The crotch strap adjustment is underneath the infant insert. There are 3 slots to adjust the crotch strap but only one on the infant insert cushion. Once that is off you will see it’s adjustable! I just looked into it. 👍🏾 thanks for the review!

I’m obsessed with this car seat and wish it existed sooner! We Have diono radian 3rxt and every single feature on this car seat outperforms the diono. Threading, looks way more secure, adjustable angles. It’s crazy how much thought was put into this car seat.
We haven't tested out the Diono 3RXT but thanks for letting me know. This is a nice seat.
We got a diono for my middle child and now looking for a carseat for my last baby. I'm glad I found this review. This looks much better than the diono and more affordable. Aside from being slim the diono has not been my favorite car seat at all.
Could be wrong but I believe you said you used the LATCH buckles and the seat belt pass through method. Using both could cause the car seat to distribute crash forces incorrectly. On this seat it says do not use latch with child over 45lbs. In my opinion using the seat belt is the best method. This seat’s instructions also say use the seat belt method when using 3 seats in a row

Why is it that the one i got seem to push my kids head forward and it seems very uncomfortable for him , he is still rear facing and the carseat is reclines all the way. His head still seems to be pushed forward… any suggestion??

When you installed forward facing with the seatbelt, did you use the belt lock off? My manual says that's how you install forward facing with seatbelt.

I wanted to share a concern with this seat (Graco Slimfit3 LX) specifically--I have installed 4 other seats in at least 5 models of cars, and never had these types of challenges before, and am concerned that people may be installing an inherrently unsafe seat. Here is the concern: Even when I install the seat (rear facing) so that it does not move even a centimeter back or forth or sideways along the belt path, it still rotates to the side 45+ degrees with minimal to moderate lateral pressure applied to the top of the seat, and pops forward/ smooshing against the back seat of the car and becoming completely loose with a moderate amount of pressure applied pressing the top of the back of the seat towards the back seat of the car. I don't mean that it bends forward a little, I mean the bottom pops back and the face of the seat hits the back seat, leaving the entire seat very loose.
As I examine the mechanics of the car seat, the rear facing belt path is so close to the seat of the car and so tall, that I believe this is inevitable. When installed with shoulder belt, the seat rotates with any lateral pressure applied to the top, because the seatbelt acts as a wedge, facilitating rotational pressure. When installes with belt with shoulder belt and separately purchased seatbelt locks, it flips forward because the path is too close to the seat of the car. When installed with LATCH, it flips forward and/or rotates. I tried installing it center and sideboard in both a Scion XD and a 2014 Subaru Forester, and it had the same problem in both cars. I tried installing it at both tilt angles, same result. I wrote Graco 2 weeks ago (after buying 3 car seats), and haven't received a reply, except the initial generic acknowledgement that they have received the message and someone will get back to me.
I am worried that people will use this seat because it is secure along the belt path, according to the directions, and their children will be sent flying (with the seat) in the event of a rear-end or side or flipped car accident.
Again, it's not that I can't get this car seat to install properly according to the directions, it is that the "proper" install is not safe, at least in these 2 models of cars, in any configuration. I believe this is also likely true for other, possibly all, models of cars.

Though when I posted the same review/ concern on their website, highlighting that no one had yet gotten back to me, I received a notice within 24 hours that my review did not meet the standards for their website, and would not be posted (?!). Guess I won't be purchasing Graco again. Too bad, because it was my fav brand, but now I'm questioning all my baby products. I will let you know if there are updates, or Graco gets back to me!
I have this same concern, it's not safe! My son is old enough to be forward facing but I wanted to keep him rear facing for a little longer but I won't be doing that with this seat.
Does it do that with the clips or just with the shoulder strap method?

Awesome review. Just got to learn how to loosen the chest straps. I wonder if the seat is designed such that you need to lift up the headrest in order for the straps to be at shoulder level for the child ?
Ya, that's my challenge too. I'm going out to the car to lift the headrest and see if that does the job. Our infant is only 5 months but the lowest level if for a baby doll, not a human. Weird.

how is it the same seat but it goes up to 100lbs once in booster mode???
My best guess is that the weight limit for the harness straps (attached to the seat) can only handle so much. Once in booster mode, you're using the seatbelt from the car so the seat can handle more weight from the body in the event of a crash, since a vehicle belt can handle much more due to it being affixed to the vehicle itself.

It is made for newborns as well as bigger kids. Some other infant-only car seats are the Britax B-Safe, Chicco Keyfit and Graco Snugride Snugfit

Do these warning stickers burn their backs? I am told they do if left in carseats. Obviously you would not want to install and reinstall daily. Please let me know after your time of use! I want to avoid if it is truly burning or causing heat to the children while they sit in it.
We found that they make backs more sweaty but not that they burn. Although I guess in the right situation with the sun shining on them they could get that hot.
For any one who owns this or other Graco car seats with the ball level. Depending on road conditions how much does the ball rattle around? The rest of the car seat seems great but if that ball rattles around too much it would drive me crazy.

Can this be installed in the middle seat? And do you have to use the isofix?
Ours is!! Also, our car doesn't have that behind the seat strap anchor so we are not able to use that. Is that what you mean by the isofix?
Hi, I have a question. I have 6 year old, 1 year old and will soon have a newborn in a few weeks. I already have a slim fit car seat. I want to order two of these. should I move the car seat for the newborn to the middle seat? I have a Honda Crosstour.

If you're going to show a kid buckled in for a carseat review, you should have them buckled properly.

This seat is dangerous when installed rear facing. No matter how tight you strap the seatbelt, you can still push the child seat all the way back against the main seat backrest.
If you bought this seat, try it out yourself. Pretty bad.
Did you install with the clip system or the shoulder seatbelt system? What's the "main seat backrest"?
If installed RF you would install using the clips wouldnt you?
Decent review. As others have commented your child is buckled incorrectly and unsafely. If anything came from posting this review hopefully it was learning correct chest clip placement.

Your review was great btw however Graco is by far THE WORST baby manufacturer there is..... A company worth 11 BILLION dollars yet their products are so sub par. NOTHING IS EASY with this company. For instance this slim fit car seat belts is next to IMPOSSIBLE to remove.... Their swings are constantly breaking down...... Playpens with changers aren't even removable to wash and with 11 BILLION dollars let's put a dang zipper on the playpen pad like Chicco does so it's easy to wash. Come on now how much could a zipper possibly cost? Horrible manufacturer

What’s the difference between slimfit 3 and true3fit lx 3in1?
I honestly don't know. They look identical to me except for fabric.
