Matthias, Thrust, Thrust, Thrust. I'd encourage anyone including Lefeet to specify what pulling power its scooters have in a way that consumers can understand and use to compare with other products e.g. Suex, Seacraft, SubGravity etc. Lefeet use Kgf (a measure of force) and Suex use Newtons. Converting between the two we can see that a typical Suex Scooter (as well as my own Bonex Reference RS) can deliver 330N of force which is equal to 33.6kgf - this is over 4 x the thrust of the Lefeet S1 Pro. Combine that with endurance - the Suex and Subgravity scooters have typical ranges >10kms (approx. 2 hrs) so there's a world of difference between 'scooters' and DPVs - one that's worth noting GIVEN THE PRICE POINT of the Lefeets. (BSAC Advanced Instructor and TDI MODII Trimix Rebreather diver)

Interesting. I'm also new diver but scooters sound fun and interesting not to mention being useful for work.

Very interesting, Matthias. I’ve owned a US made “Pegasus Thruster” tank mounted DPV for the past 12 years & back then took it to the Red Sea & the Maldives, but at a weight of nigh on 7 kilos it’s a struggle to include the “Thruster”, camera equipment plus diving gear and keep within airline baggage limits without incurring hefty monetary excess weight penalties.
Gone are the days when 15-20 years ago many airlines flying to diving destinations would give us an extra 5 or 10 kilos for free! At about a third of the weight of my “Thruster” I’d be sorely tempted to buy one (or even 2) of these modern technology devices if they’re as good as you imply, especially if they can also charge batteries for a drone or u/w video lights etc.
On your upcoming this April U/W Video Workshop in the Maldives you mention there’ll be the possibility to try out different examples of Divevolk gear, so what are the chances of you having a word in the ear of LEFEET to supply a device or two for interested customers to try out on this upcoming trip? I for one might be tempted to place an order for 1 or 2 if they’re as impressive as you suggest, so how about it?

I have used the S1 several times. I would guess the reason the S1 “starts” slowly is because of cavitation of the propellor. The real issue no one is talking about is the noise level. It is very noisy.
