Hi Mira , New subscriber here. I am so proud of all you have accomplished. Just keep going. Someday share with us your completed pages or even your process when you scrapbook. Mira u have so much paper that if u donate u probably won't miss it same goes for the books u probably have duplicates and will not read have of them again .
Hi, I just discovered your channel and was drawn to it, since I have been working toward organizing and decluttering my craft room and all my craft supplies. When I began, I read a lot of books on the subject, and in doing so, I made a realization. Most people who write books about decluttering and organizing are already organized and have no idea how unorganized people think or how their brains work. We really need someone who has been able to work through their own mess and figured out how to get organized and uncluttered despite their own tendencies. Since you are a writer, maybe you should be the one to write a real book on the subject.
So impressive what you have done. Energy and overwhelm ebbs and flows are so part of the process. And I don't think any of the money you spent was wasted--you enjoyed shopping for the items, buying them, looking at them, now passing them on. Your approach to buying, inventory and maintenance is changing, and that will go on for a long time. It is so cool to watch you work through the thoughts and feelings. Thank you for sharing.
"I lost the money long ago when I spent it on the item". That's a word of wisdom! Maybe that can help me give away stuff! Because I always think, well, I don't like it but I spent money on it (but the money is long gone...)
You've done a fabulous job! I am a ladybug :) Love my stuff, I just don't want to see it. I put my things mostly in clear bins inside large armoirs and the closet that my husband took out the hanging bar and put shelving in. Once the doors are closed I'm happy!
I've noticed that people who are not crafters don't understand that you have to go through your paper. My daughter just wants to pick up a stack of scrapbook paper and get rid of it. But she doesn't understand my need to go through it first. It doesn't help I'm a doll collector too so I have so many I need to go through. I have an especially hard time to get rid of them. I do wood crafts scrapbooking. Dolls!!! Drawing painting sewing. I collect miniatures. It's unreal. My husband has always been so understanding. He has never been upset about it thankfully. But it's all in the craft room Which was a garage at some point. I love clear bins I changed all of mine out a few years ago. I have to see what's in them!!! You're doing great❤❤❤❤❤!!!! Thank you for taking us along!!!
Mira! What an amazing result already! To transform this room in such a short time, being able to make so many decisions and also not being afraid of getting help to do all of this! This is huge :) I love the magnetic boards that Bonnie hung up next to your desk.
Be very proud of yourself. You are doing an awesome job. I get it. I have it and I keep getting it so you are one step ahead of me so keep on moving girl. Be proud of yourself. You’re getting it out.🌈🕊❤️💯🙏🏻
I bet a bunch of your followers (especially the paper loving variety) would love to purchase “grab bags” of supplies from your donation pile… just a thought. Not so much about recouping costs, but maybe that money could go toward your decluttering journey and storage. ❤
Fantastic results! I am tidying up my craft room with your videos on to spur me on to get the job done, a litle bit at a time. Thank you for sharing your journey. Off to watch the next video! ❤❤❤❤
Good job! I moved from a 3 bedroom apartment filled to the brim of craft stash. I donated nearly half and moved the rest into 2 storage units while living temporarily at my sister’s. 7 months ago I moved into a one bedroom apartment & had emptied it he storage units and it was floor to ceiling wall to wall of stuff. I was able to unpack & donate several car loads but I still have way too much. Currently going through another round of purging but coming up with less stuff to donate. I need to come to your realization that I can let go because it’s a hot mess! Giving myself some grace as I discovered late last year I was suffering minor heart attacks & had to have 2 stents put in and I had cataracts and recently had surgery to take care of them. I also have a senior dog who I’m trying to give his best life to. Hang in there and I’ll catch up to you soon!
I'm so excited for you to have this happy space for you to create in. You probably already know this but give yourself a "self by date" for your discards. It's impeding on your day to day living while it's still in the house so find a way to get it out quickly and if that isn't quick enough find a different way even if it isn't what you would consider ideal. Sometimes we just need it gone so you can turn your focus onto things that are relevant to you now and not something that you've already mentally let go of.
Hi found your videos last night. You have motivated me so much. You have done so well, talking so much sense to help me make decisions in my scrap room. Keep up the good work.
