Dan as I have commented before you really "Have it together" You bring a smile to this old guy's face (77) every time you "Shade Tree" something to get it to work. I look forward to your ingenuity. Anyone that rips on you needs their head examined. Most young guys today don't even know what a starter solenoid is. Let alone how to hook up a battery correctly. A shout out from North Carolina USA. Good Stuff. Also Dani is a nice touch.
Love the T ITS kind of hot rod I like simple and not overly engeneered so it will always be fun to fix if ever needed. I always use the starter sonolid to excit the alternator on my junk that I work on same wire use to go to dist to give 12 volts for easier starts. Then it dead ends in sonild and alternator in working, Like video keep em coming.
What happened to this build? This looks like the last video on your channel showing any progress with it. Was looking forward to seeing it finished and driven.
I have only been watching your channel for just over a year! I went back to watch the series of this hotrod! I think this car was awesome cool 😎! I would have enjoyed cruising in this wicked cool machine!
Man you put a huge smile on my mug at the end of that video! Love the progress and I actually understood and followed your wiring explanation. Thanks for the lesson!
that 2 gauge welding cable is a great battery cable, stock cables are smaller, love Dani's expression when revving it.too cute, she might like it outside when its a driver
True professional wiring there where everything is all one color! This "red" wire goes to the starter power, this "red" wire goes to the starter solenoid, this "red" wire goes to the ignition switch. :)
Got to love that clip with the girlfriend and Flames. Looks like something from a cartoon lol. The girlfriend and you seem to have a lot of fun doing these video's very cool.
Because of you two I decided to start building my own. I think I will go with a truck because winter here can be brutal and I need a daily driver. There’s a ‘79 bronco around the corner I want so I will walk up to the door with cash in hand if not I will try something else. The reason I want to build my own vehicle is because my dreams were crushed by many people and building my own rig is what I want to do so imma gonna do it for me.
What a sweet ride dan , boy she sure come a long way in a short time , but I feel your right on buying a new tank at some point . Keep up the FANTASTIC work . Cheers
Freakin Awesome!!!!! Think Dannie will get warmed up to it once you take her for a few hot laps! Looking good! That Doubble U-joint did the trick, looks like its gonna work minty. I've always enjoyed the wiring end of the projects. However..... we gotta talk about adding a few more colors to your wire selection, LOL! Looking great Dan, can't wait for the maiden voyage!
@@DDSpeedShop HAHAHA Figured as much! Hope you can remember them later on! Seen this heat shrink stuff that has labels on it (Ign, Start, LT Signal, RT signal, brake, heater, etc etc.), so bulk red wire guys can still find their way around their wiring. Pretty neat idea.
The T has come so far. Looking good. I think you talked about it before, but are you going to do a top. A think a snap on canvas top would look super nice. Keep up the great work.
A girlfriend that actually indulges your hot rod addiction, and looks adorable. I don't see how you could find anyone better than that she's a keeper for sure.
I have seriously been looking at such a project to build. Keeping it simple , would like to put a T body on a Model A chassis,. You sure are giving me an incentive, just do it .
Now that’s a fire belching 283 ! Maybe some bolt on caps on those headers , then run a pipe out the bottom through the mufflers , then you can uncork them when you wanna make noise and fire 🔥
Those flames shooting out the side looks cool ass hell and loved the slow motion 🤣 you kill with those flops out there welding if that was me I'd be getting hot sparks and big chunks of fire red metal shooting between my toes on 🤣😆👌☄☄☄☄☄
good work man!! looks great love the home made exhaust. really cool.. and sounds heavy shes being a little light footed !!! i wanna see ya just give it to that old small block!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love the build so far. You aren't going to use that externally regulated alternator are you? Can't wait to see her all put together, it's gonna be sweet.
I cant wait to see the T on a night time cruise! punch the gas and watch the headers glow and spit'n fire. The T is bad a** for sure! Great rod and work !
Not sure about Manitoba but in BC a. Weld on your steering is an instant fail. Set screws on the universal joint are a must. Maybe you were going to do that?
Man that "T" is really getting there, thanks for all your work. You must have endless energy to keep at it at and have a job too. Who does your background music? Really cool sounding with the organ in it.
Awesome vidja bud . Dan stop by a local harley shop or small motorcycle repair shop and pick up a Kreem kit for the tank it's an epoxy kit to seal the inside use them all the time on hd tanks to clean up and reseal the surface rust on old tanks so as not to clog up filters
Love the flames. Looks like fun. Simplistic only what's needed wiring. Although don't forget the USB or 12V socket for charging stuff. Did ya get the Scuffys? Thanks for sharing!
Wow ya beat me Dan ya got it to run awesome workmanship man by spring hav mine running 28 Essex 2dr suide doors 350 auto hopefully from Saskabush SK ya got this thks for sharing look good in ther Danny my wiffee thinks your brave haha😊
Here in the states we have other colors of wire. Orange, green, black etc. I could probably figure a way to smuggle some to you. Maybe in a tshirt or hat box. Something like that.
Lookin good Dan. Check out Mr. Gasket 5657 throttle cable kit. I bought one last year for my '37 Chevy Street Rod. It's cut to fit so it'll fit lots of applications. Safe and reliable like you want it. Thanks for sharing your Garage Time with us.
Hey Danny, Your throttle pedal setup looks like one from a 68 - 72 Nova. If you pickup a throttle cable for a 69 thru 72 Nova, I'm sure you can drill the right size hole in your firewall and hook it right up and it would work great. I'm not sure if they used the same setup after 72 but look at your Nova and if it's the same you'll see what I mean. Simple setup, and cheap to get, with no rigging. Good luck. Later
Fire is cool. Maybe get some radiator support rods for cheap insurance your rad dont get bent or leak. I saw some on ebay for model T for 20 dollars and 19 shipping. Hot rods cost lot of money to build. But they are worth every penny.
@@DDSpeedShop Or you could look for a keg from a good source. That would be people who drink beer. They know who has the empty kegs. Didn't you just deal with someone like that? I also made a mistake on the size of the keg. I think the largest you can get is a 30 gal. keg.
That 60’s style music is the shit. Psychedelic lights goin on and glitter makeup on a short skirt hottie. Lol. Love it. No radio for the T. ? Maybe. ??? Find some 90* box speakers to mount behind and above you. I’m really anxious to see this progress more.
DD Speed Shop ya it is. I’m not a expert or of any consequence but your talents are worth compliments. Nice clean job so far. Omg your girlfriend is shooting flames, you might wanna get her checked out. Lol. Be safe up there.
You can easily make ends for the battery cables, saving time, a trip to a supplier and some, but not mucho dinero. Use appropriate size copper (steel would work, too, or aluminum, in a pinch) tubing. Pinch an end in a vise, flatten, upsize (hammer!) and trim it further to fit your mental image of what it should look like, drill a hole for the starter stud, cut to length and crimp. (Drill before cutting to length, and you'll have a handle for when the drill bit grabs it.) Voila, ta-da, and Bob's your Uncle. Am I being Captain Obvious? It was a revelation to me when an old (then) parts counter guy, younger than I am now, told me. You're the beneficiary of free transmission of generational know-how here! Awowa!

