I had some killers that lived right up the street from me in high school. They brutally murder another neighbor. It's mortifying finding out that someone that you see regularly has done something like that.
My mom was just telling me a couple of days ago about a story she'd seem on one of her true crime shows. She was like, "You ever heard of a music group called High Five?", and I had to laugh because I remembered this story from DT.
I thankfully never knew him, but my best friend went to high school with a kid who murdered his parents and two younger brothers. They weren't friends but shared several classes and social groups. It happened just a few streets away from me. He killed them over the weekend, went to school on Monday, then pretended like he found them when he went home. He was only 16 at the time, his brothers were like 9 and 6 maybe? And he's never given any kind of motive or shown any remorse in the decade+ since.
I just found out the other day that my grandma was acquaintances with Emitt Till. Her brother was an actual friend of his though. Said he was supposed to go see family that day.
I've never known any personally but I went to high school with a couple kids who robbed and killed an old lady when they were 17. Also, Linda Kasabian was born in the same town I've lived in my whole life.
So I fucked up way back in 2007, spent a little time in jail, met a guy, he seemed okay, kept to himself, seen a few times that he got the shit beat out of him. Turns out, he was dating a 15yo girl with a kid while he was in his 20's. Snorted a line and beat a infant to death
The Hi Five story is f#*king insane. I remember watching True Crime Daily's synopsis of him and his brother murdering their wives. I hate that Ill listen to two of their tracks from time to time
My father was once friends with a guy back in the 90’s who decapitated a girl and left her head in a Port-a-potty. He’s been in prison for years now, good riddance, but wow. My mom said she only met him a few times but he gave her the creeps every time and she knew something wasn’t right. Happened right outside St. Louis around 1997-1998, I was young so I don’t remember the exacts. I can’t imagine my mom was very happy when she found out my father was friends with a guy who killed a little girl while they had a young daughter at the time (me) themselves.
I didn’t know him personally but I went to school with the stoneman douglas school shooter..before he went there in whispering pines which was a behavioral school. Always quiet and had his head down.
That is crazy but to go to school with a famous singer from a classic r&b group is something but to be known as a killer is really crazy and his brother too damn
Being from bad part of the United States I have known quite a few. Three in particular come mind one I played football with in middle school with, he grew up and killed 3 people. When I was playing football with him at the time he seemed like a good kid quiet but nothing that screamed murder. Another kid I grew up with in high school murdered his 70 year old parents because he was high on meth. Looking back I feel like the guy was more poor than myself and others growing up and became a drug addict. Last person I knew was a person I hung out with more then others who would always brag about being in a gang I was dumb so idk why I hung out with him. Well myself and other friends saw on the news that he and another person had shot two 14 year olds in the back of the head. Keep in mind the person I knew was only 17 at the time of committing murder.
I've seen an "Unsung" on Hi-Five, and, I swear...one of the members looks like Billy Brooks with hair. It's not him, but they do look similar. It's the same member that they kicked out of the group.
When I was three, I lived in some shady ass apartments that had mostly of Mexican families and their migrant relatives and Klansmen. There were two kids I used to hang out with all the time, but my mom had a bad feeling about them. Turns out she was right cause they went to prison. I don't know what one of them did, but the other is currently still inside for murder. I see where I get my intuition from 😅