For me, when I decluttered my craft area, I trashed 2/3 of all my supplies and tools... literally in big huge black trash bags and bankers boxes, straight in the dumpster... yes, I know, horrific to everyone I have told this to and seen me do it... but I tried decluttering to people I know, regifting, selling, donating... all with their own set of huge problems... TBH I just needed a restart and I needed those things gone, die-cutting machines, silhouette, vagabond, dies by the 100s, 12x12 by the banker's boxes, 6x6 at least 200 pads... and so much more... I knew that money was gone and I didn't have the energy or time to find places for all the stuff to go. So for me, bagged up, boxed up, and straight to the dumpster... I don't regret any of it. And now I have exactly what I wanted... A clean, functioning, newly designed crafting area, all with new furniture and all the supplies and things I love... in perfect neat order. I am a Bee, and once I understood that, it made it so easy to see that I needed order to craft and create. One thing I did learn from decluttering and watching your journey, is I need to not buy anything new, unless and until I have used up that supply... Good luck and I can't wait to see your crafting room complete.
Wow yes this horrifies me as well 😢 the buy nothing groups on Facebook would have been perfect. I know sometimes it is the only option people have, but it still makes my heart sad. I always hope these experiences teach people to buy less in the future.
@@amara560 I had almost 20 years on design teams and about 30 years of crafting... so things pile up, but as I said... I needed to declutter fast ... I don't regret any of it, as I now have the crafting space I love.
Doing this sucks, but I did the same thing when we bought a house and moved. I hated it, but I had done the organizing and the donating and the trying to sell and I just needed it to all be gone for a fresh start. I had to trash items that the old owner left at our new house too and I felt guilty for that, but sometimes it just needs to be done. The money is spent, you did what you could, and you hopefully learn from it so you won't have to do it again.
I was watching you intently, while you sorted all the papers. I had an 💡 idea for you with donations... around school time, you could donate to teachers or make up some kits, for back to school donation resources 🙂
Whoah, you moved a whole mountain there!! What a gorgeous crafting space, you are doing an amazing job! 🏆 Decluttering can stir up emotions, and you decluttered a LOT. Allow yourself grace to 'decompress' after. Lols not more storage, less stuff!! 💖💖 The room might become the containing boundary for all the creative and crafting things?
I’ve helped a friend declutter (we are currently at 2026 items gone!!) but she finds it easier to give/sell items when she hears how much someone else is excited to receive the item. She is using the motivation of if I store it, it keeps someone else from enjoying it!
Norma here First let me say that your craft room is lovely. It’s large, bright and built for organizing all the supplies you use while scrapbooking. You certainly have an over abundance of materials though. I love to craft and dabble into all kinds of mixed media projects. I paint on all types of surfaces including rocks. I decoupage and stencil. I have tons of supplies, but not even 1/16th of the amount you have. I just don’t have a space large enough. You all are doing an awesome job of decluttering and organizing. You’re doing a great job of getting rid of stuff too. When all is said and done, you will probably still have more than you’ll ever use, but you’ll have the perfect spot to relax, unwind and do what brings you joy. Colt snd Clay are great company for you. They bring you so much joy and laughter.
Mira, I have a craft room on a scale similar to yours and have been scrapbooking and cardmaking since 2000, so there are SO MANY things you sorted in your video that I recognize and can name! It cracks me up to see DSP go by and say ‘Oh, that’s SU’s Raspberry Lemonade!’ which is SO old and it’s crazy that I recognize it, but I do! It’s so fun to see your crafty space reappear and I’m so very proud of your efforts to sort and let things go. I too want to keep EVERYTHING, but at some point we have to recognize the limits of the space available. Keep it up girlfriend and get back to scrapping those memories! I practically drooling, I want to come and help you so much! Have fun!
I always love when I am able to spot familiar items in other people's scrapbook spaces. I love that you know the name that I have long forgotten, LOL. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Mira I absolutely love your laugh 😂 and you are so insightful! Some of the stuff you said really helped me when thinking about the past and accepting it. Thank you! 😊
August 2024. 3 of us live in a 2BR apartment near Chicago. If I haven't used a craft item in a year, I pass it on to another crafter. Most of my supplies were free or used anyway. There's a food pantry that takes craft items and a seniors group at a local church. Tina, Al's wife
I have a strong habit of assuming objects have their own feelings 😅. As a result when I donate things, I feel like they will be happy to be used and enjoyed instead of hidden away, so it's a positive thing when I declutter.
