Great video! Groningen really is a hidden gem! If you ever plan on visiting our city again, we’d love to welcome you at PJs Hostel. We’re right in the heart of the city, making it the perfect base to explore everything that Groningen has to offer!
4:30 in honour of "The Old grey One" or in Groningen's dialect 'Olle Grieze, no buildings in the city are allowed to be built taller then the tower. Groningen will never have skyscrapers. So the sun can get in to the innercity streeets aswell.
Lucky me i get to visit Groningen once in a month as I live in Oldenburg Germany very close to this beautiful quaint Dutch City, ideal for shopping or just to perambulate.
4:35 here you shw the Der Aa Tower, NOT the Old Grey.. TWO different churches, Der Aa Tower is 67 metres high, where the Grey one is 97 metres, and no other building is allowed to be higher to honour it. And it doesn't have a rooster on top, but a horse, Saint Martin's horse..he who cut is cloack in half and gave it to a beggar to keep himself warm. In medieval times, the Martini church ( church connected to the Old Grey, once held the arm of John the Baptist)
1:19 few years ago ranked in top 5 trainstations in Europe, no other Dutch stations where mntioned in the list, , with that, THE most beautyfull trainstation in the Netherlands, since it is kept as original as possible. The ceiling was hidden for many decades, and is now exposed again, restored. Paper mache it is made of, from 1896.
I noticed some mistakes about the year of opening of the Groninger Museum (on its current location) and the Forum. The (Groninger) Forum is not my favorite place, although the roof has magnificent oversights on Groningen. Somethings I miss about Groningen... are "het Noorderplantsoen" and the rest of the province...
Legendary/mythical(myth means pertaining to the divine and now you think myth means something false) Palma de Mallorca is the most visited city per square mile in Europe & the second most visited city in the world per square mile & in 2023(most tourists ever in the history of Mallorca)it is expected to be the most visited city in the world per square mile.Look it up.......

Groetjes 😀
0:40 what?
No its not the biggest province in our country. That Gelderland, and Noord-Brabant is our second biggest
Thanks for your the info ❤️🇳🇱
