oh see now you done changed da game for your girl! you've given me victory today. I no longer feel cornrow illiterate or like its impossible for me to learn how to cornrow my hair. Youre the best! thank you
What a great and simple tutorial. I feel confident that I'll be able to do this style today as well as crochet (which I've never done). My braids are always so weak so I love the support that the threading technique gives. Thank you so much! Have a great day.- danyell
Lolade, I've been looking all over RUclips for a needle and yarn tutorial showing people doing the flat twist and cornrow techniques on their own head! Then I came across your video! Just what I was looking for, Sis! Since I can't flat twist or cornrow that well on my natural hair, both of these techniques would make it easier for me to use before installing crochet twists or braids! Thank you so much for posting this video! I'm gonna try this! 🙂
This is awesome, thank you for sharing this. You can even wear this under units but it is great as a style. I appreciate you. Be Blessed!! Thank you, Thank you, and Thank you.
like so many people highlighted here, but i need to say this again: only Black people can be so inventive, creative & smart. I usually watch BW doing their hair as I do mine just to feel like I'm hanging out lol (miss my friends). Subscribed immediately. Thank u
Omg thank you this was easy to follow! I used to braid my curly hair to keep it nice but I can’t braid with my hands anymore so my hair has been taking a hit ima try this out with some cotton yarn 🥰
I immediately subscribed when you said you would also be doing a take down. I have sjogrens and my wrist and fingers have been extreemly sore. Thank you!!❤
Wow this makes so much sense. This is probably want celebrity hairstylist do to their clients hair. I feel like I’ve just learned a hack. This is really cool
Beautiful as always ☺️ I found your channel through a flat twist video a few years ago, and it's grown so much 💕 Can't wait to try this hairstyle as well 😄😄
Great Tutorial! I will be trying this as I wear flat twist all the time and yes with the bulkiness, but I would like to try it with yarn. Thank you for sharing this even though I am late to the game! lol
Literally ordered 4 spools of hair thread abd needles. I putting in twosts but the shampoo broje my hair off. So now i cant use my rubberband method. So excited to do this thank you for doing the take out.
Thank you so much❤️I know I can do this now! I cannot cornrow on my own head to save my life even though I have practiced and practiced. But this I can do! I noticed you don’t use any products in this video (which I really like!); “everyone” uses Shine and Jam or Ecostyler and I really can’t use either of those. Do you ever use a gel for just the “body” of your hair as you twist? Not the edges? Thanks again sis! 😘
This is amazing! You make it looks so easy and doable. I have really short hair & I’m definitely gonna try it! How do maintain you hair with the yard it? Is it safe to be water products in your hair?
You always come with such fire styles, loved them both I was thinking about mixing the threaded flat twist with a lemonade/ added extension style do you think that could work? Instead of twisting the end of my section add extensions then twist the rest down.
Y'all this looks so easy, but I just tried it and I can't get the hang of it. It feels easier than regular flat twists, so maybe I'll figure it out eventually, but GIRL 😭 Send help, I'm stylistically challenged
I just have one question tho... when you're putting the needle in for the twists.. are you putting the needle in *straight* or in an *angle* to get the twist "look".
Thank you! You can slow down the speed of the video in the settings. Click the 3 dots on the upper right corner than click “playback speed” then you can choose how fast or slow.
I bought mine off Amazon. Type in blunt needle and it’ll have a couple of selections to choose from. Idk if they sell it in stores, but I felt it was easier just to get it online.
Great video. Don’t forget to grease or oil the thread before to reduce friction, which can cause breakage.
@Tomika. Thanks for the tip.
Only WE can come up with such creativity. Love this tutorial, closeup is crazy good. Thanks Ms Lolade!
Right so beautiful
I don’t understand why everything has to be about race…
Racist and insecure.

why tf r u even on here?
This has been around forever with threading hair. It started in Africa. Threading is also used to stretch the hair..
oh see now you done changed da game for your girl! you've given me victory today. I no longer feel cornrow illiterate or like its impossible for me to learn how to cornrow my hair. Youre the best! thank you
This is amazing. Now I will be able to cornrow mine and my daughters’ hair
Thank you. The easiest and simplest video on RUclips ❤
Glad it helped! 💛
Flat twist looks easier for me to try. Thanks
I instantly pressed like because of that smile❤❤