I like your basket idea. Yes shop your store for the supplies you need to do your project and when your done you can put back anything that is not needed ❤
Oh Mira, you are a force of nature. Look at that room, what a breez of fresh air the scrapbook room has become. Very, very , V E R Y PROUD of you. And i love the idea of you circling the room with a basket in search of items to use: it will be like go shopping every time. Much love and respect from me. Cheers from Italy. Dan
Great job Mira, Bonnie, and Alli!! Your craft room and your crafting desk look beautiful and cheerful! I am so happy for you Mira, that you now have a clear space where you can create joyfully. I was trying to see if you had a little table for your sewing machine. We are so PROUD of all your hard work and countless hours of sorting, it is so worthwhile!! congratulations. We LOVE you and we LOVE your channel♥♥♥♥♥
Wow, that's not the same room as the one at the beginning! A huge accomplishment by all three of you. Really good to hear the joy and enthusiasm back in your voice, Mira x
You can call schools, daycares, or nursing homes and see if they would like craft donations. That way it doesn't go to waste and you feel your helping people out! Easier to get rid of things when it's helping someone. Can also post for free on internet and whoever wants it can pick it up (no buy groups).
Loving Bonnie in front of your camera so she’s one of the weird angles 😂 Decluttering is both mentally & physically exhausted. Cut yourself some slack ❤
WOW, WOW, WOW! You 3 ladies have transformed that room. I am just in awe of how you powered through when seeing how many decisions you had to make. You’ve made SO much progress since your first video - in your home and in how you make decisions about your things! I hope you are feeling VERY proud - we are so very proud of you!
hello. a new subscriber. I loved seeing the organization of your room, I have a very small room because I'm starting with scrapbooking, and I'm a messy little girl, but watching your video I'm going to be careful with my few things to organize as I get new material or as gifts. , but I will be careful to keep it organized. Thank you very much for this teaching. I'm barely 50 years old, but 2024 is my first time with this new hobby of scrapbooking. I will go watch your scrapbooking videos to learn techniques and ideas. Best regards from Costa Rica 🇨🇷
I'm really enjoying the organization videos. I used to be a big scrapbooker and in the thick of it I so enjoyed collecting scrapbook supplies but got overwhelmed quickly to the point where I made a rule for myself. I could only buy products for the page I was working on. Because there were so many cute or amazing products it was easy to get too much quick lol. If that makes sense. Right now I have a tiny crafting space that gets overwhelmed easily because the flow of the room does not work for what I do, which is everything lol. ADD Crafter over here. I'm excited to get in there and do a complete makeover in the month of May. Keep up the amazing work! And thanks for sharing your journey! Very inspiring.
My craft room is about 10‘ x 10‘ and I view that as a container. This keeps me from buying because I don’t have the room. I don’t put any craft items anywhere but my craft room. I organize, I keep it clean because I don’t have the room to craft otherwise. This the best advice I could give anyone. Keep up the good work!
I think “Mira” is short for “Miracle”!!! You’ve done a spectacular job so far. I have no doubt that you’ll finish strong. I loved your decluttering questions: “Do I like it enough to buy it again? Would I miss it?” I’m going to use these in the future as I continue my decluttering journey. Thank you, Mira, for being a constant source of inspiration and encouragement! ❤❤❤
Wowza Mira! You weren't kidding when you said you are scrapbooker. I am not sure I was prepared for exactly what that meant. If there were Scrapbooking Olympics, I think you would win the gold medal in every event! Look at that inviting space now! All your talent and creativity just willing and ready to be unleashed! I am so impressed with your dedication to this hobby. I cannot believe all those albums on the shelves are like novels you have created of your life! What a legacy to leave your loved ones. Bravo to Bonnie and Ali for helping you get back to this important part of your life in this wonderful usable place!
