    That movement is normal mine in my ram does same thing I tugged the crap out of strap it won’t go any tighter I’m a big dude so I can push in good and pull hard. Seat still moves I don’t care for that but I’m probably being over cautious. Good video nice car too.

    Make sure you know the weight limit for the lower latch because all car seats have a weight limit for lower latch. So eventually you will have to use the seat belt to install the car seat.

    once your kid hits 45 lbs you have to use the seatbelt install with this seat, not LATCH. LATCH is not a more "permanent" install as you said, just a way to install the seat for kids under 45 lbs. Check your manual. I've seen what happens when LATCH fails for heavier kids.

    Hey man watching this like 2 years later cuz im planning on getting M4 and comparing the space for my young toddler like ours with a car seat in the back incase we need it, if the other car is taken and i need to pick her up from school/daycare.. seems like M4 got the most space! Thanks for video, btw, the one im looking at has same seats, im so surprised an M4 competition comes with partial cloth seats... im not a big fan of them, wondering how you like them, did you end up changing them?

      THE TOP TETHER IS NOT MEANT TO BE TIGHT?! can you explain further cuz I crank mine as tight as it gets and that just makes sense to me

    • @carlysuterlowe1554
      @carlysuterlowe1554 2 года назад +2

      It should be tight to the point that the slack is removed, but not tighter than that. It is a supplemental safety feature (a very important one!) but tightening it too much can interfere with the actual installation or make it seem more secure than it actually is. -cpst

    I'm sorry to tell you, but you have to lift the back seat headrest. Then place the strap in between the headrest and the top of the back seat. You don't put it over the headrest. I happen to purchase the same one for my granddaughter and I did it the right way, fix it and record another video so other don't make the same mistake.
