After playing Outer Wilds from seeing Nerdcubed and Scott Manly give it a try, I was truly amazed by how something like an indie game in alpha stages could give me more of an impactful extravagant experience than any triple A title I'd ever bothered with in the past. Outer Wilds really understands that child-like wonder in everybody when they look up at the sky and start imagining what it'd be like to touch everything you can see. The traveler banjo song at Brittle Hollow got stuck in my head so much that I actually dreamed of it, and Brittle Hollow then turned into my absolute favorite planet. I love your music for the game, especially the core of Giant's Deep. That is the perfect blend of majestic, eery, and mysterious. I cannot wait to see where Outer Wilds goes. I hope it gets some nice big funding and turns into a great big independent masterpiece. On behalf of all the people that appreciate a rare genre of game pulled off at this level of creativity and fun, I thank you for your crucial musical contributions to Outer Wilds.
The music that plays at the core of giant's deep sends shivers down my spine every time, guaranteed. I love it. And nothing quite beats flying off into space and hearing the travelling theme slowly fade in. The music just... _works_ It works so well with this game.
I recently jumped into Outer Wilds when it was added to Xbox Game Pass. As soon as the main menu came up with the main theme I immediately knew the entire soundtrack would be spectacular and that I might be playing one of my favorite games yet. These turned out to be true. Thank you for this.
There's something about the humbling nature of space exploration that you capture so perfectly in the soundtrack. It feels like you're an ant on the precipice of a massive canyon.
I can only echo everyone else's comments about the music for this epic game. The soundtrack is genuinely up there with Howard Shore's soundtrack for lord of the rings. I listen to the Outer Wilds music almost daily. I fall asleep listening to it at bedtime and wander dartmoor listening to it and feel comfort because it reminds me of my son who lives a couple of hundred miles away with his mum. He introduced me to the game so this music has become a comfort blanket for me. Thanks Andrew, you're an absolute genius🙌🏽

We immediately went searching for the soundtrack because music is such an integral layer to the story, all the way through to the intended ending. (We also just played the terrible fate ending and died laughing! XD) Thanks so much for your score. I'll continue to listen to it with fond memories of falling into black holes and roasting a marshmallow during a supernova.

I didn't know what it was about, never have I heard of it. But when I saw the intended ending with the instruments playing around the campfire, I cried. In this hard times of the pandemic, the quarantine has taken it's toll on me. I don't know what is going to happen and some bad thoughts and feelings have been crossing my mind lately. Then I saw that ending, and the song, and although I haven't played it yet it moved me in a way that not even the songs I love the most do. I woke up this morning and learned the song so I can play it. I'm planning on realeasing an album with acousting songs, and you're surely going to be one of my references. I don't have a good PC to play the game right now, but I'll definitely play it once I get one, despite of knowing about some endings and stuff. Thank you, man. I'm subscribing. Dude, your score for the game is just amazing. I love the adventure, camp-fire feel of the main melody, but one that just got me hard was The Sun Station. It’s just so vast, empty, inorganic, eternal. I can’t explain how much I love The Sun Station. It shot me full of existential crisis and metaphysics.
Just finished the game on full release but played it since the alpha, I have been waiting so long for this game and when it finally arrived I was worried some big publisher or company may have given you more resources but taken away your creativity, I now see I was wrong to suspect such things. I immediately grew obsessed with the amazing soundtrack of the game, and as I put it in my playlist of it, it is “space folk”. I even learned how to play Riebecks little banjo riff on my guitar and bass by ear because of how much I listened to it. All I’m trying to get down to is, thank you for this work of art you’ve brought into the world.

The music nearing the end really helped to make that mysterious vibe come out, and that banjo song on brittle hollow was always a nice break for relaxation, and I always felt that amazing music kick in when I discovered something new and then dreadful music when I entered the depths of the dark bramble, but my favorite is actually the sound that accompanies when you do the most amazing adventure, then you feel confident in your findings, and you can hear the sound of the super nova theme starting meaning a new cycle was right around the corner, this game has rightfully and quickly became one of my favorites, bringing me back to my childhood, but also keeping that adult vibe around in the air, I love this game a whole lot, from the character building, to the musical atmosphere, thank you so much for making the score to this game just as great, if not better, than one of my favorite games

Really want to have tabs for 4.04 onwards. That build up into that little riff was so awesome. Great work on all the tracks. Really amazing idea to transform space faring music into familiar wilderness music. The idea that a whole crazy solar system is just our backyard or the woods near our house compared to the universe is humbling idea.

Just finished the game... Listened to the soundtrack again one last time and the theme made me so sad, thinking about my poor friends who died in the nova... And then the final ending music played, and my heart just broke... I am not too proud to say I cried a little at the thought of the sun exploding, the universe finally ending, and my friends dying... The sound track to the game was utterly perfect.
3:22 I've heard like... most, if not every variation on the main theme between the official OST, live recordings and even covers, and this one easily trumps all of them and I couldn't tell you why
