I very much like a spoke key that has different wings. Either color or finish as it's easier to tell a whole turn. The DT one you showed has a small hole in it and I often use that as my reference. Nice review.
Thanks for a very objective review. Once I got past my ‘Father Ted’ moment and realised they weren’t massive, just the perspective of the camera! They look incredibly well machined but absolutely agree with your half, quarter, eighth comment. Good luck to the guy(s) at Monolith I think they have great potential.
Hoping to get my hands on one soon! I spoke about making a tool of my own for the workshop (in my video about ERD) and I think the CaliperERD is exactly the sort of thing I was thinking!
Why not chamfer the bottom of the nipple wrench so it slips on the nipple easier and is less likely to mar the nipples. I chamfer the DT Swiss wrenches I use for that reason.
@@RyanBuildsWheels I assumed a neele file would be good. Then I found myself holding a Dremel with a cone-shaped stone on the end, and have used that stone with joy ever since. Super fast and easy.

Thanks Phil! Appreciated :-)
I do the same with the hole on the DT yes!

I think so to! Excited to see what else they'll come up with!
The CalipERD tool looks really good. I might have to invest in one of those

A good idea; can give it a go for sure; using a needle file I assume?
Yes, 4 sided are always a bit harder to slip on and off and this may help.
