Is anyone else having trouble tightening the lower anchors? Its still loose in my car. Ive tighten it as much as I can but the base of the carseat still moves around a lot.
This has been my experience with all of Graco's product. Their anchors seem to be the issue.Can't tighten them enough. Unfortunately, I will be returning this product.
David Robbins I actually got it to tighten in both vehicles! 2012 Ford Fusion & 2015 GMC Sierra Crew Cab. You have to push your knee into the base to make sure it’s pushed back & pull the belt towards you to get it as tight as you can. (If that makes sense at all. Lol)
Graco needs to redesign the latch strap tightening system. The owner's manual DOES NOT SHOW what you do - removing cover and pulling strap straight up. You also have to push the release button while doing this. I am a 200-pound 6'4" man and to get the seat where it is tight and does not move is very difficult. I will be shopping for a better seat.
1:43 The angle of pulling the strap and pushing down the seat are the keys of tightening the seat. Don't ask me how I know that sh*t, I am in the hospital with wrist injury after many times of fails and one last success
One of the bottom tethers has no way to tighten making it seem loose and unstable i checked it on both of my cars different makes and years and could not tighten it properly on either i even used all my strength to tighten the back tether and still nothing.
It's horrible!! for anyone who just wasted an hour trying to tighten it like me, resulting in you coming to this video, just return it!!! not worth the ridiculous headache
Do u have an anchor point? If not u will need to get one installed by the dealer or find a seating position with one, or rear face to booster age? What car do u have?
This video did not help. Still had way too much wiggle room. I decided to just tighten all the straps first and then release them just enough until i reached the hooks on each side. I connected each side and put the seatbelt strap through the back holes. Doing it this way worked. I had no wiggle room and it was tight.
@@CristyCreates okay so use the bottom 2 anchors & top anchor OR after 45 weight use seat belt & top anchor correct? Basically its always a 2 way method?
Its not as easy as shown..none of these tighten easy..it reaches a level where it wont pull anymore..you have to really push down on the base with your knee and pray...I'm so tempted to return this...same goes for graco infant..they need new technology. .not everyone will be able to tighten this..you need some strength
This video is incredibly misleading. I spent over 2hrs trying to get this cheap seat to not move and it’s nearly impossible! Having gone from 2 Nuna Ravas that install is a breeze, this is very upsetting. Will be returning. Beyond not safe.

Just purchased this item earlier this morning and wasted 30 mins of trying to tighten the latch system. Horrible system and will return later today
I can't get the back and the seat to connect well. It just falls apart.
If no one helped you, i had the same issue and you have to pull the top/back fowards and it’ll click in place.

Why do you have to use the seat belt to install if child is more than 45 lbs?
Cause the latches won’t support the child’s weight in a crash

Awful design. The lower tethers will not tighten regardless of how hard I pull. Regret purchasing.

There is an area to pull the strap through the side of the seat (9 o’clock area). I just realized it and it has made it so much easier to install!
Yeah I tightened this until I was blue on the face and it wiggles 6 inches from side to side. Garbage product.

About That tether strap, my back seat is a row seat, not a single seat, so is there another way to secure it please?

So when you use the lower anchor you don’t need the seatbelt either ?
No you use the anchors or the seatbelt, but you cant use both.
Once they outgrow anchor weight you will have to use seatbelt install.

I hate this car seat. The belts are almost impossible to tighten, and seems too loose

Sit on it while you're tightening it. I promise it will work I've done it with every car seat I've had

This is easier done while the seat is out the car but a diff story when trying to install while in the car. Smh no help here for me
This chair should be illegal. I dread when my in laws remove it from my car and then try to come pick up their grand kid.
Horrible chair. Impossible to strap down properly because the anchors are too high.