Gaining ground and making some good progress! Awesome with the flames and Dani showing the T who's boss! LOL

I thought I was the only guy that welded in safety sandals!!!!!!
thats what theyre ment for haha
Number 2 cable is good...lots of small wires is also good...the juice runs on the outside of the wire...like in a big welding cable. Wiring is fun!
Haha its somthing

haha its onlt got a couple screws holding it on
Gotta love it! Danni was hilarious when she was revving it, she looked like a scared kid. Lol

Hell yeah! For the tank leaking, get a POR15 tank sealer kit. It seals rust and small pinholes real good.
Wow its super loud Love It !!! Great Vid again 🖒🖒
Honest to God ppl I was terrified the first time! The 2nd time was still scary but much more fun! Ha ha

I just found you a few days ago. One of you 57 Chevy four door videos showed up as a suggestion. Man I love budget rods. This is a sweet car.
Thanks buddy! Appreciate the support
Can't wait to see it finished
Yes nice one thanks for showing your build eh friend from B.C Rob✌
Much respect from Ontario
That’s badass!! Car sounds awesome!! Coming along!!i think Dani is starting to warm up to the T!!
Super impressive progress Dan, the car will be burning rubber in no time! 👍🏻
So if somthin goes wrong with electrical you'll know its the red wire . 👍😎
haha its easy to remeber
A boot from a CV axle might work for your steering seal. They make replacement parts that you can slip around the shaft without taking it apart.
yeah ive seen those i for sure need one

I'm thinking larger charge wire from the Alt. And ground wire from the back of the Alt. to the frame. Looking Great!
yup still needs some fine tuning haha
I believe that is two wire that'll work fine just make sure that you solder and heat shrink all your connections

You should time the u joints in the steering so that they don't bind. That means that the joint crosses need to line up with each other.
Early S10 gas pedal and cable works really well. I use them all the time check out speedway motors for a steering boot.
Nice! I'll check that stuff out
good work man!! looks great
