I have wonderful memories of going to Lexington Market both as a child and an adult. It looks really nice inside and I'm hoping it will continue to flourish for years to come.

When the subway was completed my mother gave me a sacred task before Christmas. I was sent to the market for a fresh ground jar of horseradish, and 2 bags of fresh ground coconut. They were both from the same tiny stall, and those 2 items were all that they carried.

It's really lovely. You can find it next to the Eutaw Street entrance to the market, at the bottom of the courtyard.

A key childhood memory was going to Lexington Market with my mother and seeing a lamb carcass that had been gutted, skinned, beheaded and then stood up on the counter on it's hooves - still makes me shudder to think about

They're redoing all of the city's markets. Hollins Market is currently under renovation and the Upton Market will be renovated this Summer. Soon I'll be doing video tours of the markets for my RUclips channel.
