Absolutely fantastic as always Jim !
Your big banjo brain has no doubt already thought of this but will you now do a segment on combining these chord shapes into convenient nearby groupings that we’ll typically find in songs ?
    You’re the best !

I found the last shape easiest but I think that's because I'm used to using that in a tune. If only I wasn't so ancient that I could remember which one! 🤣

It’s just not a tune that really ever comes up for me. In 40 years of playing I’ve never encountered it at a jam or with a band.

I can't for the life of me hold down 2 strings at once with 1 finger. 1 or both strings always get muted. Any tips?

I'm going to demonstrate my ignorance for a moment by asking what the contraption up on the tuning head of the banjo he's playing is.

Hi Jim, great video thanks! Would it be possible to include the root note in your chord diagrams, so I can see which string you are using for naming the chord? Hope that makes sense! TIA 🙂👍

Confession… I really don’t think of chords like that. I honestly don’t think about where the root is. I just learned where the chord was.
