I think Jack was lost, but have no microchip, he knows a collar, how to walk on a leash. So he ended up homeless. He knew what place to go to be noticed. Why does he have a long surgery line, and neutered too. He has not been brushed and some of his undercoat is slightly impacted but you addressed that at groomer. Thank you for saving him and sending him to a foster home. Such a nice, nice dog, and socialized well to humans & dogs. He has blossomed and become more confident. He will be adopted very quickly.
He was obviously someone's pet, he's used to people, tried to get into houses, didn't mind a collar, or even a bath! What a sweet pupper. So gorgeous too.
Thank you to the vet and the dog groomer in this video for being so gentle with Jack. This means so much to these precious souls who have been homeless. Thank you for rescuing Jack.

We have more than our share of homeless and suffering dogs but, we are not in a war with our homes being shelled. The dogs in Ukraine had families that were either killed or displaced and these poor beautiful animals are now without food or shelter and are in need of help.

This was definitely somebody’s pet. He’s a beautiful boy. I hope he wasn’t dumped. Maybe he just escaped and wandered so far his family couldn’t find him. Now that he’s been put up for adoption I hope it won’t be long before somebody takes him home. He’s good mannered, walks well on a leash, handles grooming well, likes other dogs, likes adults and kids, was neutered, and is probably very smart since he’s a shepherd mix. He checks off many of the boxes potential adopters look for.
The family ❤ who let him in during the shelling are truly compassionate people- to a helpless loving being that has clearly been abandoned after belonging in a home - shelter during a very scary time! God Bless them with safety until this is over 🙏🇨🇦

Just lost our dog Topaz on thursday. She was old and we heartbreakingly had to let her go. Please everybody, if you can, go to your nearest dogs home and get yourself a friend for life. The pain at the end is indescribable, but the love you receive more than makes up for it. Love you forever Topaz ❤
