I have a 2019 black label with the large engine. The owners manual states it requires regular fuel, not premium. One of the many reasons I got a Lincoln over Cadillac CT6 . Best car I have ever owned
Even though I'm finding this video now, almost 2 years later, this has to be one of the most detailed and thorough reviews of the Lincoln Continental on RUclips. Excellent content and presentation. 🤗
@@CarConfections I love the new Continental and I'm in the midst of buying a used one(2017 or 2018) in the next month. You broke down all the different trim levels and covered all the aspects of the car in a way that educates people who are informed buyers. All I can say is that for everyone who DIDN'T watch this video, they are missing out. I'm going to use it for reference material since I'm looking at the exact year, model, and color for purchase. Thank you for putting out quality content and not the standard RUclips fluff.
@@heishephaestion4178 I didn't make a purchase because I couldn't find one with the exact specs I wanted. I'm old school and like to buy models that have exactly what I want and nothing I don't. They are very reliable and excellent built cars because everyone I know who owns one, loves it.
NO it wasn't. But maybe the person didn't know that the Lincolns have this horrible "Battery Saver SHUIT DOWN" feature. As a elderly guy who doesn't drive every day, I became VERY SKPTICAL & WEARY of considering these newer Continentals because of the fact it has a "Battery Saver Shut Off" feature I found out after extensive research of problems & complaints with this last generation of these Continentals. Which means, if it sits longer than ONE DAY not being start up in your driveway, the ENTIRE CAR SHUTS DOWN & you will need to jump start it. I confirmed this with a Lincoln Service Dept. Rep & this is 100% true. Being an elderly gentleman, I DO NOT drive my car everyday & have no intentions to. I drive maybe 2-3 times a week at most. So, SADLY because of the "battery Saver Shut Off" feature installed in these, this car sadly became off my list of potential used cars to look at & consider buying. And that is a bummer because it truly is a beautiful car. I think I will go with a used low mileage Genesis G90 instead or a last model Toyota Avalon. The G90 looks better than this Lincoln anyways & doesn't have no stupid Battery Save Shut Off feature in it.
I just wanted to say that this was a very well put-together review. It was very factual and descriptive. I'm assuming you're teens, based on the voices, so definitely keep it up. If you're looking to do this professionally, you're on the right track. Good writing, good presentation, and good content.
It really wasn't well put together with knowledge anyways. But maybe this reviewer didn't know about the horrible "Battery Save SHUT OFF" feature the newer Continentals have in it. Awesome review, guys! Last year I said that I was going to buy one, but before I could find a nice example near my home I needed to buy. I wound up with a used, well equipped, Fusion hybrid. A year down the road, I want to buy either a CPO Continental reserve or black label or an MKZ Hybrid (reserve or black label). I like the hybrid version of the MKZ with my largely city driving, but I still love the Connie and have had several of the previous generation, comfortable and trouble free. Any suggestions? I've also owned several late model Cadillacs, but all were unreliable and high maintenance. Lincoln seems to build their vehicles to a higher level of quality than Cadillac, and they treat their customers much better. I love the CT6, but it's soon to become an orphan and they have an unproven reliability record.
Before I started hearing about the Navigator, I didn’t even realize Lincoln was a luxury brand. I thought that they were just another mainstream brand that I hardly ever saw in a world populated by Toyotas and Hondas. I’m highly impressed by the new vehicles but I definitely still place my bets on Cadillac for now but I see potential
Very well researched video and very thorough review. New subscriber here. I'm researching new cars and the Continental is high up on my list. I see that you also recently reviewed the Cadillac XTS which is also on my list but have you reviewed the CT6 (which is also on my list)? How do the three compare and did the Continental or the Cadillacs impress you more?
Thank you and welcome to the family! The Cadillac XTS and Continental are very similar in terms of their overall mission of luxury, while the CT6 is substantially sportier and athletic. Among them, I think the Continental has the most distinctive styling but the CT6 has the best cabin of the bunch. Of course that's all subjective. Hopefully this helps somewhat!
@@CarConfections Thanks so much for the input. I realize that much of it is subjective. I've owned both Cadillacs and Lincolns but I have found the reliability and dealership experience to be better with Lincoln but I wonder if that's still the case? Could you please do one of your comparison vids between the Cadillac and Lincoln sometime? Battle for American luxury?
Exemplary video. Thank you. Lincoln, IMO, will do well to offer an elite package with bespoke (like Bentley) and maybe less plastic (handles, more metal).
I love this car but did ya notice when you opened the rear trunk in your review the top trunk lining was already sagging ?🤷♂️🤔 That has me concerned as the car itself Still has the M.S.R.P sticker right on it.!!!!
Good review, thank you! I have a few gripes about this model: why do they have those dead buttons on the right side of the nav screen? Makes it look like the owner cheaped out and didn't get the options necessary to have those buttons. I've noticed this on most of the trims. Those 4 dings @12:20 when it starts are super annoying. The exterior lock button is high gloss and will leave finger prints like no other. Cruise on left side steering wheel is not intuitive at all, almost every car I've seen is right side as it's most ppl's dominate side. Finally it's 2018 and the fuel economy is horrendous with only an 18 gal tank, the quoted 342 range is probably max if you baby it, this means you'll be filling up every 275 miles or so when low fuel light comes on, every modern vehicle should go 400+ miles comfortably on a tank. Paddle shifters? This is an old person car through and through, like putting paddle shifters on a Prius. The felt lined center console attracts dust, crumbs, hair, and is very hard to clean (it already looks dirty @13:58). I should be leather or plastic lined, although plastic isn't luxury they used a lot in the dash/center screen/and console all ready. The dash screen looks low res and dated already, the colors aren't vibrant. 360 degree camera isn't standard and blind spot monitoring isn't either for $43k+? The electronic e-brake is all the way over on the right side of the dash?!
So the big wigs built the Lincoln brand on the Town Car over the past twenty years. Moderate priced luxo cruiser. So to rebuild the brand they going w Continental. The new Continental is really nice. Just Way, Way , Way too Expensive. Definitely Not. Middle Class.

