I was thinking of getting the Worx table, until I saw this video. I changed my mind to this Toughbuilt workbench
This is a pretty solid little workbench. While once you figure out how it comes together, it is physically Easy to assemble ruclips.net/user/postUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh by yourself. But the diagrams explaining the steps are really pretty bad. I could not get the handle pins in all the way despite multiple attempts, so I just used a screw I had on hand for the 2nd handle. I could not get the first pin in further or pull it back out. You are supposed to hammer it in, but I had no leverage and the handle is plastic and I did not want to risk breaking it. I will get a lot of use out of the bench because of the convenient size and height. It does fold up nicely for storage. They even explain how to fold it so you don't get pinched...that is important!
the new one weighs more than 33 pounds i just bought 2 months ago I am a 5 ft tall woman 120 lbs and this thing is HEAVY so I roll it around with my folding hand truck to wear I need it . Plus I am 69 years old . I am remodeling my house . new floors , new moldings and new doors 2440 sq ft and was tired of putting chop saw and vinyl plank floor cutter on my deck floor nd getting up and down . It is a great table and easy to unfold . I had borrowed the dewalt one from a friend but it was a pain to set up and adjust legs . especially when you are short . I stood on mine and used it for putting up crown molding with a ladder with a board between the 2 . Used it last week to install wired smoke detectors . I wish they put rolling locking wheels on it that you could raise or lower plus make it easier to move around
its good exercise
Thanks for review and lifting!
Just bought one at Lowe's.
Was on sale for $69, couldn't pass it up.
It looks very sturdy and is very portable . I was able to store it in the back seat of my truck, then put my other tool boxes on top of it .. Takes very little space when not in use 👍
Great video thank you for the effort you put into your videos.
Looks pretty awesome. I would also use it to set up next to the grill, especially when out & about.
Wow that’s extremely impressive and compact. I’m getting one thanks 👍
Great review ! Im gonna have to go search for it and get me one .
Nice video! To the point !!
I know what I want for Christmas
Great video! Thank you
What a great review and a great table . I don’t have any use for this table but yet I feel like I need it . 😂. Think I’ll get it for my brother for Christmas and use it . 😂
Fantastic video! You answered most of the questions I had and I appreciate the real life demonstration - you know it's funny the cheap sawhorses that I got at Harbor freight said they can hold 1100 pounds as a pair lol!! I'd like to see you test that - but please keep all the children away when you do it!
THAT IS HEAVY!!
Sold! Thanks for making this video!
You bet. I’m sure you’ll enjoy that workbench
Thanks, I have the work horse it’s just as good. This is 110. At Lowe’s now 😂I’m getting it …
I love mine! Been using it almost everyday since I got it from your video preview
It is a great workbench for sure.
Just bought mine at lowes for $79. $85 with tax. Online shows regular price but it was marked fow. In store. I had to grab it. Been waiting for a sale. I like this one more then the dewalt
I wasn't sure I needed one. I suppose I could make room in my shop now.
Oh yeah!!!!!
10$ cheaper than the dewalt black Friday table as well.
Yep yep yep, Now I want one too! lol
I think I like the pony 2 in 1 a tad bit better since it has channels to put clamps in so some horizontal clamping and not just up and down. Now if they modified this model to have clamping channel in it, then it would be perfect
Nice review! One thing, the oval holes are for quick clamps but the round holes are for bench dogs or special bench dog clamps.
I got this table, however the legs are definitely, absolutely not 100% solid steel. It would be massively heavy, so they chose a hollow square tubing instead.
I have the Dewalt table, which I love. Thanks for doing this video, as this table is much nicer than I expected and every bit as good as the Dewalt table.
Looks like they are made by the same manufacture
@@chadwickhayes8260 Interesting observation! Could be.
No, Dewalt is made in Israel by Keter and this one in India. I bought both and looked them over side by side and went with the ToughBuilt because a) felt more stable, b) like clip tech feature and c) was $20 less. Both are nice and would do the job.
@@anthonymorello6214 Thanks for the reply. I also like the Toughbuilt table top length and angle measuring display.
@masteringmayhem Marius is the whole table metal? And anyway you could tell me the thickness of the table working surface plz? Have a great day and great video!
I recently picked up one of these at Lowes, solid and portable but so far my disappointment with it is it sucks when trying to plane boards, rocks terribly rendering it useless for that function, also can't clamp anything on the side so other than being able to hold a lot of weight I'm pretty mush disappointed over all.
I wish the work surface was bigger. I use the Lifetime folding tables and loooove them. They deploy fast, store flat and compact, have lots of height adjustment, Im sure they wont hold 1,000+ pounds but they are plenty strong to handle anything I through at them. They work perfect for just having an extra bench or having a dedicated bench to stack all your tools/screws etc. on so your not clogging up your main cut/work bench. It would be nice if they had slots for clamps but that's not what they are made for and for half the price, double the work surface, I wont be switching. Thanks for the review though.
Both!
Another reviewer put 1,100 lbs so yeah I would say they can hold 1,000 lbs no problem.
How would you compare this to the Bora Centipede? better or worse
Haven’t seen the Milwaukee vs Dewalt cable stapler anywhere should be good for the vs channel
Milwaukee way better! Not even close.
How does it compare to the Dewalt?
Better than the dewalt ?
Can You Put a Vise on it ??
Does anyone know what size the bench dog holes are, 19mm or 20mm?? TIA
I have the dewalt one wondering if this is made by the same company that made the dewalt one
I don’t think so - this one is made in India whereas dewalt is made in Israel (keter)
Hi, How flat is the bench surface ? I checked a dewalt one and it had a serious bow in the. middle
Would really like to know this too
On the lowe's web site there are some reviews that mention the legs don't lock securely and can closeup when you move the table. Are you having that issue?
You have to click them in , also when you close, you have to push a tiny bit to hear it click in.. mine is like that..
7-19-24 is says not sold anymore
Anyone here after they got them for $49 last night?
Lowes not reordering this table for sale. All Lowes stores in the Atlanta rea is sold out and they will not reorder and Lowes refuses to update thier web sites
whats the height on that workbench?
31 inches tall
My guess 36". I need 2 as a low plank support4 painting ect,🤕 aux of clamps👍
@@MasteringMayhem since you have this table for a while now would you still recommend it?
119 dollars at Lowes as of today
Doesn't seem too sturdy