Well Done! That was a big job and you did it! 👏 You let go of a lot. The room looks really good so far it will look great in the end. Thanks for the video.
Wow what an amazing transformation! I also am a paper crafter, I make junk journals so I use all of the same things you do. My craft room is in need of organizing and "thinning" so much. I recently moved and am also using the Master bedroom as my crafting space, but I have to use it as my sewing and knitting/crochet space as well. It's taking me literally months to try and figure out how to arrange the room but I feel pretty good about it now and have a few more organizers to purchase to be able to fully move into my room. I loved watching your process on your channel, and the other channel too. So cool to get the other perspective! I think I learned a few things I can use in my room, thank you so much for sharing!
I live in the city and rather than donating my decluttered items that aren't worth selling I put them into a box, sign it with 'for free' and put it on the curb. Sometimes I even like to watch from high up thorgh my appartment window what happens, people stopping by, digging through it and taking the stuff they want or need with a smile on their face. It always cheers me up and it usually takes only two or three hours until the box is completely empty. It's very common where I live.
Wow! Mira, you have come so far since your first decluttering videos. You are more positive and more confident in your decision making. So happy for, and proud of, you! And what a difference in the scrapbook room - you’ll really be able to enjoy your hobby again. Keep it going - you’re wonderful! Oh, and I am a combination Bee/Ladybug!
Hi 👋 Mira. ❤ I been watching all the videos of all ur help and decluttering ur craft room. Looks amazing. I wish I had just a box of your craft supplies. Ur so creative and u have so much amazing things. I do scrapbooking. And I have never seen so much amazing things. Love ❤️ love ❤️
It’s great you’re having realizations and epiphanies about the amount of things you have in your home. You got rid of a lot of stuff!! I would encourage you to keep your priority in mind: having a functional scrapbooking space. For me this would mean being able to easily find and access items, knowing where everything is, and being able to do the activity in that space. Also: that’s a great desk! Not sure why you would get rid of it. You may want to consider what it would require for all the items you have to be “contained” (eg on shelves and organized, off the floor). What percentage of items do you think you’d need to declutter in order to achieve your goal of functionality? You’re doing great!! Keep up the awesome work.❤
Omg congrats! I’m literally throwing away the bins I keep my crafts in. Enough is enough! I don’t want to see that amount anymore. No more containers unless it’s see through because my mind cannot fathom it being an unorganized mess.
Mira, I'm just so excited thinking about how EASY it will be to use this room once this project is done. If you're looking for alphabet stickers, you'll know where all of them are. Yes it might be several bins, but they will all be in those bins. You deserve to enjoy your things stress free❤
You need a rule that you never ever sign up for a subscription service for you or the pups or for leggings, food, scrap supplies etc. ever again. It causes an accumulation of stuff, not a collection of things you value. “That’s how they get you…” then decided not to get “got”. If you thoughtfully hand pick everything coming in to your home you will value and respect your items, and in turn, yourself and the space you share with two pups who can’t control their environment. ❤
Wow wow wow. What a huge transformation. At least you can use the room and continue the work. A huge congratulations on all the effort. Stay strong and look after yourself.
I love the new idea about shopping your room in a circle then returning what you didn't use at the end of the project. That gives me some thoughts too in my own space. Thanks again for continuing to share your journey!
I did a “lot” sale when I stopped scrapbooking. I put everything in one huge lot (a couple times) and posted it for sale on marketplace. My roller bag, pens, books, cutters… all of it. It sold fast! I definitely think about where things go and will wait to make sure things go to “good homes” sometimes to my detriment. 😬
I used to try to think of the perfect person to give something I wanted to declutter. Wow, that was a bad idea keeping me stuck. They probably don’t want or need it, either.
Your laughter is so contagious. I'm honest when I say you have way too much stuff. You're doing a great job. Try and think how much you will actually USE in your lifetime. That's how I think myself no matter what I buy.
Mira, I am in the process of resetting my craft room. I have pieced it together with old shelving and stuff I found on market places. It doesn't work for me. My paper for projects frustrate me in horizontal bins. So I am getting new shelving to store it vertically. I find it funny that everything you indicate isn't your style is mine.lol. You have blessed me in so many ways. The tone of your voice is so soothing. Not judgemental. Just you. I can't wait to see you continue to grow in your happiness as you reclaim your home.