Sounds like a Hyundai salesman. I own a 2018 Continental and I have left the car undriven for almost two weeks straight when traveling. Upon returning, I press the start button and she starts right up. Go buy your overpriced imports. I'll keep my awesome Lincoln thank you very much.
Wow you definitely have a awesome way of doing close ups of this car. Awesome to see. Glad I'm subbed to you. Keep them coming!

Glad you enjoyed!
Lincoln will always be my favorite car company
I have a Black Label dealer 20 minutes from my house. Love the BL Lincoln’s.
Great video of the Lincoln Continental!! Great job guys!!!!
I be looking at this Continental starting in the Fall 2018 for a good deal - possibly new Black Label model!

Will guys be reviewing the Navigator anytime soon? Nice review of the Continental btw!
+Kadeen Hunter We certainly hope so! We should have one relatively soon at our dealer!
I wanna see a sport version with rear wheel drive. Could b the ultimate american luxury. I would buy no doubt
Making a sport version of this would just cheapen the overall classy image of the brand.

This is the best car made in America!
I hope not. The trunk lining is falling out.
Julius Jones I literally did not know that Lincolns still existed, for some reason I thought they died out in the 80s. Love the rear of this model.
My dream American sedan! Good job bro.
Years later…and still one of my favorite cars
great video appreciate it
A pretty car that is not finding many buyers. According to reports, its long-term future is already in doubt.
Do a review on the 2018 Volskwagen Jetta GLI while you wait for the 2018 Ford Edge and Murano
What was the music that you used for the qx70 review. I want it

Wonder if they’ll bring back the Mark viii. Im so over SUVS. Im loving the Conti!!
Not a bad looking vehicle. Good review
They should have done the Suicide Doors as in the show model….that would have really set it apart
They did make them with suicide doors, kind of rare and right now they’re about 100 K
“Getting in, it doesn’t look like any Lincoln I’ve been in before”
Shows what every single Lincoln interior looks like 😂
Seeing cadillac and lincoln both make a full size sedan makes me miss their rivalry for who made the more luxurious big sedans back in rhe day

Weres the CD slot so I guess cassette is out of the question .
lincoln the king
You only have to press the lock button once to remotely start it.
The interior is nice but for the money the exterior just doesn't have that wow factor...nonetheless it's a nice car!
This is why you only buy used.
what car really does unless it’s a 2 door sports car?!
Too much digital electrical to break later.
Then you need a 60s chevy truck
Ford, offer this with a 500hp version of the 5.0 Coyote or 5.2 Voodoo engine and you will sale a crap load

I hope that cheap sounding horn that blew was not from this car💯..
This car is doing poorly in sales in its own home country. The E class is out selling this car in sales, how sad.
