you know, someday I might have time to learn this in G, or even C tuning, but today is not it. I really needed to find this in Standard tuning. Not only did you save me a ton of time, but if I focus on those 3 strings you use most, dang, it sounds a LOT like the recording! Thank you very much for putting this out there.
I love this riff, to me it embodies that “driving-down-the-highway” 70s rock vibe - a decade I wasn’t around for, but my parents attest to being “groovy” and “far out”. I know one thing for sure, Bad Company rocks and I listened to the hell out of them in high school too and to this day. Great cover.

On the Original, The GREAT MIck Ralphs set a comping groove, laid out with creating spaces, then adding little different nuances to Keefs stuff, and JB here did not miss one of em--Great lesson JB yer the feller!!

Hi. First off thanks for the view and nice comment. I am playing this in standard tuning although I believe it was recorded in open C if I'm not mistaken. I have always played it in standard though. If you're talking about the opening chord here I could not tell you what it is other than it's hard for my stubby little fingers to fret comfortably.
Well, I was able to pick up that first cord by watching your fingerings. As for the standard tuning, I went and noodled around with it a bit and made some progress, which is cool because you don't need a second guitar for the lead fills. Thanks man, I appreciate your work!
you probably don't know that they tuned the guitars up to open C. otherwise there isn't any real way to play it unless you drop the A string to G, then you can use a single fret.
