Jason and the rest of the cast was amazing! The only thing that I felt was missing was them showcasing when Eazy went at Dre and Snoop on “Real MF G’s”. That scene would’ve been crazy!
He did such a good job as Eazy, I'm glad they went with him, Lil Eazy looked the part, but this guy was able to bring some acting depth to the role, and Lil Eazy, was super positive and said they gave him a fair shot in his most recent interview with Dub C
Jason is a phenomenal! I enjoyed hearing this story because it is the reaction most of would have had. It gave some insight into how auditions work. Wishing Jason all the success and peace!
Fam killd that role, he made The Chi fire, he even did good in the Kong movie it’s one of my favorites now because of that cast. Fire actor. Nobody else could ever play Eazy E including his son 😭😭
I knew Eazy through his cousin Brian who was my best friend’s boyfriend so I could honestly say he nailed Eazy E . I felt like he was brought back to life .
I swear I went to see it 4 times in theaters it's opening month....it felt great each time it was packed each time the whole movie theater was into it I felt proud to be from Compton born and raised
Shout out to my boy BRANDON T. JACKSON. I Watched him grow up from a Elementary school Kid to a grown Adult. Going all the way back to the late 90's at GREAT FAITH MINISTRIES. Very happy and proud of his progress and successes! Salute King! An DETROIT in the Building!!! East 7-Mile to be exact!
Watching straight outta Compton is almost nostalgic for me now, I remember the night I saw it in cinema and thought to myself self I don’t remember the last time I enjoyed a movie as much as I did this one, the years have just rolled on bye crazy how time flys
What Jason basically said ppl from New Orleans talk 'funny' is so true. I remember a few time I went out of town, esp St. Louis, and I started a convo with someone I always get asked where I'm from lol
His interview is raw and uncut, like I have never seen before on Vlad he did a great job potraying a Soldier coming Home from World War II in The Netflix movie with Mary J Blige. The only reason he does not have Michael B. Jordan status is because of the Me-Too movement.
Not many ppl mention this film, but I loved his role in Barry. I know his character wasn't all that main but after that invisible man basketball scene his character's presence was established, he really played that role- I wonder how much was improv on set and off-script. Hell of an actor, definitely under rated in today's time.
Lil Eazy feeling some kind of way about not getting the part always felt stupid to me. Out here in L.A. everyone knew Cube Jr was going to USC film school and was put through the ringer cause Cube didn’t want to look bad. Lil E wanted a handout with ZERO prep on his part. Eazy was done Justice✊🏽
I said the same thing until I looked a bow wow in lottery ticket which came out 13 years ago. They actually favor a lil bit ain’t no telling how Jason looked back then
Surprised Vlad didn't interrupted with a Flash Back of Lil Eazy E discussing auditioning for the film and y he thought he didn't get. And the the awkward stare by Dre bc he was shocked at how much Lil E has grown to look like Eazy(@ the 1st audition).
He did great as Eazy E , but I think he'd do even better as Jam master Jay in my opinion! Voice is a little different but I think he can pull it off appearance wise ...
@@Wh4L205 I'm pretty sure people thought the same about him prior to playing Eazy . He's actually darker than Eazy , but I believe he'd look similar to JMJ with the proper hat and facial hair
They thought Jason Mitchell looked too much like Bow Wow on camera??? Makes zero sense. That's like sayin Bow Wow could've played Eazy E. Never could he ever.
Eazy-E daughter being serious about playing Eazy-E talkin about it's going to be an oscar-winning performance is the perfect example of delusion.😂 A girl playing Eazy-E, that movie would have been trashed talked about so bad😂😂 she trippin😂
Lil eazy does look just like his daddy it's uncanny it's just body type wise he doesn't he's got a build like a tank just like eazy e,but he the tank that got the cannon n bigger motor n armour ya feel me? This man when I saw him Dio from the police with c rak as they battered ram,I said ok. ...then when he pulled the mp5,I thought I was looking at eazy on neighborhood sniper music video, then when he cried saying he had aids man I almost cried Eazy e was my favorite rapper next to Tupac but I modeled my style of dress with my north Dallas Mexican twist lol,the locs the jeans all that man,Cortez chux etc he captured eazy e really badass
I think they did it that way because he may have let his ego get to him knowing he had the role. They wanted to see him in a genuine humble state thru the casting process lol
I remember watching Straight Outta Compton in the theater, crazy it’s been almost a decade since it came out
2015
I remember going to the movies seeing it too
That's crazy, time flies
Right, good times
@@datboiijuanhtx literally almost a decade.
That opening scene in the movie is an all time classic opening. That set the movie off perfect
I can listen to him tell stories all day foreal. Great story teller
Right! That’s what we told him

Lol. The movie was half bullshit and a lot conveniently left out.

