  • In this video we will be taking a look at one of the brand new devices in Ableton Live 11.1, shifter. This is an updated version of the old frequency shifter effect with a bunch of new parameters.

    I actually love the slight granular feel you can get with the window control. A trick I love is adding an octave layer to mallets and plucks and having them be delayed slightly. Using a combination of shifter and align delay makes it super easy and much more interesting!

    Wow. Frequency Shifter always felt incomplete to me, but this seems like a huge timesaver. Can already imagine making freaky stuff with this. Would love to sample a spoken sentence and throw this on there. Immediate ideas! Also 3K sub milestone!

    every effect device needs a randomizer, i know you can viva macros thou it takes some work to assign each knob.

    I have owned ableton 11 since it came out and don't have this plugin in my DAW????? wtf. I own suite XD