Girl, that’s exactly what I was thinking. No other race of women is doing hairstyles like this. I’m just amazed at how creative us black women are!
This is beautiful! I don’t know how to cornrow, but I am definitely going to try to learn. I need to learn more styles! Thank you for sharing this!
This is a whole art!
Nice presentation, very detailed. 👍🏾✨

Thanks so much for sharing your technique. I'm definitely going to practice this!
This is so cute. I think I’m going to add curls to make it bohemian like. Maybe add color.
Hello, great video. I'd like to know how long can this style last? Thank you
Thank you soooo much. This was very helpful
nice video!!! just a question, how do you tie it up behind the head? also, is this solid enough to use for crochet??
Thanks for the video.

I had an idea, but, you broke and slowed it down perfectly. I’m a teacher who learns from modeling.
Thank you thank you thanks that's why I love this in slow motion it was so helpful I will subscribe. Have a blessed day in the Lord Jesus
Great video and your instructions made me order acrylic yarn from Amazon!! thank you

Great job and thank you
Amazing. But what do you use for your hair it looks healthy
🥰
Love it! Thank you for sharing! 🌻
Hi! Are thread twists safe for swimming/hair washing? Ive been curious about thread twists as a swim-safe low tension style 🥲
Woah, THANK YOU!😍😍😍
I just have one question tho... when you're putting the needle in for the twists.. are you putting the needle in *straight* or in an *angle* to get the twist "look".
When I put the needle through the section, I did put it in a slight angle. Nothing to dramatic just slightly 😊
@@LolaFashola_ THANK YOU SO MUCH🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 I was trying to figure that out❤❤
my fast time but hv linked it dia wawo nice
Did you knot the yarn at the end, before crocheting?
Not even 60 sec in the video I’m subscribing
How did you thread the needle? Do you make a knot around the needle hole so it doesn't come off?
How long does this style last?
So awesome and beautiful
Amazing
Thanks!!
I am going to make my hair😂😂😂❤
Is it possible to use the flat twist technique with weave 🧵 thread instead of the 🧶?
You can try and see!! Let me know how it goes 😄
Great Video!!
I can't get the first stitch. I need more!!
How think is your thread & where did you get the needles. Is there a video of how you take it out yourself?
Pode fazer então cabelo curto?? Amei fiou lindo
Great videos, thank you so much for your content!! What type of thread is this and where can it be purchased?
It's 100% acrylic and she got it at Walmart.
I'm not sure what you were doing with your hair while doing the twist. Were you twisting it?
Lovely! (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤ How long did you leave them in before the take down?
❤❤❤Thank you!
What kind of yarn did you use? Acrylic?
Yes 😊
Very nice
It would have been nice to actually see how you put the yarn in the needle. Did you tie the yarn at the end just like when you are sewing?
😲
Is this was tension than 2 strand flat twist?
How long it can last with this method?
Can u do this with hair thread?
Hi Lola, please I will like to understand if it’s the same thread in the needle that I will put in the middle of the hair?
Please kindly respond🙏🏾
Yes
Do you use different color
So does it matter what Kind of yarn you use?
Wow it's beautiful, but i wish u can do little bit slowly👌
Thank you! You can slow down the speed of the video in the settings. Click the 3 dots on the upper right corner than click “playback speed” then you can choose how fast or slow.
Pls how can I get the needle?
Please could you please tell where you bought this type of needle? Thanks
I bought mine off Amazon. Type in blunt needle and it’ll have a couple of selections to choose from. Idk if they sell it in stores, but I felt it was easier just to get it online.
What kinda thread is it ?
I can only dream 🥴😂❤️
Nice video but you’re a beautiful Queen😍
Are these okay to do in winter
Yes! Especially because it’s a form of protective styling
thanks 🙏🙏🙏
What needle is use for this process?
O Seun sweetie ❤️
Ko t’ope 💛🤗
Can I install crochet locs on needle yarn cornrows? I can't find an answer anywhere..😢
I saw a lady do it online, personally I have not tried crochet locs. I just thread my natural hair.
