Thanks Jim! Always appreciate you man, miss ya and hope your surgery went better than well! Hope to see more tutorials / just you playing a song lost in time. Love ya!
Absolutely fantastic as always Jim ! Your big banjo brain has no doubt already thought of this but will you now do a segment on combining these chord shapes into convenient nearby groupings that we’ll typically find in songs ? You’re the best !
I found the last shape easiest but I think that's because I'm used to using that in a tune. If only I wasn't so ancient that I could remember which one! 🤣
Thanks for all the great videos! I had a song suggestion for your song lessons: O Susana (dont you cry for me). If you would do that, I would be pleased, but thank you anyway for your constant hard work!
Very helpful Jim! I love your videos! I can't for the life of me hold down 2 strings at once with 1 finger. 1 or both strings always get muted. Any tips?
Hi Jim, great video thanks! Would it be possible to include the root note in your chord diagrams, so I can see which string you are using for naming the chord? Hope that makes sense! TIA 🙂👍
Jim thank you for such a clear demonstration of 7th chords. I've been trying to sort them out forever. Great video as always. Thanks again!
Glad it was helpful!
Clear and precise instruction as always. Thanks, Jim!

Fantastic lesson Jim, very clear and precise.

Every single time I watch you. I forgot about the social finger, I hear you say it and I get a big doofy grin on my face.
Glad I can make you smile. 🥸

Part of the whole learning process is discovery....

It’s just not a tune that really ever comes up for me. In 40 years of playing I’ve never encountered it at a jam or with a band.
@@JimPankey Ok, totally understand. God Bless!
Jim as always VERY MUCH APPRECIATED THANK 🐑 FRIEND. Sending 🐑🙏🙏 4 your health issues. Again THANKS fiddlin Johnny f.
Thanks so much. Glad you enjoy the lessons.
Very helpful Jim! I love your videos!

It’s something that everyone struggles with. You’ll get it.
@@JimPankey Okay, I feel better about that, lol. Thank you!
I'm going to demonstrate my ignorance for a moment by asking what the contraption up on the tuning head of the banjo he's playing is.

Kinda late for that since the video is already posted.
@@JimPankey ...for next time maybe? 🤣👍
Confession… I really don’t think of chords like that. I honestly don’t think about where the root is. I just learned where the chord was.
minor 7th chord moveable shapes ?
If you've got the major, minor, and 7th shapes, I bet you can sort out the rest on your own.
I tried my mind doesnt work that way I need pictures ;)@@JimPankey
Oh wow, thats cool new stuff for me.. thank you! ✌🪕
