know is in Age 779, so one year later is obviously 780 as you said, but a woman is pregnant for 9 months. Let's say the events of the Universe 6 tournament saga takes place between January-March Age 780, again, could all be head canon, but that would give time for Bulma to not be pregnant yet but still have Bulla in Age 780
Bulla/bra is either forgotten or retconned or Bulma will reveal the secret afterwards.
See I thought that they may announce Bra during the tournament. Like the barrier goes down during Vegeta's fight and it heads toward Bulma and someone saves her, followed by Bulma screaming at the fighter for nearly killing her and her unborn child, followed by Vegeta fainting out of shock. Not that it would happen, but it would be hilarious.
You forgot to mention the Super Dragon Balls and Beerus and Champa's true ambitions with them (since Beerus left with a smirk on his face when he explained that there was another set of Super Dragon Balls in Universe 7 just like Universe 6)
One thing you might have forgot about this with the contradiction: When Super redone BoG, they changed the 4 years after Kid Buu thing to, if I remember correctly, a few months. So with that in mind, it already creates another plothole. Then again, as you said, Bulla may have been born in the time skip after Frieza.
