    *** Why Hunt Hogs? ***
    My journey into wild/feral hog hunting started like many others living in rural communities. I didn't start hog hunting for fun or sport... I did it because I had to. My father-in-law started me on this path several years ago when he asked me to help out with a problem. You see, hogs cause millions of dollars of damage and destruction each year in rural communities and our situation was no different. Hogs were destroying our land, our family's land, and the land our family tree farming business. The vast majority of hunting videos that you see on this channel are hogs, boars and sows, taken from family land... this problem is personal for me. We have had hogs come as close as 20 feet from my front door, and having 2 small children at home and knowing how aggressive and dangerous hogs can be, getting rid of the problem was a safety concern. This is why when people ask how I got into hog hunting... my answer is always "I didn't get into it because I wanted to, I started doing it because I had to!". It's a personal fight and struggle...
    __________________________________________________
    *** Why Hunt Coyotes and Predators? ***
    Coyotes and Predators, similar to hogs, cause financial stress for many families in rural communities. Coyotes kill livestock, plain and simple. Ranchers have battled coyotes killing cattle since the early days of ranching and it costs them dearly. Cattle ranching is a business, the cows aren't pets, every time they lose a calf to a coyote those families lose a paycheck. Cattle ranchers hate coyotes just as much as Farmers hate hogs! I hunt coyotes to protect the livelihood of my friends and neighbors that depend on their cattle business to feed their family...

    Hey mate, I appreciate all of you thermal vids including the late night vision show. Very indepth and factual. I'm from New Zealand and use to have the older trail xp50 lrf but sold it due to not much use but there are definitely a lot of newer names on the scene. I'm back in the market for a scope and handheld. Iray and nvision look like great quality and affordable for their image. Do you happen to send internationally? As the prices in NZ get hiked up quite a bit not to mention only suppliers dealing with pulsar or atn. Cheers, Dan

    Rico 384 vs. Super Hogster for hunting coyotes in North Dakota, which route would you recommend? Either one would definitely have an external battery pack attached...and will have a separate handheld scanner. Visibility is literally measured in miles during the daylight....very flat, very open country, very little trees or anything else like that

    As you were mentioning who the scope would be good for, you kept getting closer and closer to describing me. Over corn. Ladder stand. Old fart with bad eyes. I figured your next sentence was going to mention my name specifically! 🤣
    I think this will be a great line of scopes. Love the warranty and the promise of speedy service. I won’t mention names but some other companies could learn from this!

  • @audieladd2476

    I'm just wondering if the iRays are going to start developing issues like the Pulsars not holding zero? It took a while with the Pulsars until they had a few "miles on the clock." The iRays are rated up to 300 win mag and Pulsars to 375 H&H. Will they even be as robust as the Pulsars? Having said that, the Trijicons are only rated to 308 Win. Id love to see a review on the Canadian GSCI TI-GEAR S. 50 cal recoil rating and uninterrupted viewing. It automatically NUCs without the stop starting and no degradation of image quality. Sounds pretty incredible?

    • @HansETX
      @HansETX  3 года назад

      I'm not familiar with GSCI but that does sound pretty awesome. No thermal brand is without some small minor issues but for iRay to implement a 5 year and 5 business day repair or replace guarantee shows that they are committed to customer assurance. Thanks for watching!

    • @audieladd2476
      @audieladd2476 3 года назад

      @@HansETX Yeah, that does sound like a great warranty. GSCI has a 7 yr limited warranty. I think the "limited" only refers to the germanium glass because they have to pass on the glass manufacturers warranty. Thanks for replying Hans. Good Hunting.

    • @randomidiot8142
      @randomidiot8142 3 года назад

      Sounds like optics manufacturers need to stop rating by caliber and move to rating how many G's it can handle, or something along the lines of vibration Hz/energy. Ex, had a 5.56 AR with really annoying recoil. Super sharp but not heavy. Switched buffers and it was a light push. Same caliber, same gun, slightly different configuration, night and day difference in recoil. Are the trijicons rated for .308 bolt action recoil or SCAR recoil? They're both .308 but one has a rep for eating optics and shaking itself apart. Is the 300 mag a 15 pound rifle with an aggressive brake? Is the 375 a 9 pound walking rifle or is it 13 pounds?

    No disrespect your game deserves clean kill better accuracy from you. You need to get some training in offhand (I have no idea why standing is called offhand). At only 50 you are moving way too much. I know 90% of shooters shoot better than 90% of shooters but @50y you should be swinging to shoot within 8” and steady inside of 2”.
    For reference Marines shoot open sights on a 12” bullseye at 200 & 300y.