😲 AMAZING! You guys have done a fabulous job!!! You definitely are doing such a great job going thru all your supplies. You seem to be doing really well with decluttering in here... Bonnie is amazing being able to come help you to get things decluttered. Can't wait to see what more you have to come... ❤❤❤
I've been on a long decluttering journey (about 5 years) and I'd now class myself as a minimalist, but I'm still a messy person lol, my husband describes me as a whirlwind, leaving choas where ever I go 😂 the difference now is that because we have so much less stuff we can tidy up within a few minutes rather than it being an all day task 🥰 just thought I'd share that if we are naturally messy we're always going to have clutter around us, it's just so much less stressful to deal with 🥰
This is where I want to be someday. I will still have my messes but I want to reduce what I have by a lot so the clutter can be easily tackled. Thanks so much for sharing your story.
Exactly ❤ it's a long journey but so worth the effort! I had alot of sentimental attachment to things and was a bit of a paperwork hoarder (still am a bit) due to some childhood experiences of financial issues with my parents. But I've just chipped away a bit at a time and will continue to have to make the same decisions to let things go as life continues 🙃 you are doing amazing and it's great to get to be a part of your journey with you ❤
I found this to be such an honest and truthful example of many scrap rooms! It was amazing to watch every minute so far! Keep up your good work. And thank you! We all have way too much!
Mira, you are doing amazing! I spend most of the videos laughing right along with you. I think a craft yard sale is a great idea! You could also donate some of the scrapbook stuff to an inner city school that could use it for art supplies that doesn't sell.
You are parting with so much. Amazing! 🎉. Remember to give yourself grace. Doing the process is what makes the long term changes. Be proud of your progress! But also let the container decide how much you can keep. Start with favourites, To paraphrase Dana K White, let the container, room , home be the guide to how much, and most important things in the container that is your home, is you and your cutie pie doggies, ❤
If you fill up a designated container, and find something worthwhile you want to keep, simply pull out and donate something less container worthy to out the found item in. You got this! It takes practice. ❤
It is amazing to see how you are sorting and letting go so much easier now. Good job! I sent a big box of donations to a scrapbooking group. It was easy to let go of the things I would never have used. I am fixing to do a second pass on all my craft items. A craft supply yard sale might be a great idea if you are up for it.
I feel your pain. I’m also in the process of “ letting go” and it’s hard….so very hard. You are an inspiration to me. You’ve shown me that it is possible and I’m not alone in my declutterring journey. Thank you for sharing. Good luck . (New subscriber)

buying wool, and knitting are also 2 separate hobbies.

...and collecting books is a different hobby to reading them....
Oh my gosh and I do all of those mentioned and cross stitch pattern collecting which is not the same as stitching.

You guys must live in a rural area. If I put something out on the curb with a 'free' sign it's gone in an hour 😁
C'est vraiment dommage car beaucoup n'ont pas les moyens d'acheter du matériel de scrap
I wasn't here waiting for this video. Noooo, not me 😅😁
RIGHT! Lol
Me either... 👀😂
You have such a lovely laugh❤. I so enjoy your videos 😊
lol.😅❤
I was watching you intently, while you sorted all the papers. I had an 💡 idea for you with donations... around school time, you could donate to teachers or make up some kits, for back to school donation resources 🙂
Whoah, you moved a whole mountain there!! What a gorgeous crafting space, you are doing an amazing job! 🏆
Decluttering can stir up emotions, and you decluttered a LOT. Allow yourself grace to 'decompress' after.
Lols not more storage, less stuff!! 💖💖 The room might become the containing boundary for all the creative and crafting things?
You have done such a great job with going through your scrapbook stuff. Thanks to Bonnie and Alli for helping you out too!!! Great video as always!
I’ve helped a friend declutter (we are currently at 2026 items gone!!) but she finds it easier to give/sell items when she hears how much someone else is excited to receive the item. She is using the motivation of if I store it, it keeps someone else from enjoying it!
Norma here
First let me say that your craft room is lovely.