Such a shame he never got the spotlight he deserved. A phenomenal actor
He shot himself in the foot with his alleged, actions.
He had every opportunity and dropped the bag
His jacket is Me Too colored
He was OK him being a weirdo ruined his career
Damn what did I miss. I'm about to Google now 😂
I really like him. He’s seems so genuine and down to earth.
Jason is a phenomenal! I enjoyed hearing this story because it is the reaction most of would have had. It gave some insight into how auditions work. Wishing Jason all the success and peace!
Dam, now I want to watch Straight Outta Compton again.
Fam killd that role, he made The Chi fire, he even did good in the Kong movie it’s one of my favorites now because of that cast. Fire actor. Nobody else could ever play Eazy E including his son 😭😭
He deserves more shine. Actors have it very hard. All we see are the films and the completed project, but there is so much more to it than just that.
I was a bit bothered when lil eazy didn’t get the role but after the role he killed it
Leon from snowfall should’ve played easy e
as much as dre n shit said they didnt have beef with eazy after his death, they were still bitter and thats why they didnt cast lil easy
lil eazy fat asf u wrong 😂😂
Lil Eazy doesn't have to same body type as his pops, lil E short like his pops but he hella buff & husky, his pops wasn't
@@Kev_-qm1jehe also didn’t have da high pitch.
He killed that role inna movie💯 I think he did phenomenal fasho, hope they’re bring ‘em bac for a Eazy E biopic or sum
That won’t happen. His career is over and deservedly so.
his movie mudbound was phenomenal, he was on the cusp of mainstream then but he fucked it all up with his antics.
Mud bound is a masterpiece for sure!!
He sounds like Too Short, Symba and DL Hughley all at the same time
I knew Eazy through his cousin Brian who was my best friend’s boyfriend so I could honestly say he nailed Eazy E . I felt like he was brought back to life .
His time is coming back to be a better actor and performer have faith he's walking the right path.. blessing
He was killing it on the Chi.
Yup i stopped watching when they kicked him off
Became less interested after he left and stopped watching after they killed off Ronnie
@@WhiteSauceher me too. When Ronnie died it seemed like the soul of the series left.

Can’t bounce back from those allegations unless you got extraordinary talent sadly
@ Wi Woo those allegations were bull tho

👍 up
Had to be a white dude who said he look like bow wow 😭😭😭
Bring him back as Eazy in a Bone Thugs biopic
Straight outta Compton is what introduced me to Jason Mitchell and ever since that I wanted to see him in more roles

Him and Mary were epic in Mudbone

He did the LA accent perfect 'aye buster' lmao I've been told by my southern friends that we talk proper and hood at the same time😂
I like him he a definite story teller👏🏾
Jason actually looks like Lil Eazy E surprising
They're both short and stocky
They look nothing alike! 😂😂
I like how he breaks down the Film industry and how it’s therapeutic for Black men to express our trauma on screen.
BEAUTIFUL INTERVIEW
His role was the most powerful in the entire movie, I actually thought I was watching Eazy E. Same height, looks, voice swagger and everything.
He was awesome SOC killed it 👍🏻👍🏻

Nevermind, he did it in part 7. Vlads Flashback drops are so predictable now.
Once they killed his character in the chi that show ain't the same
Crazy I say this but “straight outta Compton” was the last great movie I ever seen inna movie theater since (2015) ..I had fun✅💐
Met him in Oklahoma he a real solid non Hollywood dude
Hes sooo correct. LA hood dudes speak very proper english with their slang
He stays in acting mode. Dope 😂
