- Sandford Church accommodation bookings via airbnb at approximately $230 per night. A great stay to access the Western District of Victoria over the coming weeks.
Sandford hamlet is definitely worth walking around to discover the long forgotten history and buildings. The locals are great too!!

Looks gorgeous. 🥰
@danielalynch3871. It was a great stay and a relaxing location, convenient to other towns too.
We hope you continue to enjoy the channel.

what a beautiful idea, and re-purposing of a beautiful old church/site for a AirB&B. LOVE the re-use of the pews/benches, as well as the shapes of the doors and windows. I love old churches. Beautiful weather for your filming too! thank you for including your fur-babies too, so glad they can travel with you... and loved seeing the Irish Setter, having grown up with one for so many years. I never see the breed much today ... have a great week, Cheryl!! 😊
Good Morning Jacqueline!
It is so lovely hearing from you.
The church was so spacious and in a quiet location too. It was a wonderful place to stay with the 'boys'. The five of us enjoy being together so much. We chugg along in our car, going places and exploring. It does make travelling so much more interesting to have the 'boys' along on our journeys, making memories and laughing at things that go 'wrong'.
We hope you intend entering our book competition too, Jacqueline!
Wishing you well,
Happy reading and safe travels

That’s a unique stay indeed, Cheryl. Very nice.
It was an interesting and historic place to stay James, and even better that we could take the dogs and cat. It all makes for a relaxing and stress-free mini-break.
Thank you again, as always, for watching and commenting. We appreciate you taking time out f your day to do so.
Happy reading and safe travels

Csn you show Merino please??
@helenadavies5674. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Although we did not get to visit Merino on this occasion, our intention is to always return to towns or areas/districts, in order to cover other towns or other interesting areas of towns already presented. So yes, one day we will present Merino for viewers.
Is there a particular reason that you would like Merino to be shown?
Happy reading and safe travels

@@helenadavies5674 Ha! I knew there was a particular reason.
Well.....just for you, I am trying to plan going back and film Merino and a few other places too. It will not be in the immediate future, but I am 'hoping' before the end of the year......Fingers crossed.
Keep watching!
Cheers

@@AustralianBookTravels-ii8iy thankyou...I really appreciate that.
Looking at the footage of Sandford brought back a lot of memories of the little village it was as each day we would take that road on a yellow bus which transported us home from the school. I used to go to in Casterton and the short cut dusty unmade road that took us home and we would come down this steep hill to our home on the service rd. I remember that...and the dust😂😂.
Pretty place.
Spent a good amount of time at the tennis club.
My father owned the sawmill there and was pretty involved in getting it and the swimming pool up and going. My uncle was involved in making that a solar panel pool long before solar was a thing.
Thankyou for doing that.
Have a great day
