My Mav XLT AWD 4k tow in sport mode through the mountains is so much fun! It totally makes a difference. If you have an FX4 version you NEED to get forscan for these drive modes.
I would say sport mode in the Hybrid Mav is just more responsive and peppy. Where as in normal mode you have to push the go pedal more to get the engine involved. Eco mode even more than normal when driving around in local traffic conditions. Flooring it from a stop I can see there being no difference between the modes.
@brendandrives I've had mine working with sport mode for awhile now and it doesn't. I was hoping that the steering ratio would change since it's electric but it doesn't.

My Geo Metro has a sport button that is also the AC off/on and it definitely works.
Is says it changes the steering too. Is that actually true?
Mmmmmaybe a bit heavier but its not able to add more feel so I don't count it as a meaningful change.

In what city in Mexico do you live? I lived in Puebla Mexico for 5 years, from 1995 to 2000. I would go back in a heart beat.