Absolutely love your videos! I check in daily for new ones ❤
You are such a beautiful soul!!!❤Thank you so much 💗
Mira I absolutely love your laugh 😂 and you are so insightful! Some of the stuff you said really helped me when thinking about the past and accepting it. Thank you! 😊
August 2024. 3 of us live in a 2BR apartment near Chicago. If I haven't used a craft item in a year, I pass it on to another crafter. Most of my supplies were free or
used anyway.
So proud of you to acknowledge that you have an over abundance of items. That’s hard to admit for most of us ❤
I like your basket idea. Yes shop your store for the supplies you need to do your project and when your done you can put back anything that is not needed ❤
This room looks amazing!!!!! Excellent work from all of you, even Cole who helped move stuff around with his shenanigans 😊🎉
Good job!
Thank you so much!
I scrapbook too!!! I recognize some of that paper! 😊
Wow, that's not the same room as the one at the beginning! A huge accomplishment by all three of you. Really good to hear the joy and enthusiasm back in your voice, Mira x
Thanks so much!
You can call schools, daycares, or nursing homes and see if they would like craft donations. That way it doesn't go to waste and you feel your helping people out! Easier to get rid of things when it's helping someone. Can also post for free on internet and whoever wants it can pick it up (no buy groups).
I like your phrase, “epic sorting.” I need to do that, too.
I imagine inviting some friends over tea and crafting in this room and I Immediately wanna work on my crochet room
Yes! Do it. You won't regret it.
Loving Bonnie in front of your camera so she’s one of the weird angles 😂
Decluttering is both mentally & physically exhausted. Cut yourself some slack ❤
😊
WOW, WOW, WOW! You 3 ladies have transformed that room. I am just in awe of how you powered through when seeing how many decisions you had to make. You’ve made SO much progress since your first video - in your home and in how you make decisions about your things! I hope you are feeling VERY proud - we are so very proud of you!
Thank you so much!
hello. a new subscriber.
Daaaang! You have a whole scrapbook boutique and studio in your house! Wow!
Well done!
Way to go!!😃😃😃
Bravo to Bonnie and Ali for helping you get back to this important part of your life in this wonderful usable place!
wahou magnifique hate de voir la suite💓💓💯
Wow! Looks great
Keep up the awesome work.❤
WOW! Amazing job!!!🎉
These videos were Amazing!!! Makes me want to tear my scrap room apart! ❤
I would urge to to second guess having more storage in this room. It's already quite a lot.
Keep going! Your doing great. 😊
Great idea! ty for sharing.
Selling things as a lot is always a great way to get rid of stuff fast! I hope Mira will read this comment.
Oh my goodness Mira!! What a difference this will make for you!! I am so excited for you with this huge declutter and organization!
You are an inspiration to me ! And a rockstar! What a great job you are doing :)
Awesome! Great job!!❤
But I've just chipped away a bit at a time and will continue to have to make the same decisions to let things go as life continues 🙃 you are doing amazing and it's great to get to be a part of your journey with you ❤
You’ve got to feel so much joy for your accomplishment in this room! Congratulations!!!!! Cindy💗🌻
I found this to be such an honest and truthful example of many scrap rooms! It was amazing to watch every minute so far! Keep up your good work. And thank you! We all have way too much!
Thank you so much!
I always give my extra or unwanted craft/scrap booking items to my community elementary schools. They are so happy to have them ☺️
You sound so good and strong and happy today. Makes my heart happy.
Mira, you are doing amazing! I spend most of the videos laughing right along with you. I think a craft yard sale is a great idea! You could also donate some of the scrapbook stuff to an inner city school that could use it for art supplies that doesn't sell.
I am totaly with you!
Respekt!
That is an amazing achievement. Looking forward to the next visit to your scrapbooking room.
What a dream! This space is going to be magnificent!
Wow 😲 I can't believe the difference! You have all put so much work into that room and it's looking fantastic.
I am so happy for you to be getting your scrap room ready to scrapbook again.
Good job, Mira! I donated a lot of my art/craft/scrapbooking supplies to the activities director of a nursing home! She was thrilled!
Thank you! You can do it. Glad you're here!
